Thorn, a veteran fighter who has lost much of his vigor and ferocity over the years, wanders a devastated planet looking for his daughter. In this 2D top-down action RPG, you may dodge, parry, and chop your way out of bloody fights while learning the terrifying story of Thorn's quest to bring his family back together.

• The harsh planet of Dewr, with its wrecked beauty and hostile tribes, is full of danger on every turn. You'll have to deal with swift battles in this game that feature counterattacks, parries, and dodges. Making mistakes will be costly, and you'll continue to feel vulnerable as you deal with Dewr's perils.
• Thorn, a former soldier who endured an unimaginably horrific war, surrenders his blood-stained weapons. Thorn is content to lead a quiet life as a tavernkeeper, but his thoughts and dreams often turn to his long-lost daughter Leaf. That is, until Thorn sees the person who kidnapped Leaf so long ago make a surprise appearance.

Where a parent's duty ends and something more primitive begins is a question that the game ponders, inspired by the creators' own personal life experiences and emotions.
• Thorn can withstand any severe battle with skill, and when you find new tools and materials to use against your enemies, his ferocity only increases. However, it takes practice to master the chaotic throes of desperate fight. If you have a string of miserable failures on your trip, don't give up.

No Place For Brave is an incredible top-down adventure that tells a touching story about the lengths one will go for family. Its weighty combat is challenging but fair which makes each battle a thrill. Although I did encounter the occasional bug which stifled the pace, this didn’t hinder what was a wonderful and touching experience.

By taking the best elements from Sekiro and translating those into a fast-paced, isometric ARPG with deep world-building and compelling narrative hooks, No Place for Bravery does more than enough to provide a title that stands out amidst a sea of samey competition.
