I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about this whole body shifting feature when I first saw this game at last year’s E3 show, but now that I’ve played it and see the wealth of original gameplay and tactical potential this clever innovation offers, I can’t imagine a sandbox racer without it. I just hope I don’t have to be in a coma for all my future racing games. Until then, Driver: San Francisco is without a doubt, one of the most entertaining, innovative, and challenging racing games you can play on your console or PC.

Game Chronicles

Unlike previous Driver games, there is no getting out of the car and there is no shooting mechanics. DSF is all about driving and that’s a good thing as it’s not trying to be a GTA game in any aspect. DSf does a great job at blending real driving with the absurdity of the Shift mechanic and it all comes together somehow in a great package with a long shelf life.

XboxAddict

Driver: San Francisco is easily the most surprising game I’ve played this year. I’ve been a fan of arcade racing games for as long as they’ve been around, and Ubisoft Reflections shows that there’s still plenty of life in the genre – even if it means remotely controlling the action in a hospital gown somewhere.
