About Colored Effects

Colored Effects is a minimalist puzzle platformer with unique handcrafted levels and a simple design developed by TACSOU. For me, the hallmark of a good puzzler is reaching a zen-like state with the game. That happened early for me with Colored Effects and I didn’t let up until I hit the end. I wish there were more, but that’s not a complaint from me. At such a low price point, and with solid execution, there’s no reason not to spend your weekend with this excellent little indie.

Pure Nintendo

I really liked Colored Effects. There was something about this simple puzzler that really resonated with me. Maybe it was the rewarding puzzle design that felt challenging but not to the point of stress. Even when I did hit a puzzle wall, I happily walked away to try again later. For a very low price of entry, you can enjoy one of the best puzzle platformers I have played on Nintendo Switch this year. Colour me surprised.
