The god Hoochooboo is hungry, and you must satisfy his hunger or end up being eaten! Cannibal Cuisine will have you scrambling for tourists, vegetables, and fruits so you can serve whatever dish Hoochooboo is craving.

• Tour the island in the game’s campaign mode. But it won’t be a walk in the park as there are obstacles on your way such as spikes on the ground, lava in the underground, or tourist-infested jungles.
• There are other challenges to take on aside from cooking to prove yourself worthy of being called the best cook.
• Your special powers give you other ways to complete your objectives, so use them to your advantage.
• Have fun with your friends and play in co-op with up to 4 players. Challenge each other in PvP and see who wins the foodfight.

Overall, if you like Overcooked! and are looking for more of the same that isn’t cheap and nasty like the several other options currently available on the store, Cannibal Cuisine isn’t a bad shout. It’s not overly priced, it’s got a fair challenge to keep you going for a while and the co-op play is seamless. Sure, meal variety could have been a little more exciting but for what it is, it’s not a bad effort and will certainly do the job until we hear from Overcooked! 3 at some point.

Despite borrowing heavily from Overcooked!, Cannibal Cuisine strikes more of a party game tone, with mixed results. The gameplay lacks finesse, and despite providing a few laughs with friends, you’ll find it difficult not to revert back to the inspirational rival.
