Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - talk about taking the franchise to the next level! The exosuits, the futuristic weaponry, it's like playing a sci-fi action movie. And the campaign, with Kevin Spacey's incredible performance, it's storytelling at its finest. Multiplayer, on the other hand, is a heart-pounding rush of tactics and firepower. But what's really striking is the glimpse it gives us into a possible future of warfare.
For me, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is the best futuristic opus in the CoD series. Indeed, the game's movements offer interesting possibilities for duels and multiplayer strategy: verticality to surprise the opponent, running on walls to go faster, sometimes surreal slides that force the opponent to lower his sights... the maps are well thought out to match the gameplay. Content-wise, it's standard, as with other Call of Duty games.
Among all titles in the franchise, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare isn't as popular as others. However, I had a great time playing it and would highly recommend if you are looking for a good FPS campaign. Sadly, multiplayer wasn't that fun and zombie mode is locked behind payed DLC, but the story is pretty good and challenging. With its sci-fi elements, this game looks beautiful and plays very well. If you find a good discount, go for it without hesitation!
Another entry in the Call of Duty series, tackling again a more futuristic take on the franchise but without going too overboard. Advanced Warfare is developed by Sledgehammer, and like the Black Ops series come with a slew of content. With some contents like the so called Exo Zombies, which is partially spoiled on the map Riot when reaching the 11th round.. This is interesting because the Zombie outbreak is for once correlated to the campaign. And as always multiplayer is the focus.
COD Advanced Warfare changed a bit the formula of previous titles by introducing futuristic gameplay with grappling hooks, jetpacks, cloaking abilities and tools like drones, energy weapons and much more. The campaign is a bit short but Kevin Spacey delivers a great performance and the multiplayer was fun. at this price is well worth it, especially if the servers are still up.
