About this game

Button City is a colorful adventure and exploration game, set in a low poly cute diorama world. You play as Fennel the fox a new kid in town although a timid and a recluse you form a comradery with other kids at the local arcade, but just as soon as you meet new friends the thing that has banded you together is in danger of being closed down by a greedy capitalist, a fat cat named Peppermint Pepperbottom. Fennel gets swept up in a whirlwind adventure and schemes to save it from being shut down.

• Explore the beautiful town presented in a low poly diorama, travel through the game world by scrolling vertically through different stacked tile areas representing the different points of interest in the town.
• Complete fun and silly side quests, master three arcade mini-games found at the arcade Gobabots – a fun Moba like the game, rEVolution Racer – a fun racing game, and Prisma Beats – a rhythm-based game with great visuals.  Once you master you will be able to unlock a new game mode.
• Decorate your room and dress up in silly costumes with the items find across town.

Like a good diorama, Button City has a lot of fine detail. Sure the story is breezy and the characters are charming, but what about the games? What about the simple, engaging level design? I wish the sidequests were less about long walks, yes. I want a run button so very badly, it’s true. And the games could actually be harder.

Button City is an excellent adventure that’s lighthearted at its core with dashes of arcade silliness mixed in for good measure. Minus a few false notes within the gameplay, this one is definitely worth throwing in the direction of younger gamers.
