About this game

Button City is a colorful adventure and exploration game, set in a low poly cute diorama world. You play as Fennel the fox a new kid in town although a timid and a recluse you form a comradery with other kids at the local arcade, but just as soon as you meet new friends the thing that has banded you together is in danger of being closed down by a greedy capitalist, a fat cat named Peppermint Pepperbottom. Fennel gets swept up in a whirlwind adventure and schemes to save it from being shut down.

• Explore the beautiful town presented in a low poly diorama, travel through the game world by scrolling vertically through different stacked tile areas representing the different points of interest in the town.
• Complete fun and silly side quests, master three arcade mini-games found at the arcade Gobabots – a fun Moba like the game, rEVolution Racer – a fun racing game, and Prisma Beats – a rhythm-based game with great visuals.  Once you master you will be able to unlock a new game mode.
• Decorate your room and dress up in silly costumes with the items find across town.

Ultimately, Button City is an excellent game. There are plenty of lovable characters to interact with. The minigames are delightful, especially Gobabots. The main story will fill you with a range of emotions, and I’ve no doubt you’ll want to play through it multiple times. Lastly, it’s a game about games, and that’s something to be cherished.

The main narrative-wise, Button City is first-rate. It’s a charming throwback to cartoons of the ‘90s that kids and big kids will enjoy in equal measure. Both Gobabots and rEvolution Racer are also decent minigames in their own right as well, but there is an over-reliance on fetch quests in order to progress the story.
