The upcoming Black Panther video game could be open world after a job listing for the game is spotted. Read more below.
Last week, a new job listing on EA was spotted asking for a Senior Sandbox Designer II who will work for Cliffhanger Games, a new studio working on Marvel’s Black Panther.
Among other responsiblities, the job listing states the successful applicant will help and be “instrumental in designing and populating encounters, systems, and gameplay within a dynamic and evolving open world.”
Cliffhanger Games and EA have not revealed much about the upcoming single-player Marvel’s Black Panther, but the latest job posting has led some to conclude that the action-adventure project will be open-world after all.
We don’t have a release date for the game just yet, but it won’t be the only video game featuring the Wakanda hero, as we are also getting Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, which will feature Black Panther alongside Captain America. We expect to see that in 2025.
