Since the release of Battlefield 6, many players have voiced frustration over the game’s menus. One designer decided to take matters into his own hands—offering a completely redesigned user interface that’s getting rave reviews from the community.

Battlefield 6 Menu Overhaul: A UX Designer Reimagines the Interface Players Love to Hate

A UI That Divides the Battlefield Community

Fernando Leite, a UX and UI designer, listened closely to player feedback about Battlefield 6’s menus. According to him, the current interface relies too heavily on large visual cards that dominate the screen. This design forces players to scroll horizontally to access different game modes, resulting in a slower and less fluid navigation experience.

While this layout might feel natural on consoles—where gamepad navigation is common—it’s far less intuitive on PC. Mouse users, in particular, find the interface stiff, requiring too many movements and clicks to reach the main sections. Sentiment considered by many like a worse copy of Hulu’s.

Leite also compared Battlefield 6’s menu system to that of Call of Duty, which uses a similar card-based layout. In both cases, visual appeal seems to have taken priority over usability—leading to sleek menus that look great but don’t always feel great to use.

A Return to Simplicity

To address these issues, Leite redesigned Battlefield 6’s menus by taking inspiration from older titles like Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. Those games featured cleaner, more efficient interfaces that allowed quick access to all game content without excessive scrolling or nested menus.

His redesigned concept was created before the launch of Battlefield REDSEC, which explains its absence from the project. In this new vision, all game modes are displayed on a single page, eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling. The updated design emphasizes clarity, readability, and familiarity—striking a balance between modern aesthetics and intuitive navigation.

In Conclusion: A Community That Wants Change

It’s fascinating how sometimes, innovation simply means going back to basics. Across social media, players have praised Leite’s concept as a significant improvement over the current Battlefield 6 and REDSEC menus. The community sentiment is clear: simplicity and speed trump flashy visuals when it comes to user experience.
