If you find that Back 4 Blood is quite a challenging game for you, you are not alone. Turtle Rock Studios admitted that they might have made the game a little too difficult than they have planned, and they have a number of fixes to address issues.
The issues they cited include the high spawn rate of Ridden Mutations, trauma damage being dealt out too quickly, teaming up with speedrunners, and melee cards making abilities, weapons, cards or combinations too OP.
The team at Turtle Rock has since posted responses to the Ridden Mutations spawn rate and trauma damage issues through Reddit and Twitter respectively.
According to them, they are now working on a solution for the special Riddens after they have identified the true cause of the bug causing these to duplicate their spawn cards frequently.
As for trauma damage, they have quickly identified the issue and then deployed a patch server-side that should fix it.
Turtle Rock also shared their plans for Back 4 Blood in the coming months and next year in their content roadmap. Players can expect free updates and content that can be unlocked with the game’s Season Pass.
The free update includes offline solo mode that comes with campaign progression, new difficulty levels, a new co-op mode, new maps and map types, a seasonal holiday event, and more.
For November, the free update contains quality-of-life improvements as well as bug fixes.
Come December, there will be new features: Supply Line, Ridden Practice Area, and a Holiday Seasonal Event. It will also come with Solo Offline Mode with Campaign Progression, and New Card Type with All-New Cards.
Sometime in 2022, the game will receive a new Difficulty, new Player Cards, new Corruption Cards, a new Co-op Mode, melee updates, and quality-of-life improvements.
The game will also receive its first expansion, Tunnels of Terror in 2022 as part of its Annual Pass. It will bring all-new Cleaners, activity type, weapons, cards, and exclusive skins. The 2nd and 3rd expansions are also planned for release the same year.
You can purchase the Annual Pass separately, or if you own the Deluxe or Ultimate editions, you get it as part of the package.
