Avowed Skips Its Fall Update But Sets Sights on a Huge Anniversary Drop in Feb 2026
Avowed Fall update is now canceled. All features and content intended for it will now be released with the Anniversary update in Feb.
Obsidian Entertainment shared today that Avowed Fall update is no longer pushing through. Although this may have disappointed many fans, people can look forward to the Anniversary update which will be the game’s biggest update yet.
Avowed Fall Update Scrapped for Anniversary Update Next Year
Avowed officially launched on February 18, 2025 for PC and Xbox consoles. It has since then received 2 major updates, one in Spring and one in Summer. Considering the timeline, the game has received substantial new content and features in a short amount of time.
However, its intended Fall update, which was part of the initial roadmap, is no longer happening. According to an announcement today on the game’s Steam page, Obsidian will release the update intended for this season next year instead, as part of a massive Anniversary update.
Dubbed as its biggest yet, the Anniversary drop will include the promised New Game Plus, Photo Mode, and a new weapon type. On top of that, new features will also be included, although no specifics were revealed.
The Anniversary update will be launched in February, with the exact release date to be announced soon.
Avowed is available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.
