Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – Everything to Know to Become a Na’vi Warrior

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is finally here, the brand new experience that uses the massively popular Avatar cinematographic series by James Cameron. With the recent success of The Way of the Water, Frontiers of Pandora is set to offer more interesting content and lore of the Pandora planet and its place in the universe.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be available on 7 December on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, PC (Epic Game Store and Ubisoft Connect) and Amazon Luna.

What is Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

Avatar Frontiers, announced back in 2017, with Massive Entertainment claiming to be their first big title. Based on James Cameron’s massively popular Avatar series, one that just recently saw the sequel on 16 December 2022 and reignited the interest of many to learn more about the vast world of Pandora.

In this new Avatar game, the very first to try its own thing, we’ll play as a Na’vi, who was raised and trained by the RDA forces to become a soldier, but was later put into suspended animation for an indefinite amount of time. After being abruptly woken up in an abandoned facility. Here, in the Western Frontiers of Pandora, a never seen before area, we’ll try to reconnect with our kins as well as re-establish the link to our Planet. Ultimately defending it from the return of RDA forces.

The stunning visuals and immersive gameplay

Gameplay will be varied with lots of exploration parkouring through the dense jungle of Pandora, with interactions with our kins, as well as fighting section where we’ll fight off the RDA forces not with just our Na’vi equipment, like the iconic bow and arrow, but also as an ex- soldier of the RDA forces we’ve been trained in the usage of military weapons and combat style. Being able to defend our planets from RDA using their own methods.

Powered by the Dunia Engine, with confirmation of Ray Tracing in the form of Global Illumination, thus being able to reproduce and enhance the colorful vegetation of Pandora, and Ray Traced Reflections to offer a higher fidelity in visuals. Of course it’s not just Ray Tracing, as the team is proud of having been able to recreate the feeling and the visuals of the movie series, by reproducing the living and colorful environment of Pandora.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is definitely a current gen game, requiring modern hardware to run to have an enjoyable experience. But not top of the line hardware, with the recommended settings being the closest to the console equivalent and being able to use some of the Ray Tracing figures:
