Assetto Corsa EVO Reveals 1,600km2 Open-World Map

Assetto Corsa EVO developer Kunos has just revealed the game’s map. Coming in January 2025 in Early Access, Assetto Corsa EVO will look to build on the realism and features the AC series is known for, with the region of Eifel around the Nürburgring faithfully recreated, eventually covering 1,600km2.

Assetto Corsa EVO is an upcoming racing sim from Kunos, the developer behind the legendary and realistic racing series Assetto Corsa. Promising to “redefine” the genre and “raise the bar” of realism, Kunos has meticulously laser-scanned the Eifel region, offering a new way to experience the AC series.

The map will roll out in stages, eventually covering 1,600km2, featuring local businesses, landmarks, and car dealerships. Players can rent cars and purchase vehicle parts before hitting the iconic Nürburgring track to test their skills. Assetto Corsa EVO hits Early Access on January 16, 2025.

Eifel Region Recreated in Open-World Map

Although EVO will launch into Early Access on January 16, 2025, the open-world Eifel region will not come to the game until the summer. Once it launches, the map will then “progressively expand” until it reaches 1,600km2.

Developer Kunos has not revealed any more details other than local businesses will feature, so we don’t know if it will include traffic and pedestrians or if the game’s day and night cycle will feature. For the moment, we have to wait a little longer to learn more, with local businesses in the Eifel region encouraged to apply to be in the game.

Release Date and Features

Assetto Corsa EVO hits Early Access in January via Steam on PC. Kunos plans to release cars from different classes, including hypercars, race cars, and road cars, with each vehicle carefully reproduced.

Kunos hopes EVO will be the next standard in the realistic racing sim genre, and eager fans can pick it up when the game goes live on January 16, 2025.
