Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s patch 1.3.2 is out now, and while it brings much-needed improvements to the game, the most exciting part of it is the addition of support for the free Discovery Tour – Viking Age.

Downloading this patch will prepare the game for the Discovery Tour content, although there’s still less than a couple of weeks to go before its release.

What is Assassin’s Creed Discovery Tour?

Assassin’s Creed Discovery Tour is an educational experience for players where they are taken into a tour throughout history. In previous tours (Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt), players learn through audio-guided tours and exhibits which are curated by historians, professors, and experts. The tours cover a wide array of topics from religion, politics, philosophy, arts, and architecture, among others.

What is in Assassin’s Creed Discovery Tour: Viking Age?

Discovery Tour: Viking Age features the culture and traditions of Vikings and Anglo-Saxons during the Viking Age. It lets players assume the role of different characters as they take on quests instead of the usual guided tours from previous releases.

Discovery Tour has collaborated with different partners, including the Hampshire Cultural Trust (UK), Preston Park Museum & Grounds, York Archaeological Trust, and The British Library; France’s Réunion des Musées Nationaux; and the National Museum of Denmark.

Release Date and Available Platforms

Discovery Tour: Viking Age will be available as a free add-on for players who own Assassin’s Creed Valhalla starting October 19, 2021 (PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia).

It is also available as a standalone purchase for PC via the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. It will also be launched as a standalone purchase for PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna in early 2022.
