Ubisoft has confirmed Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, first announced in 2022, will launch by the end of March 2025 in a their third-quarter sales report for the fiscal year 2024..
In the report, Ubisoft states, “Moving forward, we’re gearing up for a very promising line-up for fiscal year 2025, including the upcoming release of Star Wars Outlaws in 2024… as well as Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, set in the long-awaited feudal Japan universe.”
Although Ubisoft fell short of giving an exact release date, the company promises that “the extent of the FY2024-25 line-up will be revealed in May and will notably include Assassin’s Creed codename Red and Star Wars Outlaws on the premium side and The Division Resurgence and Rainbow Six Mobile on the free-to-play side.”
Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec, the same team behind Odyssey. It is described by Ubisoft as the company’s next premium flagship title, with the game set in Feudal Japan. It will reportedly feature a larger open world than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla but a smaller map than Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
We won’t know anymore, including a release date, for Assassin’s Creed Codename Red until May, when Ubisoft reveals more about all their upcoming titles.
