Microsoft Flight Simulator Arrakis DLC

Dune comes to MFS in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator Arrakis DLC, which has been released in time for the upcoming Dune: Part Two, set to enter cinemas on March 1.

The Microsoft Flight Simulator Arrakis expansion adds the iconic Royal Atreides Ornithopter to the sim along with three tutorials, five time trials, and a rescue mission set during a sandstorm.

In a statement on the official Xbox website, the company describes the aircraft as “a special ultra-performance variant of the craft, renowned for its lightning acceleration, blazing speeds, and precision maneuverability when under the control of pilots skilled in its operation.”

Alongside the announcement, Microsoft revealed a special edition floating controller inspired by the Ornithopter, which you can win by following Xbox on X (Twitter). The giveaway ends on March 25 and you can read more about entering and eligibility on Xbox.

To celebrate the launch and upcoming film, Microsoft has also built two life-sized Ornithopter gaming simulators in Oxford Circus and the New York Microsoft Experience Center, letting those interested to go on a virtual Arrakis tour in style.
