A new game is set to take off and crash land in the service today with Aphelion, available for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Aphelion Launch Details
For all the space cadets out there, today we’re about to explore a new frozen planet as Aphelion officially launches in a few hours. The game will unlock on April 28, 2026 at 1AM PT / 4AM ET / 9AM GMT for Xbox and PC. Interestingly, it launches an hour later for Playstation 5.
While Playstation users may find that as getting the short end of the stick, it isn’t entirely so. Not at all actually for those who prefer physical releases. Aphelion is available digitally and physically, though the latter is reserved for PS5. This Pioneer Edition will release on July 2 and includes the full game in its Day-One Edition form, digital artbook, original soundtrack, and an exclusive ESA-designed sticker of the Hope-01 mission patch.
Both the physical and digital editions are still up for preorders. Players can enjoy a 10% discount until the game unlocks on console. As for Steam players, a 10% discount will be available for both Standard and Deluxe Edition (Day-One Edition) for the first two weeks from launch.
Aphelion Releases Day-One on Xbox Game Pass

While buying it now on Xbox gets players the Day-One Edition, Game Pass members will only get the standard game. No upgrade path is available as of writing.
