Ubisoft Mainz’s upcoming city-builder, Anno 117: Pax Romana, is already teasing an ambitious first year of post-launch content — and fans who purchased the Deluxe Edition with the Season Pass are in for a rich Roman experience.

A Grand Return to the Empire

Ubisoft Mainz is bringing the Anno franchise back in style with Anno 117: Pax Romana, transporting players to the heart of the Roman Empire. The narrative campaign will guide you through the life of a Roman governor, seen through the eyes of two protagonists.

Marcus, plagued by doubt after an unexpected promotion, seeks to define Roman citizenship and peace across the Empire. Meanwhile, Marcia challenges societal norms, rising mysteriously to power and giving players the chance to shape Rome’s destiny.

The campaign will unfold across two key provinces — Latium (modern-day Italy) and Albion (present-day England) — blending politics, economy, and empire-building in true Anno fashion. With the game Launching officially on November 13 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

 

Season Pass: Prophecies, Arenas, and Ancient Egypt

After completing the campaign, players can continue expanding their empire freely or dive into the Season Pass content — already detailed on Ubisoft’s official site. The first expansion, Prophecies of Ash, introduces a volcanic island off the coast of Latium. Its fertile lands promise wealth and growth, but the volcano’s wrath could undo it all. A new deity system will also let players pray for divine blessings — or perhaps provoke divine wrath.

Next, The Hippodrome expansion will focus on the spectacle of the Roman circus. Players will be able to design grand arenas, host chariot races, and attract influential cultural figures to elevate their cities’ prestige. Finally, Dawn of the Delta takes the empire southward, introducing Ancient Egypt — likely the most expansive DLC of the trio. Expect new mechanics, landscapes, and stories set along the Nile’s fertile banks.
