Dragon Ball FighterZ to Add Ultra Instinct Goku DLC Character

Dragon Ball FighterZ is getting a new DLC character, according to the newest issue of V-Jump. The upcoming character is another form of Goku, Ultra Instinct Goku. Details about the character will be revealed at the World Tour Finals in early February. There’s also a possibility that the arrival of Ultra Instinct Goku could kick off a whole new season with more characters coming in the future, since Season 2’s Fighter Pass already ended. We’ll know more about this in a few weeks.


Hunt: Showdown Getting Solo PvE Mode and PS4 Port

Crytek has shared its plans for Hunt: Showdown. First up, the game is all set for its release on the PlayStation 4. The PS4 port will be arriving February 18th. It will also be getting a physical release on the Xbox One the same day. The developer also promised in its announcement that they are releasing more content for the game, including “random teams of three, an advanced tutorial, new Legendary Hunters, and new equipment and weapons across the board.” These and more will be arriving with Update 1.2. Cross-play support, solo PvE, and more will also be added.


Marvel’s Iron Man VR Release Delayed

Developer Camouflaj took to Twitter to share unfortunate news on Marvel’s Iron Man VR. According to the developer, the game’s release will be delayed to May 15, 2020 “in order to deliver [their] mission and meet the high expectations of [their] community.” Iron Man VR will cast players as billionaire Tony Stark in a virtual reality adventure. Players will also be able to take on iconic supervillains and team up with allies, and the main battle will be against a hacker and activist named Ghost.


Left 4 Dead 3 Not in Development

Valve has confirmed that Left 4 Dead 3 is not being worked on. In a statement to IGN, Valve said, “We’ve seen rumors to this effect for the last couple of months,” Valve said. “We did briefly explore some Left 4 Dead next opportunities a few years ago. But we are absolutely not working on anything L4D related now, and haven’t for years.” This statement comes after HTC China president Alvin Wang Graylin listed “L4D3” as a sister project to Half-Life: Alyx in a presentation.


Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Mod Turns Goku Into Goose from Untitled Goose Game

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot now has mods, and as expected, one modder released something hilarious. One of the three mods on the Video Game Mods Kakarot website swaps Goku to the Goose from Untitled Goose Game. The game does not support custom animations for mods, so the goose just looks static, fighting Piccolo, spending tender moments with Gohan, and even fishing with Goku’s tail. There are two other mods, with one replacing Goku with CJ from GTA: San Andreas, while the other one is a Latin American translation of the game.


Twitch Hosts Super Bowl Fortnite Tournament

Twitch is taking part in Super Bowl weekend celebrations with a Twitch Rivals Fortnite tournament. The Twitch Rivals Streamer Bowl will include some of the biggest Fortnite streamers as they team up with NFL athletes. It will be streamed live via Twitch in Miami, the site of the Super Bowl LIV. The NFL athletes were chosen in a draft, with streamers picking which NFL player they want to partner with. A charity prize of 500,000 Dollars will be donated by Twitch to the winners’ chosen charity.


Kingpin: Life of Crime Remaster Announced

1999 FPS Kingpin: Life of Crime will be remastered and will be called Kingpin: Reloaded. The remastered version adds 4K and ultrawide support, plus players will be able to play it in either “classic” or “enhanced” mode. The enhanced mode comes with improved graphics and rebalanced gameplay. Developer 3D Realms doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but it plans to release the game this year on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.


Trails of Cold and Steel 3 Coming to PC

NIS America has announced that it is bringing Trails Of Cold Steel 3 to PC. Its full title is The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel III which originally released in September 2017 on PS4 for Japan and in the West on October 2019. A Nintendo Switch version is planned to be released later this year. The PC version will officially launch March 23, 2020, and will feature native 4K support, ultrawide support, uncapped framerate, and graphics options.


Valve to Replace Direct Invites with Ranking System for 2nd CS:GO Major

HLTV reports that Valve wants to introduce a ranking system for CS:GO Major instead of directly inviting teams. The ranking system will consist of points earned during the first Major ESL One Rio Major in May, plus two other events ahead of the second Major. The three tournaments will form the rankings, where the top eight teams will move to the second Major as Legends, while the other eight are Challengers. Valve will use the Minor system to complete the competition.


Ubisoft Explains Why Rainbow Six Siege Will Only Get 6 New Ops This Year

Ubisoft has confirmed an early leak that says Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 will only have six Operators instead of the usual eight. Ubisoft explained, saying the cutback on the number of Operators is to focus on features that will impact the game broadly. “The Year 5 Pass reflects this direction focused on features that benefit all players, not just those playing the newest operators. It will lead to additional content for all players, such as free events, extensive reworks, and other core gameplay features.”


10 Timed Exclusives Coming to Stadia in the Next Six Months

Google tells the press that Google Stadia will be receiving 10 timed exclusives in the next six months. The platform will also house at least 120 games in total in 2020. Google also said that if all goes to plan, it will launch Stadia’s free tier where players will get access to 1080pp cloud gaming. There’s no exact date for these at this time. First-party exclusives will also be added, with Stadia Games and Entertainment working on it.


Rainbow Six Siege DDoS Attackers Served With Lawsuit

Remember the DDoS attacks on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege? Ubisoft has taken action and filed a lawsuit against the owners of the website that is distributing the DDoS last Thursday in a California court. The defendants who are allegedly running the site called SNG.ONE are selling subscriptions for a lifetime access to the server. Ubisoft sited that the owners of the site “are well aware of the harm” of their services and are asking for the site to be shut down as well as awarded damages and fees.


Ubisoft Revamps their Editorial Team

Ubisoft has announced that they will be revamping their editorial team. The company’s editorial team is composed of designers and producers that are based in Paris and are being blamed that the company’s games are basically the same. Because of that, players had been underwhelmed by the big named games that had launched. A reorganization as well as an expansion will be done to the team. Each vice president will also be assigned to just one franchise to oversee so that each one will be unique.


“A Lot of Surprises” Expected from Detroit: Become Human Studio for 2020

Quantic Dream the studio behind Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human has a big year in store for their fans. David Cage founder of the studio announced in a tweet that the year will “have a lot of surprises to come for our fans” he also adds, “and in 2020 more than ever: be deviant!”. This could mean that there will be new games coming or perhaps they will be launching their first multiplatform game in 15 years.


Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Pass Announced

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has announced that they will be offering a new Fighter’s Pass which will come with 6 new characters. You won’t know who the characters are though until it is released. The creator of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Masahiro Sakurai has announced that all the six characters already been decided upon. He also apologized that players would have to pre-order the pass before knowing who the characters are. The new characters are promised to launch before December 31, 2021.


Unity of Command 2 Beta Patch Now Available

A new beta patch has been launched for Unity of Command 2 by developers Croteam and 2×2 Games. This is a new standalone scenario allowing players to play with Axis powers for the Battle of the Bulge. This Update 10 Test will be adding the “Wacht am Rhein” scenario to the game. Players will take command of the German forces in a specific scenario. This beta patch is now available for download on Steam by going to the Game Properties and clicking on the Betas tab, then selecting the beta branch.


Cyberpunk 2077 Gets a Demake Available on Dreams

Thanks to one fan, Cyberpunk 2077 received a demake. Bearly Regal, a YouTuber created a partial demake of the game in Dreams. For those of you who do not know, Dreams is the early access version of Media Molecule’s game builder for PS4. The demake is called Cyberpunk 1997 and the interface looks very 90s. The visuals are just right although it has higher fidelity than games at that time. Cyberpunk 1997 is set to release on Dreams on February 14. The real Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on April 15.


Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Partial Roadmap for 2020 Revealed

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne got a roadmap update for the first half of 2020 from Capcom. The roadmap includes the months of January through April. Most notable is that by April, the PC version of Icebrone will be fully synchronized with the console version of the game. By February, the PC version will get Rajang and the Volcanic Region. In March, the Stygian Zinogre, Safi’jiiva, and the Tundra Region. In April, both the PC and console versions will get two unannounced variant monsters.


Pokemon Sword and Shield is Top 1 Game on Famitsu Charts for 9 Weeks

Pokemon Sword and Shield has proven to be a very popular game. It has been in the number 1 spot for nine weeks in the Famitsu charts. Because of its nine weeks stay on the top spot, the game is now the longest title to have maintained that position on the sales chart. The previous record-holder was Pokemon Diamond and Pearl which was able to keep the top spot for eight weeks straight in 2006 during its release.


Google’s Chrome OS to have Valve’s Steam

Kan Liu, the OS Director of Product Management for Google Chrome OS said that Google is working to bring native Steam support to the Chrome OS devices. Allegedly, Valve is helping them with this feat. The aim is for Steam to run as a native app on the Chrome OS devices. No launch date has been given for this as of this moment. Also, Valve has not yet confirmed if they are really working on the project with Google.


Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Beta Testing Announced

The beta testing for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for PC has been announced by 343 Industries. This will be starting next month and those interested to be a part of it should get an invitation. There are no formal signups available for this, what is required is an up-to-date Halo Insider profile with a verified email, an opt-in for 343 to contact you, an opt-in for PC flighting as well as the latest DXDIAG of your set up uploaded to your profile. The “flighting” part will only be a limited run.


Stories Untold Out Now for the Nintendo Switch

Devolver Digital’s narrative-driven horror game, Stories Untold has launched on the Nintendo Switch. The game was first made available on the PC in 2017. The game is a horror title that is technology-centered and is also an 80’s inspired text adventure puzzle game. Stories Untold is developed by Jon McKellan. He is known for his work on Alien Isolation’s retro aesthetic.
