HARDCORE MECHA Available Now on PS4

RocketPunch Games’ 2D action platformer HARDCORE MECHA is out now on the PlayStation 4. The game’s Steam version, which launched in June 2019, has been widely praised by critics, and finally players on the PlayStation 4 can experience all the action the game brings. HARDCORE MECHA first became available on the PS4 in Japan, Korea, and South East Asia, so this also marks the first time it’s become available on PS4 in the West.


Doom Eternal’s Single-Player Campaign Highlighted in Latest Trailer

id Software has released a new trailer for Doom Eternal showing off its new single-player campaign. The trailer shows the game’s setting, which is Earth — or what’s left of it — in the year 2151. It then went to show the Gladiator and Marauder who are both sporting an updated look, plus of course, a lot of gory action. The Slayer’s new Crucible sword also got its screen time. Doom Eternal will be launching on March 20th, and will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Switch version following at a later date.


Frostpunk The Last Autumn Gameplay Showcased in 12-Minute Video

11 Bit Studios has released a new video for Frostpunk’s upcoming The Last Autumn DLC, featuring 12 minutes of gameplay. As the DLC’s name suggests, players will be brought back in time when the apocalyptic freeze has not happened yet. Players will be tasked to construct a generator tower in the wilderness which will then be used as a haven for those who will be evacuated. The Last Autumn features a cold, but green environment, new buildings, new resource tree, and redesigned economics. It will launch January 21st.


Xbox Confirms E3 2020 Attendance

Sony made news this week when it announced that it is skipping E3 this year, but that won’t be the case for Microsoft. Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed Xbox’s attendance on E3 2020 through a tweet. Spencer said the “team is hard at work on E3” and that they look forward to sharing “with all who love to play” what’s ahead of them. On Sony’s side, this will be the second consecutive year it is skipping E3.


Most-Downloaded Playstation Games in 2019 Revealed

Playstation has ranked 2019’s most-downloaded games on the Playstation Store. It did not include how many downloads each game got, though, but the list still looks quite interesting. Leading the pack is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which is 2019’s most-downloaded game on the Playstation Store. Still unstoppable is Rockstar’s GTA 5, sitting at number 2. Minecraft claims the third spot, followed by NBA 2K20 and NBA 2K19 in fourth and fifth places respectively. Beat Saber is the most downloaded PSVR game, while Apex Legends is the most-downloaded free-to-play game.


BioShock: The Collection Rumored for Switch

Website Lootpots has discovered BioShock: The Collection has been rated by the Taiwanese games rating board for the Nintendo Switch. The Collection, as well as the individual games within it (BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite), were also rated. This could also mean these will also be released separately. BioShock: The Collection was released on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One in 2016.


Resident Evil 3 Features Nemesis in New Trailer

Resident Evil 3 has released a new trailer showcasing Nemesis’ new look. The trailer shows just how powerful it is, thanks to some cutscenes and gameplay footage included. Capcom has confirmed that in Resident Evil 3, Nemesis will be able to hunt down Jill Valentine all across Raccoon City. Capcom worked on improving the Tyrant’s AI from Resident Evil 2 which now allows it to hunt down and kill STARS members. Resident Evil 3 will be launching April 3rd for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Frontier Pursuit Free Roam Happening in Red Dead Online This Week

Rockstar has announced the arrival of Frontier Pursuit Free Roam Events in Red Dead Online this week, along with other additions. Free Roam Events are available for those who have taken up the Bounty Hunter, Trader, or Collector Frontier Pursuits. 25% extra Character XP and Role XP are up for grabs for participating. Extra Role XPs are also available for players who complete specific Role activities. Madam Nazar is also out to give a reward for players who can complete her quest. Epic Games to Continue Giving Free Games This Year

Following its first full year of operation, Epic Games Store has shared some of its numbers for 2019. The report shows that the store has attracted 108 million customers in 2019, and those customers have collectively spent 680 million Dollars. 251 million Dollars from that total were spent on third-party games and DLC which also translates to the amount of money developers made. Some of the biggest earners in the store are: World War Z, Dauntless, Untitled Goose Game, and Borderlands 3.


OG Esports to Join ESL One Los Angeles Major Qualifiers

OG Esports, the defending champions of The International, are all set for he 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit. After sitting out the first two Majors, the organization is finally ready to start their season fresh at the ESL One Los Angeles Major qualifiers, after its official Twitter handle tweeted that they are playing in the qualifiers as mentioned. There’s no news whether the team will keep its original roster, or will debut a new one.


PUBG’s Motor Glider Flying Vehicle Available Now

PUBG Corp has finally launched PUBG’s first flying vehicle, the Motor Glider. The vehicle is available in the Erangle and Miramar maps, and has two seats: one for the pilot and another for the passenger. It will be spawned around the map with an empty gas tank, so players need to fuel up before takeoff. The Motor Glider can go as high as players want it to, but the engine will lose power the higher the altitude gets.


New Characters are Coming to Fire Emblem Heroes

Fire Emblem Heroes will be getting some new characters that are coming from its spin-off Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. The spin-off is actually launching on the 27th of this month for the Nintendo Switch. Four of the characters will be joining Fire Emblem Heroes for a Paralogue story that is called “A Star Is Born.” The characters that will be joining the game are Eleonora, Kiria, Mamori, and Tsubasa. They will be joining the game on January 19th at 11 pm PT.


Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Day One Patch will be 11GB in Size

The launch of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is almost here, and Bandai Namco has announced that a huge day one update will be arriving with it. The update will come in two patches which are 1.01 and 1.02. The two will actually improve loading times as well as add some quality of life improvements. It will also come with fast travel, adds sub stories, as well as other adjustments. The complete day one patch is 11GB in size, so a minimum of 36GB is needed with the game. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will launch on January 17.


Path of Exile to Recieve Four More Expansions this 2020

Grinding Gear, the developers of Path of Exile has announced their road map for 2020. It looks like they are going to have a busy year as they are planning four more expansions for the game along with the development of its sequel. The quarter schedule expansions will still be available throughout the year 2020 and these are the versions 3.10.0 through 3.13.0. Path of Exile 2 will be coming with the original campaign too, which might be the reason behind the continuation of its expansions.


The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters Launches This Month

The sequel of The Coma: Recut will be stepping out of Steam Early Access this month! The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is set to launch as a full game on January 28th. The game features Mina Park who is trying to get away from something that looks like her teacher. There will be different scenarios presented in the game, some of which can permanently damage Mina. She will be able to craft items and she must anticipate what is to come next in order to keep away from injury.


Arma 3 is Free to Play On Steam Until Sunday

If you haven’t played Arma 3 yet, then this is a great time to try it out. The game first launched in 2013 from Bohemia Interactive. The developers were able to provide steady support for the game and just recently was able to launch an expansion for it. Arma 3 is available to be tried out for free on Steam up until Sunday, January 19th at 10 AM PT or 1 PM ET. The free campaign will give players access to the PvP only multiplayer as well as some campaigns. All in all, this is about six hours of gameplay.


New PUBG Map Called Karakin Announced

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ fifth map has been announced and it is called Karakin. PUBG Corp was not able to provide much information for the new map as of now, but it looks like it is set in a desert that has one small village that is surrounded by some mountains. Some leaks came about from data miners who said that the map will be 2 by 2 and will come with a mechanic called ‘Black Zone’ which can destroy all buildings. The leak also hinted that the new map will be replacing the Vikendi map.


League of Legends New Patch Buffs Sona, Lulu, and Karma

Three League of Legends champions will be buffed with the upcoming Patch 10.2. Riot Games is targeting Sona, Lulu, and Karma for this patch. Sona will have an increase in her haste percentage for allies as well as her personal haste. Lulu will get minor improvements to her base stats and Karma will get an increase in damage for her Q ability as well as an increase in the damage on Focused Resolve. The Patch 10.2 will be launching on January 21st which is a Tuesday.


Matt “Coolmatt” Iorio is Retiring from Professional Overwatch

In eSports, Huston Outlaws’ Matt “Coolmatt” Iorio will be retiring from playing in the professional Overwatch League. We will still be seeing him around though, as he will be moving into a new role within the organization which is unknown yet at this time. Coolmatt had been a part of Huston Outlaws since 2017 and since then has been known as one of the best D.Va players in the Overwatch League. The third season of the Overwatch League will start of February 8th.


New Fallout 76 Update Available Now

A new update for Fallout 76 has been launched by Bethesda and it is Patch 1.2.7.2. The patch is about 1GB in size and it comes with fixes for graphics, performance, and stability. Some details about the patch include the corrected visuals when the Nuka Girl Helmet has been worn. It also corrects the visual issue affecting Camping Canopies. The issue where the server crashes when taking items from the Display Case had been fixed as well. The complete changelog can be seen in the game’s site.

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! is ready for its Early Access release! Players will get to manage their own food truck and travel across a war-torn America in order to be a part of the Iron Cook National Food Truck Championships. You will be assisted by your dependable robot crew named Whist and Cleaver. The game offers a story-driven campaign as well as a Zen Campaign. Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?! is set to launch in early access on January 29, 2020, on Steam and GOG for $14.99.


WoW: Battle of Azeroth Final Content Update Now Live

The final content update for the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth has finally arrived with Visions of N’Zoth. Players will finally be facing the last known Old God N’Zoth with the update. This expansion will also be adding a new raid set in N’Zoth’s domain of Ny’alotha, there will also be new Assaults on Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Players can also expect quality-of-life changes, new Allied Races and many more!
