Gears 5 Multiplayer Tech Test Details Announced

The Coalition has announced a multiplayer tech test for Gears 5 scheduled to go live on July 19th. The test will include three modes, including the new Arcade mode, and a “mini Tour of Duty” where players can unlock exclusive “Tester Weapon Skins” that carry over to the full game. The tech test will run on two consecutive weekends, from the 19th to 21st and 26th to 29th. To gain access, you’ll need to either preorder the game or have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.


The Void Mirror Prototype DLC for One Piece World Seeker Arriving Next Week

Bandai Namco has announced the release date for The Void Mirror Prototype DLC for One Piece World Seeker. The DLC arrives on July 12th for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and will add a brand new adventure featuring Roronoa Zoro. The three-sword-wielding pirate will have to face off against Kagero, a robot created by Isaac with the ability to learn the combat moves and styles of his opponents. Two more DLCs have been confirmed, with one featuring Sabo coming in the fall, and another featuring Law arriving this winter.


Preorder Pokemon-esque MMO TemTem to Gain Access to Alpha

Developer Crema has announced that those who pre-order Temtem will be allowed access to the game’s alpha. Temtem is a game that can be best described as Pokemon made by another developer and presented as an MMO. The alpha is by no means a complete game, but at this stage, the game’s creatures already have innate traits and can equip gear. You’ll be able to create your own tamer and customize him or her with different cosmetic items. If you’re interested in checking the alpha out, you can preorder the game from the Discord store.


Blue Protocol Gets First Trailer, Japan-Only Alpha Announced

Bandai Namco has finally released the first official trailer for its recently-announced online action role-playing game, Blue Protocol. The trailer showcases some of the game’s gorgeous locations and gives a peek at the game’s combat. It’s definitely looking like an MMO Tales game, which is understandable considering the team behind the new project comes from Bandai Namco Studios, developer of the Tales series. A closed alpha for the game is scheduled to be held on July 26th to 28th but it will only be available in Japan.


Official Modding Tools for Total War Three Kingdoms Released

Creative Assembly has finally released the official modding tools for Total War Three Kingdoms and a few hundred mods have already been uploaded to the Steam Workshop. The tools will feel familiar to those who have been modding since Rome 2 to more recent titles. A few changes were made, though, making it more data-driven and with added resources to allow modders to create 2D character artwork. There are also limitations in place, like campaign battle maps, audio files, game code, and battle assets cannot be modded.


Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 Coming to the West This Year

Bandai Namco announced during its Anime Expo panel that Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 is finally headed west. Gundam Battle Operation 2 takes the classic Battlefield formula, presents it as a 6-versus-6 third-person action game, and replaces foot soldiers with a rotating roster of different iconic Gundams and pilots. The game will be free-to-play and will arrive later this year for PlayStation 4. The game has been out for a while now in Japan and Asia so this is a highly-anticipated title for western fans of the franchise.


One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 Announced at Anime Expo

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 was announced by publisher Bandai Namco during this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles. Although most fans speculated that the series had ended with the third instalment, they were pleasantly surprised by the announcement. Pirate Warriors 4 will feature the “latest stories, characters and environments from the ONE PIECE anime, including Whole Cake Island.” The game will also retain its “Musou” flavour, pitting the show’s iconic characters against dozens of enemies at a time. No release date was announced.


New One Punch Man A Hero Nobody Knows Trailer Reveals More Characters

Bandai Namco showed off a new trailer for One Punch Man A Hero Nobody Knows during their panel at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles. The trailer revealed some of the other characters set to appear in the game such as baddies Mosquito Giri, Vaccine Man, Deepsea King, and Carnage Kabuto. Bandai Namco also revealed that players will be able to play as fan-favourite characters such as Genos, Mumen Rider, and Sonic. No release date was announced by the game will be releasing for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.


Bandai Namco Releases Code Vein Opening Anime Cutscene

After a long period of radio silence, Bandai Namco is once again ready to promote their Souls-like co-op action RPG, Code Vein. The publisher showed off the games opening anime cutscene which was produced by animation studio Ufotable. The cutscene features most of the previously revealed characters and gets pretty intense thanks to the rocking theme song and gorgeously-animated action scenes. Code Vein was supposed to launch last year but was unfortunately delayed and will no instead drop on September 27th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.


CD Projekt Red Shares New Details About Cyberpunk 2077 on Twitter

CD Projekt Red recently shared a couple of videos on Twitter where members of the development team revealed a few details about the game. The first features art director Kasia Redesiuk as she talks about the different fictional ads players will see scattered all over Night City. The second video shows level designer Miles Tost talking about the game’s character progression system, particularly about its weapon proficiency system. 2019 CWL Pro League Playoffs Teams Announced

The 2019 CWL Pro League’s regular season has concluded recently and the organizers have revealed the sixteen teams who made it to the playoffs. The teams will be divided into two divisions with four teams starting in the winners bracket and the other four working through the much more difficult losers bracket. Gears 5 Tech Test Arriving Soon

The developers of Gears 5, The Coalition, shared that their technical test will have two test periods. The first one will be on July 19 at 6 PM BST and will run up until the 22nd. The other one will be on July 26 at 6 PM BST and up to July 29th. This will be available for PC and Xbox One players. For Xbox One, you would need the Xbox Game Pass as well as the Xbox Live Gold subscription. Those who were able to pre-purchase the game, a pre-download is available on July 17th at 6 PM BST and it will be a total of 15 GigaBytes.


Nintendo Switch Online Subscribers Reached 10 Million

Nintendo Switch’s subscription called the Nintendo Switch Online is reported to have 10 million subscribers since its launch in September 2018. This subscription allows its subscribers to play many Switch games online. There are three payment schemes for this which are £3.49 a month or £6.99 for three months or £17.99 for 12 months. Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said that they would need to “further enrich” the subscription services in the future.


Destiny 2 New Moon Feels Like Mordor

Destiny 2’s new moon location has been shared by Bungie and it feels a lot like Morder. The moon location was actually from the first Destiny game and is now making a comeback. If you were able to watch the video, it would really remind you of Mordor with its dark and creepy places, gothic architecture, the many steps, and huge dark colored gates and so much more. As compared to Forsaken, this actually has a distinct look. Also announced is that the Season of Undying will be coming in September.


No Cross Overs to Happen This March for Final Fantasy 14 and 7 Remake

The Director of Final Fantasy 14, Naoki Yoshida, said that there won’t be a Shadowbringers and Final Fantasy 7 Remake happening in March 2020. Although he did say that “it would be amazing to have an opportunity” like that. He further explains that they would want Final Fantasy 7 Remake to be as polished as much as possible. Taking valuable manpower to create the cross over would be burdening right now and it will be unfair as well. This could possibly happen after the game’s launch.


Wargroove for PlayStation 4 Almost Ready

In the latest dev blog of Chucklefish, they were able to reveal that Wargroove for PlayStation 4 is nearing its release date. The game is already available for PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch ports since February of this year. Chucklefish said that the PS4 port is already in its final stages of CERT which is the platform holder’s approval system. The game will still have all the features available for the other versions except the cross-platform play. No release date was given as of yet.


Persona 5 Royal New Trailer Revealed

Persona 5 Royal has a new trailer and it features the character Ann Takam

aki. The video features how this latest version of the game gives more emphasis on its cast members. The all-new partner attacks can be seen which is between Ann and Morgana. You will get to see them in a flower field and ending brutally. Some social events have also been shared for Ann as well as other new scenes. Persona 5 Royal will be launching in Japan on October 31st and for the Western launch, it will be by 2020.


Removing PES 2019 from this Month’s PS Plus Lineup was Sony’s Decision

Konami has spoken about PES 2019 getting replaced by Detroit: Become Human on this month’s PS Plus lineup. The company said the decision came from Sony. It is not clear while Sony decided to change one of the games in the lineup. This month’s PS Plus lineup also includes Horizon Chase Turbo. These games are free for anyone who is subscribed to PS Plus on PlayStation 4.


Kill la Kill IF Demo Coming Next Week

A demo for the battle action game Kill la Kill – IF is going to be available starting July 8th. The demo will be running “indefinitely” on the PlayStation 4. The demo will give players access to the first chapter of the game’s Story Mode, as well as Versus Mode with Ryuko Matoi, Satsuki Kiryuin, Ira Gamagoori and Uzu Sanageyama. The game is slated for release on July 26th for PS4 and Switch, and July 25th for PC via Steam.


New PVE Content Coming to Black Desert Online

Black Desert Online is getting a new group PvE experience this week. Called Altar of Blood, this is a new defensive horde mode which is played by three players as a team. The team will need to defend the eponymous altar from powerful enemies. There will be ten rounds, and each round a new boss will spawn. Altar of Blood is available for level 56 players. Participants will be rewarded with ‘Forgotten One’s Legacy’ after each round which they can exchange for Gold Bars, Black Stones, Caphras Stones, and more.


They Are Billions Now Available on Xbox One

Real-time strategy game They Are Billions is now available on the Xbox One! The game will also be launching for the PlayStation 4 on July 9th. They Are Billions is set in the distant future where a zombie apocalypse destroyed almost all of mankind. Players must build and manage their own human colony, training and recruiting, and upgrading them. The game features a survival mode, pausing the game anytime, controller, keyboard, or support, and more.


A.O.T. 2 Final Battle is Out Now

A.O.T. 2: Final Battle, the video game spin-off of the worldwide anime phenomenon Attack on Titan, is out now! The game is available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. A.O.T. 2: Final Battle promises new gameplay modes, featuring the story of the anime’s third season. the game also offers players a huge array of equipment and weapons in order to help them fight against the Titans. Final Battle is available as an upgrade pack for those who already own A.O.T. 2, or as a standalone title.
