AUGUST 8 PART 1

Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. is the Full Game, All Progress Will Also Be Carried Over

Bethesda has revealed that the upcoming Fallout 76 BETA, or Break-it Early Test Application as they like to call it, will contain the full game. This means that any progress made during the beta will carry over to the full game when it launches. Also, the beta FAQ shows that there will be no non-disclosure agreement, so those participating in the beta are free to stream, post screenshots and discuss their experience with the game. The beta will happen this October while the full game is scheduled to launch on November 14th.


Fallout 76 Won’t Be Launching on Steam, Bethesda Confirms

Although it’s been speculated for quite a while now, Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 76 won’t be launching on Steam. Speaking to PC Gamer, Bethesda said that for the PC version of the game, both the beta and the launch will only be available from Bethesda.net. This is not the first time the publisher has done this too, as Quake Champions launched exclusively on their site before making its way to Steam. As to whether Fallout 76 will eventually be released on Steam, only time will tell.


Final Fantasy 14 Summer Moonfire Faire Event Returns

Final Fantasy 14 is also ready for summer, as the Summer Moonfire Faire Event is returning next week! The event starts August 13th and gives players the chance to earn exclusive summer-themed items by completing quests. The event will run until August 26th. Players who missed previous Moonfire Faire items will also have the chance to get them this time. Square Enix is yet to confirm which of the old items they will add this year. Final Fantasy 14 is available on Playstation 4 and PC.


Age of Empires Mod Brings Lord of the Rings to the Game

A new mod for Age of Empires will transform the game into the Lord of the Rings. The mod is called Tales of Middle Earth and right now it isn’t one hundred percent complete yet even though it has been in development for six years. Even though that is the case, an almost final build is available to download and play. The mod will include 18 realms that include elves, men of the west, Southrons, Easterlings and so much more. It also includes a hundred new units and over a hundred new building graphics.


QuakeCon 2018 Games Announced

Bethesda Softworks has announced what attendees can expect in this year’s QuakeCon which is set to happen from August 9th and will run until the 12th. The event will feature several panels and tournaments, most of which will be streamed via Twitch. The event starts off with The Elder Scrolls: Legends Masters Series qualifiers on August 9th. The main event is the Quake Champions tournament happening Friday and continues until Sunday. Doom Eternal will also be revealing its first gameplay demo during the event.


Customizable Battle Bus May Be Coming to Fortnite

Some new Fortnite leaks had been brought to light and it may include the ability to customize battle buses, characters, hats and so much more. The leaks had been shared via Twitter and it shows a Fortnite code that indicates a new option that will allow players to “favorite” a list of in-game features. The list includes map markers, vehicles, backpacks, dances, calling cards, consumable emotes, gliders, loading screens, sprays, vehicle decorations, victory poses, skydive contrails, and pickaxes.


New Winston and Ana Skins Introduced

Two more Overwatch heroes are getting summer-themed skins! Previously, Blizzard has revealed D.va’s and Reinhardt’s skins, and this time it’s Winston and Ana. Winston will be sporting a padded Legendary skin called “Padded Winston” which makes him look all locked and loaded for the summer games. Ana gets her own skin, too, and this time she’s sporting a vacation looked aptly called “Cabana Ana.” The Overwatch Summer Games Will begin August 9th.


Dragon Ball FighterZ Has Highest Views on Evo 2018’s Twitch Stream

During EVO, the highest watched game on Twitch has been Dragon Ball FighterZ. The viewship rose even more during the finals last Sunday reaching up to two hundred fifty-seven thousand concurrent viewers. Dragon Ball FighterZ was able to reach the top spot on Twitch, even surpassing the very popular Fortnite. Along with this announcement is the news that Bandai Namco is adding Cooler from Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge which will drop on August 8 along with the Base Gaoku and Base Vegeta DLC.


Fortnite Gets a Durr Burger Skin

Dataminers have discovered a host of new skins and items are coming to Fortnite. One of them is the Durr Burger which was previously seen in the middle of the desert in real life. It looks like the Durr Burger skin will also come with pickaxes, gliders, and back blings. Aside from this, the dataminers also found male skins named “Celestial,” and “SushiChef” as well as a female skin named “FuzzyBearPanda.” The dataminers dug these out of the game’s Android port.


Rainbow Six Siege Hereford Rework Teased

The Rainbow Six Siege year 3 and season 3 is almost here and teasers are being made available. The very first teaser is not much but it looks like the Hereford Base redesign. The Hereford redesign was talked about by Ubisoft for a long time now and one thing that was mentioned is that they plan to set it in a different time period. The plans were more of a rebalance but it looks like a full-on remake is to be expected. We will know more about this in the coming days as was announced by Ubisoft via Twitter.


Double Barrel Shotgun Included in Fortnite’s Next Patch

Fortnite’s next patch is set to bring new weapons to the game, as revealed by a data leak. The weapons discovered were two new sniper rifle types, and the Double Barrel Shotgun. The Double Barrel Shotgun has been confirmed to be coming alongside Patch 5.20. This weapon has already been in use in Fortnite Save The World, and the upcoming patch will add it to the Battle Royale mode.

Monster Hunter World May Get PC Mods

Monster Hunter World PC players can hold on to their hope of getting mod support for the game. Just a few days before Monster Hunter World’s release on PC, Capcom has added a Workshop tab on the game’s Steam page. Steam Workshop is where mods can be downloaded for games that support them. As of this report, it looks like only players who own Monster Hunter World can see the Workshop tab on Steam. At this time, this is merely a speculation, and we’re waiting for Capcom to issue a comment.


Prey’s Mooncrash DLC Includes Free Skins From Fallout and Quake Champions

Prey’s Mooncrash DLC has received a new update. The update is cosmetic-focused, meaning players will get a handful of items to deck themselves with. A couple of those items stand out, especially since they are a cross-over from two other Bethesda games: Quake Champions and Fallout. The items are specifically for Operators. The other items included in the update are: Witch Hat Mimic, Medieval Mimic, TranStar Silenced Pistol, TranStar Q-Beam, TranStar Shotgun, and TranStar Wrench.


Destiny 2 Forsaken Outlines Weapon Customization Changes

Bungie has revealed details on weapon customization once Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion launches. First of all, all weapons will now have Masterwork levels which will be up to Tier 10. The weapon’s Masterwork stat goes up 1 tier each time the level is raised. Players who want to reach tier 10 would have to shell out Legendary Shards and Masterwork Cores. At tier 10, players can choose between PvE kill tracking with a perk node and Crucible. Destiny 2’s Forsaken DLC launches September 4th on PC and consoles.


Popular Overwatch Pro Retires

Popular Overwatch League star Brandon “Seagull” Larned has announced his retirement from the Overwatch pro scene, just after a season. He played off-tank and DPS for the Dallas Fuels. He made the announcement via Twitter, saying he’s no longer a professional Overwatch player, and he will instead focus on full-time streaming. Owner and CE of Envy Gaming Mike Rufail has said in a statement that they have nothing but love for Larned, and that he left them in good terms and they support his decision.


New Fortnite Limited-Time Mode Announced

Fortnite’s latest update has rolled out and with it comes a new limited-time event – Steady Storm. This mode features one storm that closes in continually on an island throughout the entire match. There are no safe zones unlike in a typical battle royale game. This will require players to be on the move and at the same time keep an eye out at the storm on the map so they can survive. More details on this limited-time event are available in the Fortnite website.


PUBG’s Patch 19 Has Rolled Out

PUBG’s Patch 19 has launched, but not with one of its most important features: the ping marker. PUBG Corp decided to remove the feature due to streamers’ backlash. Patch 19, according to PUBG Corp is the first step in the company’s recommitment to improving the game’s quality of life, fixing bugs, and making the game the best it can be. Aside from the removal of the ping marker, the patch includes a few fixes on its limb penetration feature, and performance improvements for CPU and GPU tasks.


Call of Duty Black Ops 4 PC Beta System Requirements Revealed

Just a few days before the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 beta starts, Activision has revealed the PC system requirements for the game – for the beta, at least. At minimum, players will need an Intel Core i5 2500k, or an AMD equivalent, as well as 8GB of RAM. The game also requires 25GB of hard drive space. A GTX 660 2 GB or GTX 1050 2GB (or AMD Radeon HD 7850) GPU is also required at minimum. Treyarch went to clarify that this applies to the beta only, which starts August 11th.


Rainbow Six Siege Operation Grim Sky Revealed

Ubisoft has revealed details on year 3, season 3 of Rainbow Six Siege, also known as Operation Grim Sky. This Operation will bring 2 new operators as well as a rework for Hereford Base. The Operators are still unnamed at this time, but reports say one of them is a female British defender who has a shield, and the other is a male American attacker known for his legendary surgical precision. A full reveal on Operation Grim Sky will be held during the Six Major in Paris which runs August 17th until the 19th.


Hearthstone’s Boomsday Project Expansion Out Now

Hearthstone’s The Boomsday Project expansion is out now! This is the second one out of the three new expansions for Hearthstone which are coming out this year. In case you didn’t know, this expansion adds 135 new cards to the game. This set includes Legendary Spells for the first time. Before, it was Legendary Minions, but with The Boomsday Project, Spells come now in cards in highest power level and rarity. This also focuses on Magnetic, which lets players combine Mech minions.


Valkyria Chronicles 4 Demo Not Planned for PC

Here’s a chance for you to test Valkyria Chronicles 4! A demo for the game is now available, however, PC players can’t jump in on the fun as it’s only available for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. A report by Rock, paper, Shotgun said that a representative for Sega has told them that a demo for PC is not planned at this time. The free demo lets players get a glimpse of the game’s prologue up until the second chapter. Any progress in the demo can be carried over to the full game which releases September 25th.


H1Z1 Arrives on the PS4

Daybreak has officially launched H1Z1 on the Playstation 4 after its beta run. The test run threw in game elements such as Arcade Mode and EMP grenades. The game’s official PS4 launch now includes a Battle Pass that unlocks premium rewards. The Battle Pass also allows players to buy launch bundles that contain cosmetic gear. New weapons and vehicles are also included in its PS4 release.
