OCTOBER 6 PART 1

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Collector’s Edition

Bandai Namco announces the Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Collector’s Edition for Europe and it is called the Strangereal Edition. This will include the season pass which has three planes, three missions, and a music player mode. It will also come with an exclusive diecast metal figurine of the Arsenal Bird and an A4-format artbook with 150 pages, a metal pin, and two embroidered patches that have the crests of Erusea and Osea. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown launches on January 18th for consoles and February 1st on PC.


FIFA 19 eSports Tournament Kicks Off January 2019

EA is partnering up with the Premier League in the UK in order to create the ePremier League Tournament which is also known as ePL. This will start in January 2019. This will consist of three rounds – January 2019 is the online qualification, February 2019 up until early March is the live club playoffs and March 28th and the 29th is the ePL Finals. All 20 of the clubs in the Premier League will be represented in both the PS4 and Xbox One tournaments. ePL is planned to go on yearly from the 2019 debut.


City-Builder “The Architect: Paris” to be Published by Focus Home Interactive

Focus Home Interactive has partnered up with Enodo Games for a new city building and management sim called “The Architect: Paris”. The game features the same established systems from titles like Cities Skylines and SimCity, but the pull is that you’ll be able to manage and customize every single building in your version of Paris. Focus Home Interactive production director Luc Heninger believes the game fits their catalogue nicely since its set to push the boundaries of its genre.


Mutant: Year Zero: Road to Eden Gets New Tactical Gameplay

The Bearded Ladies Consulting and Funcom released a 20-minute tactical gameplay video for their upcoming game Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. The video features a commentary from the Lead Designer of the game Lee Varley and Producer Mark Parker. It shows the lead characters Selma, Bormin, and Dux going to the House of Bones and clearing the group of ghouls that are on a boat as they come across their path in the river. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden launches on December 4th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.


Bless Online Leaving Early Access on October 23rd

Neowiz Bless Studio has announced that the highly-anticipated MMORPG, Bless Online, will be leaving Early Access on October 23rd and will be switching to a free-to-play model. Early adopters of the game will be receiving unique rewards depending on the version of the game that they purchased. These include premium membership ranging from 90 days to lifetime, and exclusive costume skins. Also, returning Early Access players will receive special weapon skins within a specific period after launch.


Limit Theory Canceled after Over 6 Years in Development

Almost six years after his successful Kickstarter campaign, developer Josh Parnell has thrown in the towel and announced that he is ceasing development of Limit Theory. The game was supposed to be a space exploration sandbox with RPG and RTS mechanics and an emphasis on procedural generation. Parnell says that he has exhausted the funds generated by the campaign, drained his own personal savings, and is severely fatigued, physically, mentally and emotionally, because of the extended development period.


Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom Delayed Again, Will Release in December

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom has suffered another delay as FDG Entertainment announced that difficulties with the physical version’s production have prevented them from meeting the already re-scheduled November release date. FDG says they would rather delay the launch than release an incomplete product. Although they are pointing to problems with the production of the physical version, they’ve opted to also delay the digital version, both of which will now launch, hopefully, on December 4th.


Beat Hazard 2 Now on Early Access

The sequel to Beat Hazard has released on Steam Early Access! Beat Hazard 2 is now available for $18.99 via the Steam Early Access. The game was originally set for Q1 2019. With the early release, the developers, Cold Beam Games are pushing for the game to have a full release for Q2 2019. The sequel will be pushing the boundaries of the music being played in the game. Premium music services are now being supported like Spotify, Amazon Music or even a recorded singing via the games ‘Open Mic’ system.


New Guinness World Record Set by Warriors Orochi 4

Warriors Orochi 4 has just been recognized by Guinness World Records for having the most number of playable characters in a hack-and-slash videogame. The upcoming title will be packing one hundred and seventy playable characters from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors universes. The certificate was received by the game’s producer, Masaki Furusawa, during a press event held in Japan. Warriors Orochi 4 is set to launch on October 16th on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.


Elderborn Heads to Steam Early Access Next Week

Get to relive the classic FPP genre with Elderborn coming to Steam Early Access on October 11th. Play as a tough as nails warrior and fight your way through a dungeon that is filled to the brim with corruption and evil. There are deadly traps and cruel monsters in this ancient dungeon ruins, so you better watch out as nobody is there to hold your hand throughout the game. Death is ever so omnipresent, slash your way through and at the same time watch your back as well.

Shadow of theTomb Raider “TheForge” DLC Arrives Next Month

Square Enix has announced The Forge, the first out of seven expansions coming to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The DLC is set to be released November 13th and will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The Forge is the first bit of co-op gameplay for the game. It is different from Rise of the Tomb Raider’s Endurance mode. Square Enix is yet to give out details on the new expansion, and we can expect to learn more in the next few weeks and days before its release.


Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4-Exclusive Content Revealed

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be getting time-limited content, and now we’ve learned what items will be included in its PS4-exclusive content. The items are a horse, an outfit, a gun, and a saddle. Not all of these will be available at launch, though, as these items are split between the game’s single-player mode and Red Dead. The Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit will be available in single-player, while the rest is for Red Dead Online. All these will also come a month later to other platforms.


Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far Lets You Play Almost Every Game in the Series

Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far, a compilation of almost all the games in the Kingdom Hearts series. This compilation is perfect for series newcomers as it will let you experience Sora’s adventures. The Story So Far does not contain the browser and mobile game Kingdom Hearts X, though. Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far launches October 30th for the PlayStation 4.


Gwent’s Homecoming is Playable This Weekend

CD Projekt Red has announced that they are doing some tests for the overhauled GWENT Homecoming, and they’re inviting testers in the PTR. The PTS will be open from October 5th until October 9th, which means you have all weekend to play this. It is free for everyone, too. You can get a hold of the game through the GOG Galaxy client. The weekend test will give you access to Casual mode, the Deck Builder, and the entire Gwent card collection.


No Man’s Sky Adds Motorbikes in New Update

A new update for No Man’s Sky has been released by Hello Games, and it introduces a new vehicle – the Pilgrim! The Pilgrim is some sort of a motorbike that is described as fast-moving and sports a retro-futuristic look. Players who want to get one of these will need to purchase its Geoplay blueprint from the Blueprint Analyser. The update also comes with a bunch of technologies to tweak your vehicles as well as a variety of new upgrades, and some bug fixes.


Descent: Underground is Back With a New Title

Descent Underground has been reimagined and is back with a new name! The game is now called Descent, and it will be launching a beta phase in November where players who own the Early Access version will get free access to. They will also receive the game’s official retail version once it launches in 2019 as a free upgrade. We should expect to get concrete details on the beta schedule within the next few weeks leading to the beta.


Dynasty Warriors 9 Adds Multiplayer Modes

Koei Tecmo announced that a new update will be available for Dynasty Warriors 9! The update includes a new multiplayer option so that you can have friends play with you in the battles. We can expect the patch to be available anytime this month and it will get both an online and local split-screen mode so that there could be co-op between two players. More content can be expected like additional scenarios, costumes and weapons and more. Dynasty Warriors 9 is already available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.


Destiny 2 Gets Two Big Updates

Two updates will be coming to Destiny 2 this month, and Bungie shared a few details on what these updates will include. First is the Halloween festival called Festival of the Lost which is set to begin October 16th. Bungie says it will include a costume party as well as a quest to solve a murder. Arriving also the same day as Festival of the Lost is update 2.0.4 which brings some changes. Update 2.0.5 arrives later this month.


Black Ops 4 Pre-loading Starts October 9th

Those who pre-ordered the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for PC can start pre-loading the game by October 9th as announced by Treyarch. This gives plenty of time for the customers as the game will launch on October 12th. Also, it was revealed that the battle royale mode, Blackout will be capped at 120fps upon its launch because they would want to “roll things out carefully”. Once it is stable the cap will be raised to 144fps. Other modes like the Zombies and multiplayer will be un-capped starting day one.


Motorbike Action Racing Game “Steel Rats” Release Date Revealed

Tate’s newest combat racer called Steel Rats is set to launch on November 7th. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For those purchasing the game through the PlayStation Store, members of the PlayStation Plus will get 15% off on the Deluxe Edition. Steel Rats is a side-scrolling game that features four characters with custom bikes that can be upgraded. The four heroes will be fighting off a robot invasion in a retro-futuristic setting. Pull off stunts, race and fight enemies!


Dead or Alive 6 Announces 3 New Characters

Three characters are returning to Dead or Alive 6! The first ones are the father and daughter Wrestling champs Tina and Bass Armstrong. This tag duo has been in the game since its first iteration. Up next is MMA fighter Mila who made her debut in Dead or Alive 5. A new trailer shows all three characters in action which comes with over-the-top explosive stages as well as a wrestling ring. Dead or Alive 6 is set to arrive February 15th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
