Warcraft 3 Reforged Announced
Warcraft 3: Reforged has been announced and it is the remake of the original Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne. The game has been rebuilt from the ground up with a visual overhaul, additional contemporary social and matchmaking features as well as a promise of support from the community creators. Pre-purchases of the game are now available with the standard edition at $29.99 and the Spoils of War Edition at $39.99. Warcraft 3: Reforged will be available by next year, 2019.
Invictus Gaming Wins League of Legends World Championship
The League of Legends World Championship winners are Chinese team Invictus Gaming. They were able to beat out the European team Fnatic with a 3-0 score during the finals. During the semi-finals, both teams were able to get an amazing score of 3-0 versus their opponents. This finals weekend in Incheon, South Korea Invictus was able to dominate the best out of five matches with Fnatic, getting a 1-0 up in just 26 minutes. The fight had been neck and neck but Invictus still came out as the victors.
Classic Platformer Jill of the Jungle Free in GOG
The 1992 platforming cult classic Jill of the Jungle trilogy is currently free on GOG. It was designed by Tim Sweeney, who is now the CEO of Epic Games. The trilogy includes the games Jill of the Jungle, Jill Goes Underground, and Jill Saves the Prince. GOG did not say until when these games will be free. The game features the protagonist Jill as she swings, jumps, and kicks her way in levels with a jungle theme. She can also transform into different animals like a flaming bird, or bullet-shooting fish.
Rust Reaches All-Time High Player Count After Hot Air Balloon Update
Rust recently released the hot air balloon update and with it came a rise of the concurrent player count, even reaching an all-time high of 71,000 players which is a first for the game. The new update introduced hot air balloons as well as some surface-to-air missiles that are able to shoot the air balloons down. This seems to be popular amongst players as it was able to boost the game to Steam’s concurrent player count’s fifth place. The other top four are Dota 2, CS: GO, PUBG and Rainbow Six Siege.
Little Dragons Cafe Heads to PC This Month
Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada’s new game Little Dragons Café will be heading to PC! The game is set to be released on November 15th. Little Dragons Café lets players run a café and at the same time farm, explore, and even take care of a dragon. The protagonists are twins, who are left with the task of taking care of their cafe after their mother falls ill. Apparently raising a dragon will cure her. The game first released on Switch and PlayStation 4 back in August.
A Non-Korean Player Wins at StarCraft 2 for the First Time Ever
For the very first time in history, a non-Korean winner was able to get the biggest prize in StarCraft 2’s World Championship Series. Joona “Serral” Sotala, a Finnish Zerg player, was able to reach the WCS Global Finals without being beaten during the tournament’s opening week. He then beats Kim “Stats” Dae Yeob of Protoss with a score of 4-2 during the finals. He was able to take the lead at the best-of-seven series having a score of 3-0 and was able to secure his victory with the sixth game.
Fortnite Gets a New Powerful Assault Rifle
Epic Games is adding a new weapon in Fortnite! The weapon is a Kalashnikov-styled Heavy Assault Rifle, and Epic says it is “most useful when fired in short bursts”. The gun is described as a “powerful assault rifle” and will be coming to the game soon. We will soon get more details as the release date for this new weapon draws near. Fortnite has recently concluded its Halloween event Fortnitemares, show we should expect this to come in a new update.
Fallout 76 Beta Already Gettings Mods
Remember Bethesda’s statement where they said that they are “100 percent committed” to mod support for Fallout 76 however it will be sometime after the game’s launch? Well, not everyone is willing to wait as mods for the beta started appearing on Nexus Mods. There had been a total of 13 mods some could change your hair color to anything that you like or change the color of your vault jumpsuit. Some could change the images in the menus as well as replace the audio with custom music.
Into the Breach Now Includes Full Controller Support
Subset Games rolled out a surprise update for its strategy game Into the Breach. The update adds full controller support to the game, and while it is but a small update, it is an important one. This means the game will now work with any controller that Steam supports. Players would only need to plug the controller in, and they’re good to go.
New Anthem Details Revealed in New Gameplay Video
BioWare shared a 45-minute gameplay for their upcoming game Anthem which was able to reveal some new details about the game. There will be four players available and each one will be able to create stories of their own, meaning that no two journeys will be the same. Players will have Javelin exosuits that can be personalized having unique paint jobs as well as different gear. A demo will be made available by February 1st, 2019 and will be available to those who pre-ordered the game only.
GTA 5 Tops NPD Dollar Sales Ranking for Xbox One and PS4
GTA 5 is still number one in sales. This is evidenced by a report from the NPD Group which shows the game on the number one spot of Top 10 games on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One based on dollar sales. The numbers include both physical and full game digital sales. It is worth noting that the NPD Group based the data going up to October 6th only, so this doesn’t include figures from Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty Black Ops 4.

Diablo 4 Originally Planned to be Announced at BlizzCon
Blizzard is currently in the midst of fan backlash due to its recent announcement of Diablo Immortal during this year’s BlizzCon. However, an insider from Blizzard has revealed that the company originally planned to announce Diablo 4 during the event, but decided not to. The original plan was to announce Diablo Immortal, and then close with a teaser for Diablo 4. Sources say Blizzard decided not to push through with the announcement 2 weeks before the event simply because the Diablo team is not yet ready to commit to an official announcement.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Camp Glith Gets Fix Soon
Rockstar Games is currently working on a glitch in Red Dead Redemption 2. The glitch is causing companions in the game to disappear from camp in the early chapters of the main story. The affected companions are Sadie Adler, Jack Marston, John Marston, and Abigail Roberts, and the weird thing is they disappear from camp for an unknown reason. Rockstar later said it is caused by using the Retry Checkpoint feature during Chapter 2’s Polite Society, Valentine Style mission. The fix will be included in a future patch.
New Overwatch Hero Ashe Now on the PTR
Overwatch’s newest hero, Ashe is now live on the Overwatch PTR! Game director ZJeff Kaplan officially introduced her in a new developer update. Ashe wields a semi-automatic rifle and can also chuck a dynamite and shot it mid-air. She also has a knockback ability as well as a sidekick named Bob which she can summon. Kaplan shared that Bob can help prevent enemies from pushing the payload, and can also be nano boosted if you have Ana in your team. His appearance changes according to Ashe’s skin.
Fallout 76 Beta Gets 30 GB Update
Fallout 76 is set to have its final BETA run soon, and those who wish to take part should get ready as a massive 30GB update will be downloaded by the game before players can hop on the BETA. As this is a massive download, it looks like there is a huge overhaul for the game. The next beta is set to run from 1:00 pm EST until 3:00 pm EST, November 6th. Players can login now to get the update.
Hearthstone Reaches 100 Million PRegistered Players
Just over 5 years after its launch, Blizzard’s Hearthstone has reached 100 million registered players, the company reports through a press release. The competitive card game has reached over 10 million registered players in less than a month after it released on PC. The game also later released for mobile. In celebration of this milestone, Blizzard is giving away “free card packs and an in-game event which will run from November 7 at 10:00 am PST through November 11.”
Fortnite Gets NFL Skins
Fortnite is getting some football fever as NFL skins are heading to the game! These NFL skins are based on real-life NFL jerseys, so if you’re a football fan, this is time to don your favorite team’s colors! The uniforms of all 32 NFL teams are up for grabs! These will be available for purchase at the Fortnite in-game store starting November 9th, although Epic Games is yet to announce prices for these skins.
The Forest Has Sold Over 5 Million Copies
Endnight Games’ survival game The Forest has sold over 5.3 million copies! The game launched four years ago, and this milestone comes ahead of the game’s upcoming launch in the PlayStation 4 this week. It first released on Steam Early Access in 2014, and then officially launched its version 1.0 back in April of this year. It also released a VR version shortly after. The game was created with an initial budget of 125,000 Dollars.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Still On Top of the UK Charts for Second Consecutive Week
Red Dead Redemption 2 is still sitting on top of the UK Sales Charts for the second consecutive week! It is followed by Activision’s Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and EA’s FIFA 19 in second and third place. Spider-Man PS4 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey are also still in the top 5. The recently released Football Manager 2019 also emerged in the sales charts and is in the 9th spot. This ranking is for the week ending November 3rd.
Battlefield 5 Pre-Load Details Revealed
Get yourselves ready for Battlefield 5 as the game will be officially launching on November 20th! Deluxe Edition players will play starting November 15th, but for EA/Origin Access players, you’ll get to play the trial as early as November 9th. For PC players, preloading starts November 7th at 1pm GMT, regardless of what version you have. Pre-loading on the Xbox One is available now. PS4 players in Europe can preload November 13th at 12am local time for Deluxe Edition, and November 18th at 12am local time for Standard Edition.
Overwatch Has Six More Heroes Planned
Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan has revealed in an interview that they are working on more heroes for Overwatch. This comes after the game’s latest hero Ashe was introduced. According to Kaplan, they are working on adding six more heroes in the game’s roster, and Echo is one of them. Six heroes is a huge undertaking, so Kaplan was quick to say that it will take them years before they all get released. Kaplan also added in the interview that the game won’t be going free-to-play at this time.
Path of Exile Heads to Playstation 4 This December
Grinding Gear Games announced that it will be bringing its action RPG Path of Exile to the PlayStation 4! The game will be launching on Sony’s console on December 7th, and it comes with the 3.5.0 expansion that was previously announced for its PC and Xbox One versions. Sadly, there won’t be any cross-play features coming at launch.
