First 2 Chapters of Black Mesa’s Xen Now Available

Xen and Gonarch, the first two chapters in Black Mesa: Xen, are now available in the public beta branch. Xen and Gonarch contain nine levels, tripling the first three levels that were previously launched. The other chapters will be added at a later date, where players can test all 18 levels of the expansion. The developers warn that there are some known issues though, and you can find them all listed in the game’s Steam page.


Hitman 2 Gets an Unlockable Briefcase Gadget

IO Interactive is adding the ICA Executive Briefcase MKII as an unlockable gadget in Hitman 2. This is after a bug in the game caused all briefcases to fly through like a drone and knock out any character in any corner. The bug has since been fixed, but the developers didn’t want to spoil the fun so they opted to have just one briefcase do this and made it an unlockable gadget. It will be available starting August 8th for anyone who completes the Best Case Scenario Challenge Pack.


Path of Titans to Launch February 2020

The release date for Alderon Games’ dinosaur survival MMO Path of Titans has been announced. The game will be available on PC starting February 2020. A pre-release access will be available in December 2019. Path of Titans will let players play as dinosaurs as they explore the game’s rich environment. The game features complex AI features and its servers can handle up to 200 players each. Players can also customize their dinos according to their play style.


Devil’s Hunt Launch Date Announced

1C Entertainment’s third-person action game Devil’s Hunt will be launching on September 17th and will be available on Steam. the game’s developer, Layopi Games , announced that they are delaying the game’s release on consoles to make sure the PC version is polished. 1C is yet to announce the game’s official system requirements.


Pass the Punch Heading to PC Later This Year

Sumo Digital is launching its 2D beat-em-up Pass the Punch later this year. Players will play either as Rush, Claud, Beetle or Wizard in an aim to stop the evil plans of villains King Crab and Red Velvet. These characters can transform into powerful beings, and their abilities are based on what they do in their everyday lives. The game’s world is influenced by Saturday and Sunday morning cartoons of the 80’s and 90’s.


Tower of Time Announced for Consoles

Tactical RPG Tower of Time is currently available on PC, and players on console can also experience the game when it launches in Q1 2020. The game will specifically be launching on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The console versions will include a revised control scheme that is developed specifically for gamepads. It will also include new game modes that were added to the PC version early this year, plus an ultra-challenging ‘Permadeath’ mode, as well as the RPGlite mode.


World of Tanks Kicks Off First Ever Tank Festival

Iceberg Interactive’s narrative puzzle game The Sojourn is all set for launch. The game has received a release date of September 20, 2019 and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game features four chapters that each have its distinct styles and atmospheres. It also boasts of over 10 hours of gameplay, evolving puzzle mechanics, and many more.


Forza Horizon 4 Gets 1965 Ford Vehicle

A new vehicle is available in Forza Horizon 4, and it is the legendary, original Transit Mk 1 van from 1965. It comes with a 75-horsepower engine. The van can be modified according to players’ preferences in the game and also use it for races. Explaining why they added the vehicle to the game, Forza photographer Miko Russell said, “The Ford Transit is such a unique car that we wanted to have the very first one in the game… We like to switch it up on people a little bit!”


No Man’s Sky’s Beyond Update Release Date Confirmed

No Man’s Sky’s free Beyond update will roll out on August 14th for players on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Hello Games describes this update as the biggest one yet for No Man’s Sky as it adds functionality and features that will make the game even more robust. The Beyond update overhauls the game’s multiplayer mode, with “an expanded online experience [that] will bring a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together.” Full details are up on No Man’s Sky’s website.


GTA Online’s In-Game Casino Brings in a Surge of Players

GTA Online has experienced a surge in player count thanks to the recent opening of the Diamond Casino and Resort. Rockstar did not share official numbers, but the company shared that the free update “delivered the biggest single day and week in player numbers since GTA Online first went live in October 2013” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Diamond Casino update serves as some sort of a social space for GTA Online players that offers social activities aside from playing in the casino.


Epic Games Store Offers Two Free Games Again

The Epic Games Store is offering two new free games from now until August 9th! The free games are the mystery-thriller action-adventure game Alan Wake, and the medieval fantasy fighting game For Honor. Epic Games is offering two games as For Honor has received a Mature rating, and won’t be available for some audiences. The next Epic Games freebie will be GNOG. Three More Little Legends Added to Teamfight Tactics PBE

Three new Little Legends are added to Teamfight Tactics’ Public Beta Environment. The three new Little Legends are Hushtail, Paddlemar, and Protector, and they will be joining Furyhorn, Hauntling, Silverwing, Featherknight, Runespirit, Molediver, and River Sprite when Patch 9.16 rolls out on August 14th. More Little Legends are expected to be added, as Riot has already confirmed that Teamfight Tactics is now permanent.


Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PC Features Highlighted in Trailer

Ubisoft has released a trailer for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint highlighting the game’s features on PC. The game will include features such as 4K uncapped frame rate, ultra-wide and multi-monitor support, full controls customization, full PC optimization, Tobii eye tracking, and Discord support, among others. The game will be launching via the Google Stadia platform. It will also come to Xbox One and other platforms in October of this year.


Red Dead Online Specialist Roles Detailed

Rockstar has revealed more details on Specialists for Red Dead Online: the Bounty Hunter, the Trader, and the Collector. First of all, the Specialists don’t have a release date yet, instead Rockstar tweeted that these will be “coming soon.” The Specialists will also come with cosmetics, abilities, and upgrades. New Days Gone Free DLC Challenge Lets Players Ride Golf Carts

Days Gone has received a new DLC challenge and it lets players ride on a golf cart, and even run over Swarmers. The DLC challenge is named “Dead Don’t Ride” and it will have players ride in the golf cart and pick up survivors along the way. Players will also earn more time and XP by completing actions such as drifting, running over Swarmers, and using the unlimited boost.


Super Robot Wars V Launches on Switch This Year

The Super Robot Wars series is heading to the Nintendo Switch and it will come with English subtitles. The game will be available starting October 3rd in Japan and will be called Super Robot Wars V. It will also be launching on Steam, but Bandai Namco has not announced a release date at this time. Another Super Robot Wars game, Super Robot Wars X, will also be launching on PC and Switch and will also come with English subtitles.


Control Won’t Have New Game+, Photo Mode to be Added After Launch

Control is set to launch on August 27th, and its post-launch content has been revealed. In an interview, Control creative director Mikael Kasurinen said the game won’t come with a New Game+ mode after launch. On the other hand, it will get a photo mode. “There are no challenge or survival modes, but let’s see what we’ll do post-launch. Our team is really small so we have to carefully choose what we do. Whatever alternate games mode we could do, they’d have to fit into the world of Control,” Kasurinen explained.


No Man’s Sky Beyond Update Adds VR Mode

No Man’s Sky Beyond is set to arrive on August 14th, and it is set to bring VR to the game. Many fans have been requesting a VR feature for quite some time, and finally Hello Games is bringing the feature to No Man’s Sky. According to Hello Games, the update will bring VR to any update in the game, even the previous NEXT update. The developer promises the experience to be immersive and enriched. Beyond will also be adding a multiplayer component to the game.


Farming RPG Fields of Mistria Announced

A new farming RPG is coming, and it is called Fields of Mistria. The game is still currently in development, so details about the game are still scarce at this time. We know, however, that the game was inspired by Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, and Stardew Valley. The game features an anime aesthetic, and the town has around 30 people with stories players can follow. Aside from farming, players will also do crafting, fishing, mining, and even monster hunting.


Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Beta to Take Place in September

Ubisoft has announced a beta for its upcoming online tactical shooter Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. The beta will be taking place from September 5th to 8th, and not everyone can participate as participants will be randomly chosen. Elden Ring to be Showcased Behind Closed Doors at Gamescom

Bandai Namco will be presenting a demo for Elden Ring behind closed doors at this year’s Gamescom. This means only members of the press will be able to take a look at the demo. Those who will be part of the demo will be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, and won’t be allowed to record anything. The game doesn’t have a release date at this time, but rumors say it will arrive sometime in 2020.


War Thunder Kicks Off Operation H.E.A.T. Event

A new player event has kicked off in War Thunder. The event is called Operation H.E.A.T. and it runs from August 2nd until August 26th. The event will have players complete in-game tasks in order to get six new and exclusive vehicles: the BT-7 (F-32) light tank, Bf 110 C-6 heavy fighter, River class (K-246) frigate, AUBL/74 HVG armoured car, P-59A jet fighter and Yūdachi destroyer, as well as camouflages and decals.
