Barkley 2’s Development Proves Troublesome

Barkley 2 has been in development for quite some time now and it is proving to be much more troublesome than anyone had imagined. The sequel to the basketball role-playing game was crowdfunded via Kickstarter in 2012 and has been struggling ever since. A former developer has posted on the Something Awful forums where he labelled horrible management as the catalyst for the periodical lul in the development process and the reason he had quit the project. The project is not dead, just a long way from completion.


Steam Summer Sale Dates Leaked

The dates for the Steam’s annual Summer Sale have been leaked. The Steam Database Twitter account initially saw the date on a Chinese Steam community page, SteamCN. Said dates have been reportedly confirmed after consultations multiple sources. If the dates are as proclaimed, Steam’s Summer Sale will commence on June 25 and last for approximately two weeks. Considering precedents, June 25 is not far fetched however, Vale has not yet officially confirmed the date.


Cuphead Coming to TESLA Cars

Studio MDHR’s multi-award-winning bullet-hell shooter Cuphead will soon be playable on Tesla’s fleet of electric cars and their built-in dashboard screens. The is surely amazing news for the developer and fans as this is an unprecedented achievement. On episode 200 of my weekly Tesla podcast, Tesla CEO Elon Musk expressed that he is a huge fan of the game and that it is a pleasure having the game playable on Tesla’s Model 3, Model S, and Model X.


Modern Warfare Multiplayer Supports 20 Players

According to some sources, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot will allow up to 20 players to play online. Surely this number is low in comparison to the norm for BR games and even Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode has more players. However, 20-player non-battle royale mode will be a franchise first. Having 20 players in said mode may alter how the game was played traditionally but until developer Infinity Ward reveals more, not many accurate conclusion can be drawn.


Battlefield V Mode Removal Frustrates Players

Battlefield V recently released an update that was not embraced by the game’s player-base as some of the multiplayer modes have been removed. Battlefield 5 developers Dice posted a community broadcast update on the game’s subreddit announcing some changes that were to soon take effect. Unfortunate for some players, the removal of Frontlines and Domination is one of the said changes. Dice’s rationale is that these modes had really low player counts which caused frustratingly long queue timers.


Super Neptunia RPG Gets New System Update

Idea Factory’s role-playing game Super Neptunia RPG recently had a new system update which comes bearing some interesting details. Said details encompasses magic stones, quests, characters, and patch notes. Throughout the game, players will find various switches in cities and dungeons, Extermination or Collect/ Deliver quests and Hunt quests. Baldur’s Gate, Planescape, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights Coming to Consoles

Baldur’s Gate, Planescape, Icewind Dale And Neverwinter Nights are Coming to Consoles. The Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Pack will be released on console in celebration of its 20th anniversary. Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition / Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition will also be released. Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition will also be dropping. This collection is set to award longtime fans a nostalgic experience while making the titles more accessible to newer players.


Spacelords’ Team-Up or Die Update Launches

Mercury Steam has launched “Team-Up or Die” which is the third milestone in Spacelords’ Roadmap. This milestone sees the addition of demand-driven features that are meant to improve player communication in its cooperative games. The new Communication System introduces the concept of the Team Leader who delegates. Players have the option of adhering to the leader’s instruction or proposing new initiatives. The Team-Up or Die update is currently available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.


COD: Modern Warfare Trailer Views exceed 20 Million., Infinite Warfare Composer Returns

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s official trailer garnered over 20 million views in just 3 days. It sounds like a good time to be the developers as this means the title is highly anticipated but it does also mean that expectations are high. However, the game should do well if expectations are met. Taylor Kurosaki, the studio narrative director for Infinity Ward, also announced via his official Twitter account that he is honored to have Sarah Schachner, once again as the game’s composer.


Rebellion Announces 3 titles to be Unveiled at E3

Independent UK developer and publisher Rebellion has announced that it is bringing three titles to E3 2019. EVIL GENIUS 2 and SNIPER ELITE VR are the two confirmed titles to be showcased while the third remains a mystery but it is dubbed a new major unannounced title by the esteemed developers. The mystery game will be announced during the PC Gaming Show, which will be streamed live on Twitch on June 10, 2019. The new title is confirmed to be coming to consoles and PC.


Fallout 4 Mod Capital Wasteland Trailer Released

Fallout 4 mod Capital Wasteland has received a new gameplay trailer that showcases the ravenous Feral ghouls that have invaded DC and some select locations form Fallout 3. This is a complete overhaul project has not been without its fair share of legal snags, but the team behind it is has been working earnestly to see the project become a success. AI: The Somnium Files Reveals Trailer Plus Special Agent Edition

A new gameplay trailer has been revealed for AI: The Somnium Files and it showcases many of the game’s features. In addition to this, the game’s Special Agent Edition has also been revealed. This edition will come with a 39 track CD, A-set acrylic character stand, additional vinyl stickers, 30+ game artbook and a special outer box that features some special artwork. This Special Agent Edition is available for $89.99 USD. AI: The Somnium Files is set to launch on September 17 on PS4 and Switch.


Pirate Survival MMO ATLAS Gets Massive Update

Atlas, the pirate survival MMO received a massive content drop from Grapeshot Games. The new content includes the new Polar Ice Dungeon as well as the Abominable Snowman Boss Fight. There will be two new mission questlines, five new equatorial islands plus other areas that you will be able to explore. New weapons include a crossbow and speargun. Beyond Good & Evil 2 Will be Absent in E3 2019

Beyond Good & Evil 2 will not be making it to this year’s E3. The developers of the game said that they will be focusing on the game’s core development milestones instead. The story of Beyond Good & Evil 2 will actually be a prequel to the 2003 original. The developers are promising more gameplay footage as well as other news “when the time is right”. Some news will be shared really soon though, as the Space Monkey livestream event for the game will be happening on June 5 6PM PT.


Blood and Truth Tops UK Physical Sales Charts

Blood and Truth was able to top the UK sales chart last week and its entry is actually the very first VR game that was able to do so. Admittedly, the week in the charts is quiet with only two new entries coming in like Cricket ’19 which reached the 6th place and the Little Friends: Dogs and Cats which ranked 24th. Second on the list is FIFA 19 and on the third place is Team Sonic Racing. Fourth place is for Days Gone and the fifth is Rooty Dooty Redempty Tooty.


Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Story Campain Will Lead to Co-op Mode

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as previously reported will have a story campaign which will actually lead into the game’s co-op mode. Developer Infinity Ward was not able to give the details of the co-op mode, but they did confirm that it will not be zombies. Director of the game Jacob Minkoff explained that the events of the gameplay, progression, and story, they will all just continue throughout everything in the game. This means that everything will similar between modes.


Dead Dungeon to Launch on Nintendo Switch This June 14th

Dead Dungeon is heading to the Nintendo Switch on June 14th. A nasty villain has taken all the sweets as well as the souls of every living thing around you. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne New Weapon Updates

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is down to the last few weapon updates and the two weapons that are receiving new updates are the Insect Glaive and the Bow Weapon. The improved Insect Glaive can now use gathered slinger ammo in order to buff up the kinsect so that it can take multiple extractions from monsters. The Bow now has new technical moves as well as the ability to fire even when flung high in the air. Monster Hunter World: Iceborn will launch on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One.


The Division 2 Armor Glitch Patched

The armor glitch in The Division 2 has finally been patched. For the last few weeks, we have seen players of the game sport really high armor values. This was possible because of a crazy gear scaling bug. This glitch allows players to exploit the game’s gear score normalization by using certain mods. Ubisoft eventually patched the glitch out and warned the players who used it that if they will be violating any other terms of use in the game, it will result in a permanent ban of their account.


Transient Teaser Trailer Revealed

A new Lovecraftian sci-fi game called Transient has been announced by Iceberg Interactive and Stormling Studios. The game is actually a mix of Cyberpunk and H.P. Lovecraft. Transient will bring players into an intricate dystopian world where they find a truth about themselves that could pretty much bring them to the brink of insanity. The game uses Unreal Engine 4 offering amazing visuals and intense storytelling. Transient is set to launch by next year, 2020.


Winds of Change First Chapter is Free on Steam

The visual novel Winds of Change is a furry adventure game which will have its very first chapter available for free on Steam. The game offers a blend of open-world RPG elements and point-and-click adventure. The game offers an open world with a non-linear narrative, different parallel stories that unfold all over the world, a fully voiced narrative and side quests. Winds of Change is available on Steam Early Access and will launch as a full game on September 24th.
