Tetris Effect Gets a Demo This Week

Get to play the Tetris Effect demo this week. Developer Resonair will launch the demo on November 1st on the PlayStation Store and it will only be available through November 5th. The demo is called a “true limited-timed demo” which will be deactivated after November 5. The demo has 3 stages and 2 effect modes which is 2D, 4K on PS4 Pro and VR. An extra mode called marathon is also playable on the demo. The game will launch on November 9 exclusively for the PS4 it will have 27 levels and 10 modes.

New Survival Horror Game Maid of Sker Announced

A brand new survival game has been announced by Wales Interactive and it is called The Maid of Sker. The game will be available towards the end of next year and it will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game’s title is from a Welsh ballad and is all about the tale of Elizabeth Williams and is set in the Porthcawl’s Sker House in 1898. The game focuses on stealth instead of the in your face kind of action. It also has an intelligent AI that will allow players to distract enemies in the game.

Play Battlefield 5 11 Days Early with Origin Access Premier

Players who are subscribed to Origin Access Premier get to play Battlefield 5 11 days early than everyone else! As mentioned, this comes with a price, as Origin Access Premier is a paid subscription. Players who want to subscribe need to shell out $14.99 a month, or $99.99 a year. The Basic plan is a little more affordable at $4.99 a month, or $29.99 a year. Aside from the full early access, subscribers also get extra content like microtransaction bonuses and even expansion packs in some cases.

Last Year: The Nightmare Closed Beta Happening This Weekend

Developer Elastic Games has announced the closed beta for their new horror title called Last Year: The Nightmare. This will start on Friday, November 2nd at 5 PM EST and will only run until Sunday, November 4th at 3:01 AM EST. For you to get a chance to enter, you must go to the official site of Last Year: The Nightmare and follow the steps. If chosen you will receive a code that you will be able to redeem in the Discord Store. If you are not able to join, the game is set to release by the end of the year.

Battlerite Royale Free to Play This Week

Stunlock Studios announced a “Free Midweek” for MOBA battle royale game Battlerite royale. During the Free Midweek, players can try out the game free of charge, and since it also coincides with the Steam Halloween Sale, the game will also be available at 30% off until November 2nd. An in-game Halloween event called “Curse Of The Night” is also underway and runs until November 7th, so if you want to hop in with a festive mood, do check out this game now.

GOG Halloween Sale Now Under Way

GOG is also hosting its own Halloween sale! Dubbed as the Trick or Treat Sale, the site is offering discounts to a wide selection of games! Some games included in the sale are horror games like Little Nightmares, Alan Wake, and Night in the Woods. Monster Hunter World Raid Boss Kulve Heads to PC in November

Monster Hunter: World raid boss Kulve Taroth will be making an appearance in the PC version of the game. Starting November 2nd 5 PM PT, this golden Elder Dragon is available to contend with until November 15th 4:59 PM PT. Players must form a 16 player team to embark in this mission. This raid will be broken down into groups of four and you will work together in order to complete the same objectives. Complete this, and you will be rewarded with new ‘Appraisal Weapons’ as well as materials to forge.

Graveyard Keeper Gets an Update

Graveyard Keeper is rolling out a new update just in time for Halloween. The Breaking Dead update will give players the ability to resurrect the dead using a newly added crafting table. What’s more is that you can have the undead do your bidding. Make them chop wood, mine stone, tend the garden, or even craft and sell items. You’ll need to continually provide better organs for your undead workers though in order to increase their productivity.

Techland Announces Halloween Festivities

Techland is having some Halloween festivities and it will be starting on October 29th. Dying Light will be 67% off on Steam which will also have gold tier weapon dockets and seasonal skins. Also, Dying Light: Bad Blood which will have a Horse Head mask, a new spooky setting and Halloween themed events which will be available on October 31st. Get both games as a bundle and you will get it for 10% off. Pure Farming 2018 will also get a Halloween event where players can get extra cash across the map.

First Shadows: Awakening DLC Out Now on PC

The first DLC for Shadows Awakening is out now. The DLC is called The Chromaton Chronicles and will task players to travel to the Arcanum Laboratory and unravel the mystery behind the controversial experiments that took place there before the fall of Thole. Players will also be able to collect pieces of the Chromaton Heart and revive the Chromaton Golem, an all-new puppet with powerful skills. The DLC is currently available on PC and will launch on consoles in November.


General Grievous Now Added to Battlefront 2

The General Grievous update is coming to Star Wars: Battlefront 2. Although the content has not been shared yet, it has been datamined and here is what they were able to find out. Both Ashoka and Padme are coming to the game as hero units. This was found out via the audio files that are named for them. Of course, since the information has only been dataminded and no official announcement has been released yet we must take the information with a grain of salt and wait for the official announcement.

DICE Reveals Battlefield 5 Microtransactions

DICE has shared how the Battlefield 5 microtransactions would work. There are two types of currency in the game which are “Company Coin” and “Battlefield Currency”. The Company Coin can be earned through daily missions, Career Rank progression as well as special assignments. The Battlefield Currency, on the other hand, can be purchased, however, players are only able to use this for purchasing cosmetics. As for the Company Coin, players can use it to purchase skill tree upgrades and new gear.

Take-Two Entertainment proudly announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 has set the record of having the biggest launch weekend of all time, boasting of over $725 million in worldwide sell-through in its first three days. It also has the second biggest launch in retail sell-through across all entertainment releases. It is the biggest entertainment launch of the year as well as the most pre-ordered full game ever on PlayStation Network, and the biggest day one full game sales ever on PlayStation Network.

Just Cause 4 Has Gone Gold

Square Enix and Avalanche Studios have announced that Just Cause 4 has finally gone gold! This means that development for the game has been completed and is all set for production! Just Cause 4 will be launching worldwide on December 4th and will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Just Cause 4 follows protagonist Rico Rodriguez, and is set in the South American world of Solis. The game features extreme weather conditions, a huge world, and much more!

New DiRT Rally 2.0 Dev Diary Teases Gameplay

Codemasters released a new dev diary which talked about their upcoming racing game DiRT Rally 2.0. The dev diary talked about why the developers decided to develop DiRT Rally 2.0 now. Chief Games Designer Ross Gowing also talked about how they came about creating the game, citing community feedback, and improvements from the previous game as references to create 2.0. The game will be available on February 20, 2019 on the Xbox One.

Strange Brigade’s 2nd DLC Installment Out Now

The second DLC of Strange Brigade is here and it is called The Thrice Damned 2: The Sunken Kingdom. This is the follow up to the first DLC installment which is The Isle of the Dead. Players would get to go on an adventure to a mythical underground city. The city is stunning with a majestic temple in the middle, however, it is guarded by some deadly cave-dwelling unfriendlies. The Thrice Damned 2: The Sunken Kingdom is now available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Detroit: Become Human Wins Big at Ping Awards

Developer Quantic Dream has proudly announced that its adventure game Detroit: Become Human has garnered several awards at the 2018 Ping Awards in France. The game has won Best Graphics, Best Console Game, and also the Grand Prize. Detroid: Become Human released back in May of this year, and is exclusive to the PlayStation 4. The game is set in the near-future metropolis of Detroit and features three android characters as protagonists.

Titanfall 3, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Might Launch By Late 2019

It appears like Respawn Entertainment has a couple of games coming out by 2019. According to the prepared remarks from EA’s recent second quarter fiscal 2019 earnings call, new projects are underway across multiple studios, “including games from Respawn that are slated to launch by next holiday season.” These games are Titanfall 3 and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, among other games. Remedy is yet to confirm these.

Fortnite’s Next Update is Delayed

The next Fortnite update is delayed, as announced by Epic. The new 6.21 update was supposed to be released on October 31st but had been postponed because a bug had been discovered in the build at the very last minute. Originally the game was scheduled to go down for the update on the 31st of October but that has now been moved to November 1st instead. Also, just like all the other Fortnite updates, the patch notes of 6.21 will be made available on the same date of its release which is by tomorrow.

Legit Hospital Management Sim Project Hospital Out Now

Hospital management sim Project Hospital is out now on PC. Although you might compare this with Two Point Hospital which recently released, you might want to give that a second thought. Two Point Hospital has a more comedic theme, whereas Project Hospital has a more serious tone as players will deal with real-life illnesses and diseases aside from building the hospital from down-up. The game features an open-ended sandbox mode as well as a campaign mode, among others.

Black Ops 4 Gets Changes

Some changes are coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout. These are a few bug fixes as well as quality-of-life updates.
