Vegito Will Be Playable in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Bandai Namco has revealed another playable character for its upcoming game, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Vegito is a fusion of Goku and Vegeta by using Potara earrings. He made a return in Dragon Ball Super’s “Future” Trunks Saga and is also a playable character in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will officially launch January 17, 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Warcraft 3: Reforged Beta Announced

Blizzard has announced that the Warcraft III: Reforged multiplayer beta will be starting this week. The invites will be rolling out “over the coming weeks” and initial invites will be sent in waves to those who pre-ordered the Spoils of War edition. Other players, especially those who pre-ordered the standard edition of the game will also get invites after the initial invites have been sent out. The initial beta will feature orcs and humans with 1v1 and 2v2 matchmaking.

New Battlefield Game Will Launch to Next-Gen Consoles

During EA’s latest fiscal call, the company has revealed that a new Battlefield game is in the works, however, it won’t be launching next year, breaking its yearly release cycle. The new Battlefield game will be launching for next-gen consoles and is planned for launch on March 2022. EA still has plans to support Battlefield 5 for the meantime, with the game’s 5.0 update rolling out October 31st, and new content arriving in fiscal year 2021.

EA Games and EA Access Coming to Steam

EA and Valve will be partnering up to bring EA Games and EA Access to Steam. This will be spearheaded by the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on November 15th on Steam. Players who purchase it on Steam will still need to have Origin installed in order to play it. Other titles, such as Apex Legends and Battlefield 5, will also be heading to Steam next year. Playing on Origin will also allow players to play with friends who are on Steam.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Shows Intense Battles in Launch Trailer

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s launch trailer has debuted, featuring intense lightsaber battles and more. EA and Respawn are still tight-lipped on some story details at this time, but the launch trailer gave us some hints to the story. The video teases the game’s story featuring the protagonist Cal Ketsis. The story revolves around the Order 66 Jedi being hunted down, with Cal attempting to find something that the Empire also wants. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order launches November 15th.

Shigeru Miyamoto Awarded as “Person of Cultural Merit” By Japanese Government

Mario and Legend of Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto has been awarded “Person of Cultural Merit” by the Japanese government. The award is given to those who have made great cultural contributions to the country, and with the huge popularity of Mario and Legend of Zelda games, it is no surprise Miyamoto received this award. A ceremony for Miyamoto’s achievements will be held on November 5th in Tokyo Hotel. Other notable people awarded the prestigious award include Studio Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki and “founding mother” of shojo manga Moto Hagio.

ReadySet Heroes Cross-Play Rolls Out

Robot Entertainment’s brawler ReadySet Heroes will be launching Cross-Play support for players on PC and PlayStation 4 starting October 29th. This feature allows players across both platforms to play together as long as players are connected to the internet. To enable the feature, players should have downloaded the latest update which is version 1.08. In the PS4 settings, players should uncheck ‘Connect to PS4 only’. ReadySet Heroes launched October 1st. It is also available via the Epic Games Store.

GTFO Showcases Stealth and More in Gameplay Trailer

10 Chambers Collective dropped the latest gameplay trailer for its upcoming co-op horror shooter, GTFO. The video showcases the game’s map which is covered in fog. Teams are instructed to retrieve an item and reach a specific area in the map. Monsters are everywhere so players have to be careful until they locate their objective. 10 Chambers has announced a closed beta, and those interested can sign up in the game’s website for a chance to get an invite. The game arrives on Steam Early Access later this year.

Nioh 2 PS4 Open Beta Starts November 1st

Team Ninja will be running an open beta for Nioh 2 on PlayStation 4. It will start November 1st. During the beta, Team Ninja will also be launching a character creation contest by having players use the game’s character creator. Entries can be shared on Twitter using the game’s uploader and should include the hashtag “#Nioh2b_contest” in the comment box. 3 female characters and 3 male characters will be chosen as winners and will be included as presets in the full game. Winners’ names will also be included in the credits.

Apex Legends to Release on New Platforms

EA has revealed that Apex Legends will be releasing to new platforms. The game is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a mobile version also coming. EA did not specifically mention which new platforms the game will be added to, but it is safe to say it will be available in Sony’s PS5 and Microsoft’s Scarlett — both successors to the PS4 and Xbox One respectively.

The Surge 2 Season Pass Revealed

The Surge 2 is getting a Season Pass, developer Deck13 Interactive has revealed. The season pass is available for 20 Dollars, and features content drops which will be available until January 2020. Content will include weapons, new story expansion, and more. Arriving first in November are 13 additional weapons, followed by three gear sets in December. The season pass wraps up with “The Kraken” story expansion in January.

Destiny 2 Halloween Event is Now Live

The game Destiny is known for its seasonal events, and the game’s second iteration is the same. Destiny 2 has brought back the Halloween event called Festival of the Lost which is running now up until November 19th. There will be so many activities available like earning bounties while donning some themed masks. The event will also come with many rewards including the Braytech Werewolf Legendary Auto Rifle. Plus a new location is also available called the Haunted Forest.

Red Dead Online Limited- Edition Showdown Mode Announced

A limited-edition showdown mode has been announced for Red Dead Online by Rockstar. This mode will be available up until November 12th and will have players attempting to take down the powerful Night Stalkers. These creatures are powered by their skull masks, so players should attempt to get these masks to weaken them and eventually kill them. Players who are able to win a round will get an exclusive reward called the Freak Mask.

Final Fantasy 14 Online and Nier Automata Crossover to Come in Patch 5.1

Final Fantasy 14 Online is getting a Nier: Automata crossover and it comes with a 24-player raid dungeon which introduces the android 2P. This will come with the 5.1 patch of the game which will also have new main quests like that for the baby pixies, improved tools for playing the musical instruments in the game like the trombone and so much more.

Xbox One is having a Halloween sale and it is called the Shocktober Sale! Fortnite’s Halloween Event Fortnitemares is Out Now

Fortnite’s Halloween event called the Fortnitemares is now live. This is available for all of the game’s platforms and will include new limited-time modes, new challenges, some devilish skins, as well as some spooky looking cosmetics. There are three special LTMs available for the game and they are Storm King, Gun Fright and Mansion of Power. The Fortnitemares event will run up until November 4th only.
