OCTOBER 30 PART 1

New Twin Mirror Trailer Showcases Gameplay

Twin Mirrors, the psychological thriller from Dontnod and Bandai Namco, has released a new video featuring some hands-on gameplay. The video is almost 14 minutes long, and shows the first few minutes of the game. We see the protagonist Sam waking up in a motel room with no memory of what happened the night before. We then see how he tries searching for clues inside the room and even inside his mind. The game’s first episode, ‘Lost On Arrival’ will be available in early 2019.


Starborne: Sovereign Space Alpha Launches October 30th

Free-to-play multiplayer strategy game Starborne: Sovereign Space’s next alpha goes live! The game is available on PC starting October 30th, a year after its last big alpha test. The game’s developers said that there have been a lot of changes since the previous alpha, so players should expect a changelog soon. Starborne lets players take on the role of a space commander as they try to compete against thousands of other players who are also trying to take control of the galaxy.


Super Street: The Game Gets New Update

Super Street: The Game got a new update and it adds quite a number of new stuff, some of which were most requested by players. First, it adds a major update on car physics – understeering/oversteering, handbrake, downforce and more. The AI also gets rebalanced. There’s also new controller layout, as well as improvements to the reverse functionalities. An auto-respawn is also added for when cars are upside down. The Pit of Doom Now on Early Access

Kerberos Productions’ The Pit of Doom is now on Early Access. If you’re a fan of roguelike and FPS genres, then this game is for you. The Pit of Doom’s Early Access version already has most of the single player features in place. Players can get access to 30 randomly generated levels with each one progressively more difficult than the previous one. Players will search rooms and corridors for weapons, food, armor, tools, and ammo. The game is expected to be in Early Access for 6-12 months.


Hitman 2 Reveals Sean Bean’s Character

IO Interactive and Warner Bros. have released the first in-game screenshots of Hitman 2’s first Elusive Target, the one played by Sean Bean. In Hitman 2, Bean will take on the role of Mark Faba, a former MI5 agent. Faba turned into a freelance assassin and is known as “The Undying” because he has a reputation of faking his own death. The first Elusive Target is set to arrive November 20th, a week after Hitman 2 officially launches. It runs for a limited time.

Fallout: New California Out Now

Fallout: New California, a mod for Fallout: New Vegas is finally out, and players will now be able to play a strictly single-player version of the game. New California lets players take the role of a crippled Enclave who goes on a journey through the aftermath of the NCR-Enclave War following the end of Fallout 2 twenty years before. It leads to the events that inspired Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Fallout 76 BETA Schedule for PC and PS4 Announced

PC and PS4 gamers, here’s your chance to get on the Fallout 76 BETA! Mark your calendars as we give you the schedule. The first one starts Tuesday, October 30th from 7 to 11pm ET, with the next one taking place on Thursday, November 1st from 2 to 7pm ET. Another one is scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd from 5 to 9pm ET, and the last one on Sunday, November 4th from 2 to 9 p.m. ET. Xbox One players can also take part during these times. The BETA is available for customers who pre-ordered, has a Bethesda account, and has a code.


Golden Joystick Awards “Ultimate Game of the Year” Shortlist Announced, Voting Opens

The Golden Joystick Awards has announced its shortlist for Ultimate Game of the Year 2018, and they want your votes! This specific category has its own voting period which runs until November 2nd. Nominees include: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Forza Horizon 4, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Monster Hunter World, Red Dead Redemption 2, Fortnite Battle Royale, and more. You can vote via GamesRadar’s website.


Edge Case Games Ends Development on MMO Fractured

Edge Case Games will be halting development for its space MOBA Fractured Space. The company announced that the Infection update will be its last, after which the developer will now move on to other things. Fractured Space is a free-to-play game and has been in full release for a full two years. Sadly its average concurrent player count couldn’t break into the 4-digit mark.


Layers of Fear 2 Available Starting 2019

Polish developer Bloober Team has officially announced Layers of Fear 2, the sequel to the 2016 horror game of the same title. Layers of Fear 2 is set to be released in 2019. The game features the voice of Tony Todd who played “The Candyman” in the movie of the same title. The game is set in a desolate ship, and fans can expect an “experience that no fan of the horror genre should pass on.” The game features psychedelic visions, unnerving atmosphere, and a nightmare that players will never forget.


SCUM Adds Heart Attack to Deal With Overeating Player

One SCUM player attempted to test the limits of the game by overeating. His character is now over 400 kilograms as of this report. Developer Devolver Digital said they are aware of this undertaking, and as such, they decided to add “heart attack” to the game since that’s how it is like in real life – you gain too much weight, you get heart problems. This won’t be added anytime soon, though as this is still in the drawing table. Currently, players can die of hypothermia or overexertion in SCUM.

Bethesda Confirms Fallout 76 Microtransactions Not Pay-to-Win

Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 76 will have microtransactions, but the company is also quick to clarify that it will solely be for cosmetics, and not pay-to-win. This is an important point, as the game is purely multiplayer in nature. Being able to purchase better weapons would put the game off the balance. Microtransactions in Fallout 76 will come in the form of Atoms which players can buy with real money, or earn through gameplay. Bethesda has not yet announced the price points for Atoms at this time.

The 2018 Steam Halloween Sale is underway! If you’re looking for some spooky games at discounted prices, here are some that’s on sale from now through November 1st. You can hop in on some creepy multiplayer action with Friday the 13th: The Game, or if you’re the explorer type, why not get your copy of the underwater exploration game Soma. Monster Hunter World Has Shipped 10 Million Units and Breaks Capcom’s Record!

Monster Hunter World proves to be popular as it was able to ship 10 million copies worldwide and that is actually a first for any single Capcom game in history. Capcom’s net sales shot up to 28.5% doubling their income to 110.1% as compared to the first half of the fiscal year 2018. Monster Hunter World released on January 26, and for the first six months was able to garner a net sales of 43.3 million yen. The profits brought in by the game further shot up when the title released on Steam for PC.


Fortnite Fans Achieve Guinness World Record at Paris Games Week

Fortnite fans gathered during Paris Games Week and set a new Guinness World Record. 393 fans got together and performed different Fortnite emotes, and eventually set a world record for the Most Participants in a Video Game Emote Routine! The participants all wore various Fortnite outfits, as well as Cuddle Team hoodies. They did the emotes through a dance routine.


Destiny 2 Tops September Console Sales

Research company SuperData has released its September report for top-grossing video games worldwide, and Destiny 2 came in the top spot for console sales. The game has reportedly overtaken major games such as Spider-Man PS4 and Fortnite. The recent release of Destiny 2’s Forsaken update may have has a huge impact on sales. Other games on the list are FIFA 19 which is on third, NBA 2K19 on fifth, and PUBG on tenth places.


Rainbow Six Siege Gets New Update

Rainbow Six Siege is getting a new update and it focuses on the balances of Operators and weapons. This update was first tested on PC and is going to be live for all platforms this week. Also called the Y3S3.2 patch, this will go live on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 31st. The PC version was already able to get the update and was down for maintenance for about an hour which would most likely be the same for the consoles. No Man’s Sky’s Abyss Update Live Now

Hello Games has rolled out a new update for No Man’s Sky, and it brings players underwater! The Abyss update, as it is called, makes the waters a major environment in the game. It has a bunch of new plant life and minerals which players can discover. Explorers’ space suit and jetpacks also double as scuba gear. This new content update even has a new storyline added to the game. And of course, there will also be sea monsters! The Abyss update is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


God Eater 3 ReleaseDate Revealed

Bandai Namco has revealed the release date for its upcoming game God Eater 3! The game will be heading west on February 8, 2019 and will be available on PC and PlayStation 4. The game will be releasing in Japan on December 13th. God Eater 3 will task players into exploring the world, tracking down an army of gods, and battling them with a huge array of new weapons, moves, and techniques.


Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Gets Free Halloween Event

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is getting a free Halloween event which is called the Geheimnisnacht event. This is a part of the patch 1.2.2 which is about 4 GB in size. It also comes with some fixes which are in particular for the Tobii Eyeytracker. The Geheimnisnact event will last until November 4th and will have all of the game’s maps change into night time. Also included is a new themed event that will reward customers with exclusive portrait frames. The game is also for Sale on Steam until November 1st.


Playstation Classic’s Full Lineup Revealed

Sony’s tiny PlayStation Classic retro console is hitting store shelves this December, and finally we get the list of games that will come pre-loaded with the console! There’s a total of 20 games, and we’ll highlight some of them. These games include: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 7, Rayman, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, Tekken 3, Syphon Filter, and Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee among others. Red Dead Redemption 2 Takes Top Spot in UK Sales Charts

Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 has debuted on the top of the UK Sales Charts, as far as physical sales are concerned. This is the second biggest launch in the UK for this year. The game also doubled the sales figures of 2010’s Red Dead Redemption. On second place is Activision’s Call of Duty Black Ops 4, followed by FIFA 19 in third. Forza Horizon 4 is at the fourth spot, followed by Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in fifth. This chart reflects in-store sales only.
