Google Announces Project Stream and Lets You Play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Google’s Project Stream is Google’s take on game streaming and it will get a semi-public beta this coming October 5th. Those who are lucky enough to be a part of this project will be able to play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for free. To join, you just have to go to the Project Stream website and sign up. The requirements are: players should be 17 years of age or older, is living in the US, and has an internet connection of at least 25 megabits per second. The Access is only available until January 2019.
Fallout 76 Beta Size Revealed
The Fallout 76 beta file size was revealed and players would need 45 GB free disk space. This is because the Fallout 76 beta will actually be the full game already. What is frustrating, however, is the fact that there doesn’t seem to be any plans for pre-loading. The full Fallout 76 is slated to launch in November. Players will be given around 4 to 8 hours in order to “stress test and break the game”. The Beta for Xbox One players is on October 23rd and for PC and PS4 players it will be on October 30.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey PC System Requirements Revealed
Ubisoft has revealed the system requirements for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and it looks pretty demanding. At minimum, the game will require an AMD FX 6300 3.8 GHz, Intel Core i5 2400 3.1 GHz, or Ryzen 3 – 1200 CPU. Ubisoft recommends an AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz, Intel Core i7-3770 3.5 GHz, or Ryzen 5 – 1400 CPU for 1080p 30fps. For 4k at 30fps, the CPU requirement is either an AMD Ryzen 1700X 3.8 GHz, or Intel Core i7 7700 4.2 GHz. It requires 8GB of RAM and AMD Radeon R9 285 GPU at minimum. For 4k, it will require an AMD Vega 64, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU and 16GB of RAM.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Gets Its Own Version of Summit
Treyarch has revealed a new multiplayer map that will be coming to Black Ops 4. The map is called Summit and long-time fans of the game will easily recognize this. The original Summit map was first featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Summit was first revealed to be making its appearance to Black Ops 4 back in June. It is a snowy research facility located in the Ural Mountains. This, and another multiplayer map called Morocco, will be available once the game launches in October 12th.
PlayStation Hosts FIFA 19 Continental Cup 2018 at Paris Games Week
The FIFA 19 Continental Cup 2018 will be hosted by PlayStation 4 during the Paris Game’s week. This starts on October 26th and will last until the 28th. Qualifying events are available all throughout the month starting on the sixth up until the fourteenth. Only 32 players will advance to the Continental Cup 2018. Those who will be winning will receive cash prizes as well as a trip to the UEFA Champion’s League Final in Madrid, Spain. You would need an active PlayStation Plus account to complete.
Treyarch Reveals New Black Ops 4 Map Morocco
Here’s another multiplayer map which will be coming to Call of Duty Black Ops 4! The map is called Morocco, and unlike the snowy Summit map, this one is desert-themed. Long-time fans may get excited with this new map as it appears like it’s the first desert-themed map for the game. Along with this map and the Summit map, the total number of maps available at launch day is now at 12. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be available starting October 12th.
Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 Launches This November
Asterix and Obelix are back in a new video game! Asterix & Obelix XXL2 is an action-adventure game that is filled with parodies of the greatest icons in the video game world. Asterix and Obelix were tasked to take up challenges in Julius Caesar’s amusement park called Las Vegum. The game has pop culture references in its scenery and in the dialogue. Players will also get to encounter characters like Mario and Crash Bandicoot. Asterix & Obelix XXL 2 will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on November 29th.
GOG Celebrates 10th Anniversary
It is GOG.com’s 10th year anniversary and it comes with freebies and discounts. For their anniversary giveaway, players get to vote from Firewatch, Shadow Warrior 2 and Superhot, with the winning game available for free for 48 hours. There are also three-anniversary collections available called The Timeless Essentials, The Art of Aging Gracefully, and The Modern Classics. Also, some of the greatest DRM-free games are available for up to 80% off in the GOG.com anniversary sale.
Double Cross Release Delayed to 2019
The action adventure game Double Cross has been delayed due to an art overhaul and a gameplay update. The new launch date is now January 2019. In Double Cross players get to play as a R.I.F.T. agent named Zahra who will travel across universes in order to solve a multidimensional mystery and finally figure out who the attacker of the R.I.F.T headquarters is. The game offers an action platformer that is crossed with an investigation adventure-style gameplay. Double Cross will launch for PC and Nintendo Switch.
Fury Unleashed Local Co-op Added in New Update
Rogue-lite action-platformer Fury Unleashed is currently on Early Access in Steam, and a new update has been added to the game. The update includes the addition of local co-op plus some other changes. The changes players can expect include secrets that players can discover in random places in the game’s world, special golden ink players can get by killing enemies, elite enemies, and new NPCs among other things. The game will officially launch in early 2019 for PC, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
Kursk PC Release Moved to Coincide With Movie Release
Kursk is an adventure-documentary that is based on the events of August 12, 2000, where a submarine with a crew of 118 sank to the bottom of the Barens Sea. The game is based on facts and its main mechanics include missions, espionage, warfare, economy, diplomacy, internal policies as well as a unique event system. The game was previously announced to release on October 11th but it was delayed to launch on November 7th as the this is the date of the movie premiere of the same title.

Killing Floor 2’s Holloween Update is Its Biggest this Year
Killing Floor 2’s Halloween update is now up and Tripwire has released a new trailer to showcase the new content. The update is called Halloween Horrors: Masquerade update and is the biggest content update for the game this year. Players will be treated to a new Monster Ball map playable in Weekly, Survival, Versus Survival, and Endless. New halloween-themed models, effects and sounds have also been applied to the zeds and bosses. 3 new weapons have also been added, as well as new prestige weapon skins.
Harry Potter RPG Leaked Before Announcement
Footage of what appears to be a Harry Potter role-playing game was uploaded to YouTube by user RastaPasta and then taken down after a copyright claim from Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment. According to BBC’s Lizo Mzimba, the game is currently entitled Harry Potter Magic Awakened, but that does seem to be only a working title for now. Eurogamer also reported that its sources say that the game is at least a year away from release. Regardless, it’s definitely great news for fans of the wizarding franchise.
New Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Shows More of Its Open-World Gameplay
Rockstar Games released a new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 which gave us a look a its gameplay. The video, referred to as “Gameplay Video Part 2,” showcases the game’s open world and what players can do. The trailer shows gameplay elements such as robbing trains, interacting with your gang members and other inhabitants of the world. We also got a look at the updated Deadeye system. The trailer also touched on customization, other mini activities, duels, and bounty hunting.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: All the Details You Need Before Launch
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is almost here as it will be officially launching on October 5th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Those wanting to make the purchase have different editions to choose from and those who pre-order would get different kinds of bonuses depending on the store. There are 6 editions for the game: The Standard, Deluxe, Gold, Ultimate, Kassandra Collector’s Edition, and the Spartan and Pantheon Collector’s Edition. There are some Collector’s Statues also available.
Overwatch’s Pharah Gets Some Changes
Overwatch hero Pharah is about to be hit by a few changes. A new version of Pharah is currently on the PC public test server and it seems her rockets will now do less splash damage but will also do increased direct damage. This will mean that those who play as her will need to aim better, which is definitely not easy given how slow her rockets move. On the other hand, the cooldown for her concussive blast has been reduced, allowing players to use it more often.
Overcooked 2 Gets New Game+ and DLC
A new update has been rolled out to Overcooked 2 that adds a New Game+ mode and a four-star completion rating to all levels. The New Game+ mode will allow players to replay any level to try and get that fourth star, or maybe even just a better rating if you didn’t get three stars to begin with. A beach-themed DLC will also be launching today called Surf ‘n’ Turf. The DLC will have you cooking up kebab skewers and smoothies near or while in the sea. It will also feature a returning hero chef from the first game.
XCOM Celebrates 6th Anniversary with New DLC
It is XCOM’s sixth birthday and they are celebrating it with the Tactical Legacy Pack DLC. This DLC will release on October 9th and is temporarily free. This is an update for XCOM 2’s War of the Chosen expansion and it will bridge the timeline gap between the Enemy Unknown and its 2016 sequel. It will come with new maps, modes, weapons, and armor. Also, new attitudes and helmets for soldiers, new colors, new background and new poses for the Photobooth mode are available plus a host of new armaments.
Black Squad Announces EU tournament
eSports Tournament “Black Squad” has announced a 7000-Euro European tournament with first Weekly Cups starting October 7th and happening every Sunday. The monthly finals will take place every Tuesday of the subsequent month. Players will battle it out in the military first-person-shooter Black Squad which features 42 maps, 8 game modes, over 50 weapons to choose from, 10 characters, and over 250 skins for customization. The Black Squad tournament is done in partnership with ESL Play.
Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Clone Wars Coming February 2019
A big new game mode is coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2 for February 2019 as seen in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Roadmap. The new mode is Clone Wars, and EA DICE describes this new mode as “large-scale and non-linear.” It has capture points as well as capital ship takedowns. This is the most prominent thing that we can find in the roadmap. The other things listed include new characters – one of which can be seen this month who is General Grievous – and other alternate appearances available for the other characters.
PUBG Has Banned 13 Million Cheaters to Date
PUBG has permanently banned 13 million players who have been cheating, as discovered in a Reddit post by Eurogamer. This number is spread across 69 weekly waves of bans done by the company. The peak number is at 1 million, 10 thousand, one hundred sixty-three players on the company’s 42nd weekly ban session. The lowest number of players banned was during Bluehole’s 69th weekly ban with just under 100,000 players getting banned.
