Capcom Names Monster Hunter: World As Its Best-Selling Game Ever

It’s official! Monster Hunter World is now Capcom’s biggest-selling game in its history! The game has sold 10 million copies worldwide. This number includes digital sales since the game launched on Steam, which is estimated at 2 million copies sold. The game has seen really positive numbers in terms of sales when it launched on PC, as it quickly rose as one of the games with biggest player count.

Warhammer 40K Mechanicus Turns Steam Achievements to Combat Abilities

Players of Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus will be able to use their Steam achievements in the game. Game producer Andrew McKerrow said that “Steam achievements don’t really hold much value these days” that is why he decided to add a mechanic to it and tying it up with the Warhammer IP. Players will be able to unlock in-game combat abilities with their Steam achievements with the new mechanic. Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus will launch on November 15, 2018. Pre-orders for the game are available right now.

New Rage 2 Gameplay Showcases Fighting and More

id Software and Avalanche Studios released a new gameplay video for their upcoming game Rage 2. The video showcases the game’s combat, and so far it looks like players get four powers: Slam, Dash, Overdrive, and Shatter. Slam lets you jump high in the sky then land on the ground with so much force and blowing enemies nearby. Dash lets you move fast across the world. Overdrive gives you a short burst of speed and strength. Shatter sends enemies and objects flying. All these and more will be available when Rage 2 releases sometime next year.

Mysterious Purple Cube Now Slowly Moving Across Fortnite’s Map

An update to that purple-Fortnite cube that appeared recently is that it is slowly moving. If you have been living under a rock, here’s a recap. The rift from season 5 started turning purple, shooting out lighting. Then a bouncy purple cube appeared covered with strange symbols. Touching the cube sends you flying while going near it will fill up your shield and shooting at it sends out lighting sparks. The latest, however, is that it now seems to be moving at the speed of 1 step per 1 hour and 43 minutes.

Spider-Man PS4 is Reportedly 20 Hours Long on Default Difficulty

Insomniac Games Community Director James Stevenson answered some questions about their upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive game Spider-Man. One question asked about is the length of the game which Stevenson answered to be 20 hours on the default difficulty without the sidequests. Also, the preload size is around 45 GB minimum. Lastly, he confirmed that the game will have accessibility options available with the Day 1 patch which includes colorblind mode, HUD size increase, and more.

Anthem Reveals More Details On Javelins and Gameplay

BioWare’s Anthem is releasing soon and new information has been shared about it. Firstly, among all the javelins, Storm is said to be the most vulnerable. There also won’t be any requirement in order to use four different javelins in an instance. No skins will be available for the weapons at launch. Cosmetics will totally be separate. And materials for decoration will be plentiful. Loot can also be stored in your inventory but will not necessarily clutter it. We can expect more information soon.

Anno 1800 Will Let Players Choose Their Own Adventure

The latest Anno entry by Ubisoft will let players choose their own adventure. A huge part of the game will be based on exploring the world as well as finding new and valuable things from the lands that you visit. You can set sail and look for rare and historical artifacts or perhaps some exotic animals to take home and place on exhibit. There will also be some story events that you will have to navigate with the right crew, gear, and morale. Anno 1800 will launch on February 26, 2019.

Rumors that PUBG may be coming to the Playstation 4 has once again surfaced after hawk-eyed players spotted a Playstation 4 Pro console in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Gamescom 2018 video. It’s interesting how these players spotted it, considering how it’s located in a corner. A dualshock controller was also spotted placed beside the console. Rumors of the game coming to Sony’s console have sparked once more, however Bluehole has not confirmed this.

WWE 2K19 Confirms 2 NXT UK Superstars as Playable Wrestlers

Two NXT UK superstars are confirmed to be coming to WWE 2K19. The current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne, as well as the former champ Tyler Bate, were revealed to be coming to the WWE 2K franchise. Blizzard Removes Paid Loot Boxes and Loot Chests in Belgium

Blizzard has announced that they will be removing paid loot boxes and chests from both Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm in Belguim to comply with the Belgian Gaming Commision. The Commission declared back in April that loot boxes are a form of gambling, therefore, making it illegal in their region. No date has been given as to when the loot boxes will be removed. Blizzard also mentioned that they will be discussing the matter further with the appropriate authorities.

New Grenade Coming to Fortnite

Epic has announced the coming of a new grenade to Fortnite and it is the Shockwave Grenade. There is no specific release date, but it is listed as “coming soon”. Its description in the post reads: “send yourself, allies, or enemies flying like a human cannonball!” It also goes on to say that the Shockwave Grenades will make you immune to fall damage. In other news, the 5.30 content update is going live today across all of the game’s platforms – PC, PlayStation 4, XBox One, Nintendo Switch and mobile.

SCUM Becomes One of Most-Watched Games on Twitch Ahead of Release

A new battle royale game is slowly inching its way to the ranks of Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – and it’s not even out yet! The game is called SCUM, and it’s a new survival game, and is currently the third most popular game on Twitch. It will be out on Steam Early Access on August 29th. SCUM, unlike other battle royale games, has only 64 players max, and its map size does not shrink over time. Players will also need to eat, drink, learn to use their internal body temperature, and manage their metabolism.

Streets of Rage 4 Announced

The Sega Genesis classic Streets of Rage is making a comeback after 24 years! It is actually a brand new Streets of Rage game as it is labeled as Streets of Rage 4. A new trailer has been revealed to announce the game. As you are able to see in the video the game now sports new hand-drawn, anime-like style visuals. But even so, you will still know that the game is still Streets of Rage. No release date has been talked about yet. The game offers co-op with Blaze and Axel making a comeback.

CD Projekt Red Releases Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay

A weird Twitch livestream from CD Projekt Red led viewers to the much-anticipated gameplay reveal of Cyberpunk 2077. The gameplay lasted for almost an hour, and it was pretty much the same as the demo shown to members of the press during this year’s E3 and the recently concluded Gamescom. It showcased Night City as well as the game’s combat, destructible environments, and tons of dialogue. Despite the lengthy gameplay reveal, CD Projekt Red still has not announced a release date for the game.

Battlefield 5 Beta Details You Need to Take Note Of

Blizzard says the recently released World of Warcraft expansion Battle for Azeroth is the company’s best-selling day-one expansion. According to Blizzard, the expansion sold 3.4 million copies on its launch day, a little over the previously-released expansion, Legion. Blizzard did not say whether these numbers include sales from pre-orders. World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth released on August 13th and increases the level cap to 110, among other exclusive features.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Won’t Have Microtransactions

Fans fear that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice might have microtransactions once released, but FromSoftware has spoken and said that the game won’t be having such. A PR representative for the company confirmed this. The rumors about the game having microtransactions stemmed from the game’s listing on the UK PS Store, but it was apparently an error that will be fixed soon. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be available starting March 22nd for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Ashen Releases New Gameplay

Publisher Annapurna Interactive released a gameplay video for its upcoming action-RPG Ashen. The gameplay video showcased how players will take on enemies as well as how they can engage with the game’s world and lore. Ashen was announced back in E3 2015 and it’s been known for its challenging combat and visually striking world. It is expected to launch within this year on PC and Xbox One.

Also included in the pack are 5 new parallel quests, 8 additional skills, 4 costumes which are the Goku Wig from Ultra Instinct, Janemba Suit, Arabian Costume and 1 more not shown yet, as well as 2 super souls.

A new update will be coming to Call of Duty: World War II and it will come with a new Division called the Commando.
