Forza Horizon 4 Sets Sales Record for the Series

Microsoft’s open-world racing series Forza Horizon has reached another milestone. Its latest entry, Forza Horizon 4, reportedly has the best launch sales for the franchise, according to a report by the NPD Group. The game is the seventh best-selling game in the US for the month of September. The report includes both digital and retail sales across PC and Xbox One. Forza Horizon 4 is also the second best game on Xbox, right after NBA 2K19.

Resident Evil 2 Gets a Steelbook Edition Exclusive to Europe

Europe is getting an exclusive Steelbook Edition for Resident Evil 2! The Resident Evil Twitter account also announced that this edition will come bundles with Claire Redfield’s Elza Walker DLC outfit. Players in North America can also get the Elza Walker DLC through the game’s Deluxe Edition. Resident Evil 2 will be available starting January 25, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom’s First Huge DLC Details Revealed

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom released back in March, and the game is set to get its first major content update. The game’s developer, Level 5, is yet to provide a specific release date for the update, however, the company provided more details on what this update will bring. First of all, it’s called “Labyrinth of the Ghost King.” The biggest addition is a more difficult randomized dungeon called the Labyrinth. There will also be additions to the battle system, 80 new weapons and armor, and a slew of new quests.


RPG Card Game Ancient Enemy Announced

Grey Alien Games, in collaboration with Big Robot’s Jim Rossignol, has announced its upcoming game, the strategic RPG card game Ancient Enemies. The game will be launching on PC in 2019. The game features a faster, turn-based combat that focuses on players’ choices. The game also has an RPG-style inventory system where players keep their collectible cards. Ancient Enemies also features quests that are inspired by British mythology.


Point-and-Click Adventure Game NAIRI: Tower of Shirin Launches Next Month

A new point and click adventure from HomeBearStudio is here and it is called NAIRI: Tower of Shirin. The game will be launching on November 29th. NAIRI: Tower of Shirin offers stunningly beautiful graphics, a loveable cast, a strong narrative that is inspired by both Japanese anime and Disney Pixar. Characters are hand-drawn and are very charming, the story line will have you hooked, and the seamless puzzles will get your brain working. Fortnite’s Patch 6.20 Out Now

Fortnite’s patch version 6.20 is live now! This update brings the much awaited Fortnitemares limited-time event as well as some other content. The Fortnitemares event has spawned monsters thanks to the ever-evolving cube. The patch also added the new Fiend Hunter Crossbow for this limited-time event. Also included in the update are the new Six Shooter revolver. The Rocket Launcher also transformed into the Pumpkin Rocket launcher. The Glider Redeploy is also now available in all game modes.


Fear the Wolves’ Massive Fourth Patch Available Now

The fourth massive patch for the Battle Royale FPS Fear the Wolves is here. It brings with it a new weapon, enhancements, new looting rules and mechanisms and so much more. First off, the new weapon is the DMR SOK-94 sniper rifle, this is best for mid or long range. The upgrades mentioned are for the wolf behavior and balancing making them far more dangerous. Others are quality of life tweaks, the usual bug fixes and minor additions like the tutorial screens, drop experiences and so much more.


Dynasty Warriors 9 PC Patch Available Now, Free Trial Announced

KOEI Tecmo released a new patch for Dynasty Warriors 9 and also announced a free trial demo for the game. The latest patch updates the game’s version to 1.14 and adds background music from previous titles from the franchise. It also adds new bows, wallpaper, and functionality for two-player play both offline and online. The demo, on the other hand, will be available on November 1st and will allow players to select three from the 90 available characters in the game.


Dragon Quest 11 Achieves Best Launch Month in Franchise’s History

The NPD Group released its September sales report which revealed that Spider-Man is the top-selling game for the month. But some folks took to Twitter and was asking NPD’s Mat Piscatella about Dragon Quest 11. Piscatella replied and shared that Dragon Quest 11 had “the biggest launch month in franchise history with Dollar sales more than double the previous best, Dragon Quest 9. By the looks of it, it appears like the game is off to a great start.


First Details on Pont-and-Click Game Tormentum 2 Revealed

OhNoo Studio will be releasing a new point and click adventure game and it is called Tormentum 2. The game offers hand-drawn graphics and will take on the role of a game creator with an ambition to create a world with intelligent characters. You will be traveling to a vast land and encounter situations that will force you to make decisions that will test your morals. The game looks beautiful and haunting at the same time and if you are interested, get to have your own copy of the game by June 20, 2019.


The Sigma Theory Private Beta Launches on PC

Upcoming espionage strategy game The Sigma Theory, has launched a Private Beta for PC players. The beta is available for players who pre-ordered the game from the game’s website. An open beta is planned along the road, but details have not been provided at this time. The Sigma Theory is set during a future cold war, and players are tasked to recruit a team from 50 unique spies and field agents who are then ordered to conduct operations all over the world. The game will come to PC in 2019.

Hellgate London Returns to Steam Under New Publisher

Hellgate: London was previously released in 2007 but was shut down after over a year of its release because it had a lot of bugs, and it also had dubious business models. However, a Korean publishing company called Hanbitsoft bought the rights to the game, and published it as free-to-play in 2011 and became a success. It even had expansions for additional maps. This is fortunately heading to the west once again as it is now on Steam and has a November 15, 2018 release date.


Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle Gets Update This November

The Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle released for PC and consoles last month, and Capcom has announced that they will be rolling out a small update this November. This new update adds a selection of screen filters that will allow players to insert CRT-style scan lines to achieve an arcade-y look. Also added are new screen ratios, as well as online options which allow hosts to toggle whether they want other players to jump in the game mid-session.


Jump Force Release Date Confirmed

Bandai Namco’s manga-fighter game Jump Force will have you playing the most famous and the strongest characters in the Manga world. Players get to fight with characters from Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto and so much more. A release date has been confirmed for the game which is on February 15, 2019, and it will be happening simultaneously worldwide. The game will launch with Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star and also added in the roster is Ryo Saeba from City Hunter.


Alan Wake Returns to Digital Stores

Alan Wake fans rejoice! The cult classic horror game of the same name is back on Steam after a year of getting pulled out from sale. The game’s developer Remedy Entertainment announced the good news on Steam, and also added that it will be coming back to Xbox One very soon. Alan Wake was pulled from both physical and digital retailers because its music licenses have expired. The good thing was Microsoft stepped in and relicensed these and now the game is available again.


Fallout 76 BETA System Requirements Revealed

PC players will get their chance to hop in the Fallout 76 BETA on October 30th, and Bethesda has finally announced the system requirements to run the game. At minimum, the game requires Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X 3.5 GHz or equivalent CPU, 8GB RAM, 60GB of free disk space, and Nvidia GTX 780 3GB or AMD Radeon R9 285 2GB or equivalent GPU. Bethesda recommends an Intel Core i7-4790 3.6 GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X 3.5 GHz CPU and Nvidia GTX 970 4GB or AMD R9 290X 4GB GPU.


For Honor Kicks Off Seasonal Event Return of the Otherworld

The For Honor Halloween event has kicked off and will run up until November 8th. This event is available for all its platforms and it offers the Endless March Game Mode which is a 4 versus 4 Dominion mode. This will also come with an exclusive arcade weekly quest to fight skeletons as well as deadly Shamans to earn some exclusive cosmetic rewards. And during this time, there will also be a rotation of four different faction-based community orders. Plus of course exclusive loot and weapons.


Sea of Thieves Shrouded Spoils Expansion Coming in November

Sea of Thieves will be getting another update. In a developer update, executive producer Joe Neate announced that the new update is called Shrouded Spoils, and it gives pirates access to more ship customizations like cosmetic options for the wheel and cannon. The game’s world will now also be affected by an eerie fog that affects visibility. More details on Shrouded spoils will be released in November 10th during Microsoft’s XO18.


Rainbow Six Siege Halloween Event Underway

Ubisoft announced a new limited-time event for Rainbow Six Siege. The event is Halloween-themed, and its’ called Mad House. It is available now and will run until October 31st. The event adds a haunted variation of the House map, giving it a ghoulish glow and covering the walls with Halloween-themed decorations like cobwebs and spooky paintings. It also adds special skins to Operators Finka, Jager, Vigil, Thermite, Valkyrie, Pulse, Hibana, Mira, Buck, and Ash.


Team Sonic Racing Delayed

Team Sonic Racing has been delayed to May 21, 2019 as announced by Sega. The game was originally slated to launch in December 2018 but was pushed to a different date in order to “deliver the highest quality experience to fans” as well as “hone the title to enhance the player experience to ensure Team Sonic Racing delivers the best gameplay experience possible.” The game is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch and it will have 15 characters to choose from.


The Room Three Coming to PC

Puzzle game The Room is back with its third game and will be available on Steam on November 13th. The Room 3 features a complete visual overhaul for its PC version. Each and every asset of the game has been “re-built, re-textured, and re-lit in order to bring the mysterious world of The Room to life.” The Room 3 will continue with the tactile puzzle-solving gameplay that the series is known for.


Steam Boasts of 90 Million Monthly Active Users

Steam has reached a great feat as it now boasts 90 million active users according to the latest figures from Valve. In just little over a year, Steam was able to gain around 23 million active users. The previously logged amount was 67 million which was August 2017. A possible cause of all this is the launch of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in January that was able to peak at 18.5 million players. The daily user count had previously been 33 million which shot up to 47 million which is a 42 percent increase.
