SEPTEMBER 25 PART 1

2 New Death Stranding Characters Revealed

Two new characters were introduced by Hideo Kojima for their upcoming game Death Stranding during the Tokyo Game Show. The first character is wearing a mask and he is played by Tommie Earl Jenkins and is voiced by Akio Otsuka the same voice actor of Solid Snake. The second character was introduced with a mask as well and he is wearing a golden mask. He is played by Troy Baker and is voiced by Satoshi Mikami. Death Stranding will be available for PS4. No specific launch date is given as of yet.


Devolver Trolled Rockstar on Twitter about publishing Red Dead 2 on PC

Rockstar Games is still pretty insistent that Red Dead Redemption 2 will only be coming to Xbox One and PS4, something Devolver Digital doesn’t seem to think makes sense. So Devolver Digital made a few hilarious tweets while replying to Rockstar’s Twitter announcement for Red Dead Online’s beta. They started by saying that they’d like to publish the “cowboy game” on PC, then went on to say that they’re originally from texas and know their horses and guns. Unfortunately, Rockstar has not replied to any of the tweets.


Capcom Reveals Alternative Look for Dante through Concept Art

Devil May Cry 5 will launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by March 8th. But before that, Capcom was able to share with us a new look that Dante will be sporting in the game. This has been introduced during the Tokyo Game Show 2018 with some concept art by character designer Daigo Ikeno who was able to work on Devil May Cry 2 and 3 as well. The actor Adam Cowie had been the character model for Dante in Devil May Cry 5 and was scanned for it. Not only was the design for Dante shared but also his Devil Trigger.


Too Much Cybernetics will Cause “Cyberpsychosis” in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a system where players can augment their characters with cybernetic enhancements. Edge Magazine’s feature on the game has however revealed that players won’t be able to go wild with the cybernetics. It seems too much can cause “cyberpsychosis”, which in turn produces detrimental effects on your character’s mental health. Having to go around buying these upgrades will come with its own consequences as well, which drives home the idea that technology isn’t as liberating as we think.


Bandai Namco Debuted Opening Animation for God Eater 3 at TGS 2018

During a Special Stage event for God Eater 3 at Tokyo Game Show 2018, Bandai Namco announced that a limited-time action demo for the game will be free via the PlayStation Store in Japan. With the announcement, an opening animation for the game was shared as a sneak preview which had been produced by Ufotable. A gameplay footage had also been shared as well. Bandai Namco was also able to announce that the second official God Eater Orchestra Live will be held at the Pacifico Yokohama on August 28, 2019.


2 More Crossovers Incoming for Final Fantasy 15

During their Tokyo Game Show Livestream, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy 15 is bound for a few more crossovers. The first is with Horonobu Sakaguchi’s upcoming mobile game, Terra Wars, which will feature Sara from the Terra series. Second will be from Shadow of the Tomb Raider, where themed outfits and music for the Regalia’s radio will be added in. Lastly, more cosmetic items will be added in with the crossover with DJ Nobunaga. All of these arrive on September 25th.


Left Alive gets Its First Gameplay Video

Square Enix revealed the first ever gameplay footage for their upcoming game Left Alive during this year’s Tokyo Game Show. The company released 4 different videos which show the game’s dialogue scenes, combat, and dialogue choices among other features. Left Alive is set to be released for PC and Playstation 4 on February 28th in Japan, while a Western release is set sometime in 2019. Swuare Enix also said they are considering releasing the game in other platforms in the future aside from PC and PS4.


Shadow of the Tomb Raider Shipped with a Different Ending

A different post-credit cutscene was added to Shadow of the Tomb Raider by mistake, as confirmed by Eidos Montreal. The different post-credit cutscene can be seen by players who were not able to download the game’s day one patch. Eidos Montreal said they considered having multiple post-credits cutscenes for the game, but the said cutscene discovered without the day one patch was not supposed to be in the game, and was just added by mistake.


SoulCalibur 6 to Hold Network Test on Consoles

SoulCalibur 6 is set to have its Network Test! Announced through the game’s official Twitter account, the SoulCalibur 6 network test is scheduled to take place starting September 28th, Friday, 5PM CEST / 8AM PST, and will end October 1st, Monday, at 5AM CEST. The network test is available for Playstation 4 and Xbox One and will let players try the online versus mode.


Devil May Cry 5 will Feature Some Sort of Multiplayer

Devil May Cry 5 will have a multiplayer mode. Although Capcom is yet to announce this feature, a listing on Playstation Store revealed the online multiplayer mode which will be available for two to three players. The playable characters are Dante, Nero, and V. Capcom is still mum about this but it looks like the multiplayer mode will be horde-style co-op, where players will face waves of enemies.


Final 8 Teams in Blizzcon’s Overwatch World Cup Finals Revealed

The full list of teams that will be facing off in the Overwatch World Cup finals during this year’s BlizzCon have been revealed! Teams in Bracket One are: Team France, Team Canada, Team China, and Team Finland. In Bracket Two are: Team US, Team UK, Team South Korea, and Team Australia. Winners of the first two matches in each bracket will compete for a spot for the semi-finals, leading to the road to the finals in this year’s BlizzCon.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season May Still Continue

It may be possible that the Walking Dead: The Final Season will be completed after all. Telltale Games was able to share in a Tweet that there were multiple potential partners that were looking to help the studio finish The Final Season. Although, the studio is not making any promises and they are looking for other solutions in order to complete both episode 3 and episode 4 of the season. Episode 2 as promised will be released today. The very first episode of the game came out August of this year.


Farming Simulator 19 Gets Only One John Deere Combine

GIANTS Software confirmed that Farming Simulator 19 will only get one John Deere combine harvester. Fans of the game began questioning GIANTS Software whether other John Deere combines will be added to the game as they only saw one in the new gameplay trailer. Community Manager Lars “Lisertan” Malcharek has confirmed that there will only be one. Fans of the game may find this disappointing as some have been really excited when news of John Deere equipment will be added to the game.


Forza Horizon 4 Has Immortal Sheep

Forza Horizon 4 will have immortal sheep as YouTuber, Mark Brown points out in his one minute video. Brown apparently took his vehicle off-road and attempted to run over the flock of sheep in the field and he was not able to hit or even kill any of them. If you are old enough to remember the dog in Duck Hunt that you cannot kill, well we can add the sheep to the list of the immortal animals in video games. Forza Horizon 4 will officially launch on October 2nd and will be available for PC and Xbox One.


Lego DC Super Villains Character List Revealed

The full list of characters for LEGO DC Super Villains has been revealed. There are around 165 characters in the game, not including the custom characters. The game’s roster includes villains like Joker, Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Penguin, Deadshot, Lobo, Red Hood, as well as the Teen Titans. Also includes are Mallah, Jinx, Mr Mxyzptlk, Silver Banshee, Psycho Pirate, The Shade, and B’dg the Green Lantern Squirrel, and much, much more. LEGO DC Super Villains will launch October 16th.


Black Ops 4 Gameplay Showcases All Three Modes

A new gameplay trailer has been released for Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and it features all the three modes available in the game namely the Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout. The Multiplayer mode offers the best tactical depth of the franchise to date which is set between Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3. The Zombies mode offers three full Zombies experiences and is the biggest zombie offering ever. The Blackout mode is the newest of the two which offers a Battle Royale experience to players.


Star Wars Battlefront 2 Squad System Revamp Live Now

A new update for Star Wars Battlefront 2 includes a change to the game’s Squad System, among other changes and fixes. Players who are playing with friends will automatically be placed together in a squad. The new Squad System now loads players back to their group after their soldier is killed. Players will be able to toggle between all surviving squad members and decide who they want to respawn on. The new system also allows two friends to play in private two vs. two Hero Showdown matches.


Battlerite Royale Heads Into Early Access This Week

The standalone battle royale spin-off of the MOBA brawler Battlerite, Battlerite Royale, is heading into Steam Early Access on September 26th, Wednesday! Developer Stunlock Studios released a trailer which showcases how an average match unfolds in the game. Players will start by dropping off from the sky and slamming on to the ground. They will then gather loot by destroying orbs. Fights will keep on going until the playable area gets smaller. The game will be in Early Access for six months.


Warface Has 1.3 Million Registered Players in Its First Week on PS4

Crytek’s Warface which released last week for the PlayStation 4 was able to get at least one point three million players worldwide. Officially the figure given is the number of players that have signed on to the game since it debuted on September 18th. Publisher Mail.Ru broke down the regions who registered and came up with 20 percent from the United States, 12.5 percent from Germany, 11.2 percent from France, 7.7 percent from the UK, 6.4 percent from Brazil and 5 percent from Russia.


Red Dead Redemption 2 Showcases Hunting, Fishing, and Wildlife

Rockstar released a new feature in its website, showcasing how fishing and hunting works in the game as well as its wildlife. The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 has more than 200 species of animals, bird, and fish which players can come across and interact with. The game’s wildlife will add an extra challenge for players as they may come across poisonous snakes, or even wild wolves. Players can also hunt animals, and even fish – both of which are essential skills to survive in the wild.

Epic Releases First Teaser for Fortnite Season 6 Featuring DJ Llama

The very first teaser for Fortnite’s Season 6 has been released by Epic and it can be found in Twitter which is a single image that has the purple theme with lightning – remember the purple cube? The image seems like a robotic lama wearing a hoodie and a DJ headset on his head. It has a caption of “all great parties need a DJ”. There will more teasers and clues available as Season 5 comes to a close and Season 6 begins on September 27th. So for now, we would have to wait and create our conclusions about it.


Guild Wars 2’s In-Game Currency Not Available in Belgium

Players of Guild Wars 2 in Belguim are not able to purchase gems which is the premium currency in the game. This started last September 19th where players were attempting to purchase the gems and were given an error message. This may be in line with the Belgian Gaming Commission banning paid loot boxes saying that it is a ‘game of chance’ thus constituting gambling. The gems can still be earned by playing the game though. The developers of Guild Wars 2 were not able to comment on the issue as of yet.
