Red Dead Redemption 2 is 2018’s Top Selling Game – NPD Group
Red Dead Redemption 2 was the best-selling game of 2018. This comes from a report released by NPD Group’s Mat Piscatella. Interestingly though, Rockstar’s open-world western could not beat Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during its launch month in December. Ultimate got top 5 in the top sellers chart. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 came in second, but Piscatella noted on Twitter that they did not track the game’s PC digital sales and that “made all the difference to the rankings”.
Demon’s Souls Creator Doesn’t Want to Remaster the Game, But He’d be OK with Another Studio Doing It
Demon’s Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki says that he’d be OK with the game getting a remaster. It however seems that he doesn’t really want to do it himself. In an interview with Game Informer, he said that he doesn’t like to look at his previous works. But, if there was “a studio that really loved the original work” that wanted to “put their heart and soul” into a remaster, then it might be something Miyazaki would enjoy. It’s really up to publisher Sony though. Still, we can’t help but hope.
