Three Conan Games Available to Play for Free This Weekend

Celebrating the Conan franchise, Funcom has all three titles of the game available to play for free on Steam up until September 23rd. The games available are Conan Exiles, Age of Conan: Unchained, and Conan Unconquered. If you do decide to purchase the game, there are great discounts available for it available a week after its free to play weekend. Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game, Age of Conan: Unchained is an MMO, and Conan: Unconquered is a real-time survival strategy game.


New Total War Saga Game Announced

A new Total War Saga game called Total War Saga: Troy has been announced. The game will follow the heroic legacy of the late Bronze Age. Players will be playing as the Aegean civilization as you shape the lands of the iconic locations like Mount Olympus and the deserts of Lemnos. Troy offers a rich myth having legends, gods, and monsters. Legendary warriors like Achilles and Hector will be there as well. Total War Saga: Troy will be launching by November 27, 2020, available to be played on Windows PC.


For Honor Wrath of the Jormungandr Event Announced

A new in-game event for the fast-paced game For Honor has been announced and it is the Wrath of the Jormungandr event. This is for the Year 3 Season 3 of the game and it will run up until October 3rd at 6 AM PT only. The event will come with the limited-time game mode called Ragnarok that will transform the Breach game mode. Players will be able to wield The Might Hammer changing the movesets of each character as well as adding new special abilities which are the Chain Lightning and the Ground Smash.


Sparklite Launch Date Announced

The action-adventure game that is set in a whimsical world with an ever-changing land called Sparklite has announced its launch date. The game offers a top-down action where players can use a variety of gadgets, guns and gears. In this procedurally generated world, players are able to explore all dangerous corners as well as take down the big bosses of the mining industry in order to save the Sparklite. The game is announced to launch this November 14th and is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.


Tangle Tower Out Now for PC and Switch

Get to uncover the secrets of Tangle Tower as it has announced its launch date to be on October 10th arriving to PC and Nintendo Switch. Find out who has murdered Freya Fellow in the strange and twisted mansion of Tangle Tower. Discover all the clues and question the unusual suspects and solve the unique puzzles in the game. Explore the mansion from its strange gardens to the different room as well as the eerie crime scene. The game is now available on Steam and the Nintendo eShop for £15.49.


Borderlands 3’s First In-Game Event Revealed

Gearbox has revealed the first in-game limited time event for Borderlands 3. The event is called Bloody Harvest, and it is set to start in late October. The event is free for players who left Pandora for the first time and have access to Sanctuary III. Bloody Harvest will be adding a new mission where players will run into haunted enemies who apply the debuff Terror which partially impairs the player’s vision and affect aiming. The event also adds the new boss Captain Haunt and a new area called Heck.


Voting for Golden Joystick Awards 2019 Now Open

Voting is now open for the 37th Golden Joystick Awards! From now until October 24th, you can cast your vote for your favorite nominated games across 17 categories which include Still Playing Award, Most Wanted Game, and Game of the Year Awards for different platforms. By October 25th, voting will open for the Ultimate Game of the Year award. Those who cast their votes will receive instructions to claim a free ebook worth 9.99 Pounds.


Luigi’s Mansion 3 Getting Paid DLC

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is set to launch on October 31st just in time for Halloween. The game will also be getting two paid multiplayer DLCs called ScareScraper and ScreamPark multiplayer modes. ScareScraper will task eight players to complete objectives in each floor of a towering skyscraper by working together. The other mode, ScreamPark, also supports eight players. The mode will have Team Luigi race against Team Gooigi, where the team with the most number of ghosts sucked up and the most number of coins before the timer runs out will win.


Adventure Game From Oxenfree Devs Arriving in October

Night School Studio, the team behind Oxenfree, has announced its next game, Afterparty. The game will be available starting October 29th for PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Afterparty stars the protagonists Lola and Milo, two best friends who were recently deceased and are in Hell. Their objective is to outdrink the devil himself so he will grant them a re-entry to Earth.


Project Resistance to Offer Offline Single-Player Mode

Project Resistance was announced as an online multiplayer game, but players who wish to take on the game solo will be happy to know that the game also has something in store for them. Project Resistance will allow players to play offline and focus on the game’s “narrative component.” The game’s producer Kawata Masachika did not go into details about the single-player mode at this time. The game will also be kicking off its closed beta in a couple of weeks.


Cube World Finally Gets a Release Date

Developer Wolfram von Funck has finally announced the release date of Cube World, after seven years in development. The game will be launching on September 30th, and will be available on Steam. Cube World is a voxel-based action RPG which also focuses on exploration. The game features four different classes, action-based combat, “a nearly infinite, procedurally-generated fantasy world,” and a lot more.


Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate’s Western Release Date Confirmed

Koei Tecmo has confirmed Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate’s western release date. The game will be launching on February 14, 2020. The announcement includes a trailer which also confirms Ryu Hayabusa, Achilles, and Hades as part of the game’s cast. Koei Tecmo also presented the game’s Japanese theme which was sung by popular Japanese actress Saori Hayami.


Square Enix Announces Physical Switch Versions for FF7 and FF8 Remastered

Square Enix has announced a Nintendo Switch bundle for the remasters of Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 8. The bundle will be arriving as a physical version, and will include both English and Japanese dialogue options. Currently the bundle is slated to be released in Asia. Square Enix is yet to announce other regions. As for its release date, Square Enix has not mentioned specifically when it will be available, but it will come out later this year.


John Wick Hex Announced, to Launch October 8th

Bithell Games has announced John Wick Hex, a strategy game straight out of the movie franchise. The game is set to launch on October 8th, and will be an Epic Games Store exclusive. Unfortunately, Keanu Reeves won’t be featured in the game, however, Ian McShane and Lance Reddick will be voicing over their characters from the movie. The villain hex will be voiced by voice actor Troy Baker. According to the developer, Joh Wick Hex will be a strategy experience similar to XCOM.


Petoons Party Available Now

Petoons Studio has announced that its local party game Petoons Party is out now on Nintendo Switch. Petoons Party supports up to four players in local multiplayer. It features 28 mini-games, four boards, and three game modes. The game also stars seven Petoons who are out to save their island Kimera from the evil Kitra. Petoons Party first launched for PC and PlayStation 4. It will soon be launching for Xbox One as well.


Netflix Series “Last Kids on Earth” Coming to PC and Consoles

The Netflix series The Last Kids on Earth now has a video game version, and bears the same title. The game is expected to launch in 2021 and will be available for players on consoles and PC. The Last Kids on Earth will feature the series’ protagonists Jack, June, Quint, and Dirk as they “partake in thrilling apocalyptic adventures throughout Wakefield — with both familiar and new monsters and zombies.”


Frostpunk and Children of Morta Heading to Consoles

11 Bit Studios has announced that its 2019 flagship games Frostpunk and Children of Morta are both heading to consoles. Both games will be launched in digital and physical versions, with a regular retail version, and limited Signature Editions. Frostpunk will will be launching on PS4 and Xbox One on October 11th, while Children of Morta will launch on October 15th for Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.


WB Games Montreal Teases New Batman Game

In celebration of World Batman Day, WB Games Montreal has released a teaser through its official Twitter account, hinting that a new Batman game is in the works. The tweet comes with a video of the Bat Symbol against a building’s wall, and with a closer look, you will see four different images quickly flashing on screen. We have to wait for official word from the developers themselves whether this is about a new game, or not.


Apex Legends Players Report Performance Issues After Update on PC

Apex Legends players on PC have reported a drop on frame rates since the game’s latest update rolled out. On the Apex Legends subreddit, one user said it happened right after the patch and went away after 2+ days without him doing anything at all. He added that it’s back, and said, “I can’t get more than 45 FPS in some zones when I’m usually at 85 FPS everywhere. I have no idea what’s happening.” Respawn is yet to respond to these reports.


Hunt: Showdown Officially Available on Xbox One

Hunt: Showdown has left Xbox Game Preview is has now officially launched on Xbox One. Also available now is the game’s first DLC, Legends of the Bayou which comes with two new Legendary Hunter characters, two unique weapons, and 500 Blood Bonds. The game can be purchased as a bundle with the DLC, or you can opt to purchase both separately.


Epic Confirms Batman Crossover in Fortnite, Now Underway

The Batman Crossover Event is Fortnite has now become official after dataminers leaked it last week. With the crossover event, Tilted Town is now Gotham City, and a “Caped Crusader Pack” which contains cosmetics and weapons has been made available for players until October 6th. The crossover event also brings other free rewards and challenges which will be available until October 1st.


Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Reveals New Fighter

Square Enix has announced that they will be revealing a new character for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT on September 24th. The reveal will be done through a livestream at Square Enix’s official YouTube account which will start at 8:00 PM, Japan Time. Rumors say that the new character will be Vivi from Final Fantasy IX and Zack Fair from Final Fantasy VII. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is currently available on PC and PlayStation 4.
