Team Fortress 2’s 2008 Throwback Mod Heading to Steam

Team Fortress 2 is having a throwback! Valve has given the TF-2008 team the green light to list XYK’s Team Fortress 2008 mod. This mod “reverts the game back to its 2008 version.” This mod is designed for players who prefer the game without most of the later updates and want the simpler interface. The mod is set to be released on Steam on January 11, 2019.


Kingdom Hearts 3 Playable at XO18

Kingdom Hearts fans rejoice! Xbox Mexico has announced on Twitter that the long time coming Kingdom Hearts 3 will be playable at XO 2018. The upcoming Square Enix and Disney crossover has been making rounds at every major gaming event since this year’s E3 and will be one of the most anticipated third-party titles to grace the Xbox event. XO 2018 is slated to start in early November while Kingdom Hearts 3 will finally be launching on January 25th for Xbox One and PS4.


Vampyr Coming to the Switch

After a successful launch back in June, Focus Home Interactive is bringing Vampyr to the Nintendo Switch. The game was originally released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One only. Focus Home Interactive stated that their Q3 plans include bringing the game to the Switch in order to “maximize the potential of the Vampyr license” and to also reach a wider audience. The company did not provide details on when it will be released on the Switch.


Our World is Ended Heads West in 2019

The visual novel about game developers Our World is Ended is heading west and will be available sometime in 2019. This visual novel will let players follow a group of young game developers that are known as Judgement 7. This bunch created a game which puts users in an augmented reality experience that caused their world to change. It features nearly 40 hours of content and takes place in the Asakusa district of Tokyo among other locations. The game will be made available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.


Black Ops 4 Gets Halloween Gestures

Activision has posted a video on Twitter that gives players a peek at the new gestures coming to Call of Duty Black Ops 4 as part of its Halloween event. The gestures include throwing away sweets from a pumpkin, conjuring a floating skull, and even having bats come out from behind the player. The event has been live for a few days already on Playstation 4 but PC and Xbox One players will only be able to join in on the festivities today.


World War 3 Early Access Sells Over 100,000 Copies in 48 Hours

The Farm 51 has announced an impressive milestone for their first-person shooter, World War 3. The game sold over one hundred thousand copies within 48 hours of its Early Access launch on Steam. Although the game experienced network issues during its first few days, community support has been great. The devs say they’ll be giving out in-game goodies as compensation and will continue to work on the problems while taking player feedback into account.


Layers of Fear 2 Announced

Bloober Team has revealed its new game, and it’s none other than the project that was given the code name Project Melies. We now know that the new game is actually Layers of Fear 2, and judging from the teaser trailer the creators released, it looks like Layers of Fear 2 will have the same creepy flavor as the first game. The game does not have an exact release date at this time, and we can expect to know more about the game soon.


Black Desert Open Beta Announced

Black Desert will be holding an Open Beta for its Xbox One version to be held from November 8th to 12th. The Xbox One version is said to be built from the ground up for the console and will feature console-exclusive gameplay elements. If you can’t wait for November and can drop by the ongoing TwitchCon 2018 in California, you can sample the MMORPG’s console gameplay in Booth 1711 at the Pearl Abyss Lounge. Black Desert Online is already out on PC. You try it for free for 7 days.


PES 2019 Data Pack 2.0 Available Now

Konami has just released Data Pack 2.0 for Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. The new pack will update several players and add the Chinese Football Association Super League and the TOYOTA Thai League. 9 new boots will also be added and Stade Louis II will now be available in both night and afternoon modes. There’s also a lot of gameplay improvements included such as improved goalkeeper AI in 1v1 situations, adjusted accuracy for chip shots, and improved accuracy for headers on-goal.


Swords and Soldiers 2 Shawarmageddon Multiplayer Beta Open to Everyone

Swords and Soldiers 2 Shawarmageddon is a side-scrolling RTS from Awesomenauts. It was first launched for the Wii U in 2015 and it will be arriving for the PC and PlayStation 4 on November 6th. The game currently has a beta which is running up until November 4th. Choose from the three factions which are the Vikings, Persians, and the Demons. Battle with customizable armies, play the 10-hour single-player campaign and finish all 45 levels that are set in Hell, deserts, forests, and tundra.


Kingdom Come Deliverance Gets New 10GB Patch

Watch out Kingdom Come Deliverance players! A massive ten gigabyte update is incoming for Warhorse Studios’ medieval RPG. The patch will update your game to version 1.7.1 and will introduce bug fixes to allow players to fully enjoy The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon DLC and the free Tournament update. A few adjustments have also been made to make some quests easier to get. The patch should start to download the next time you start Steam.

Resident Evil Classics Coming To The Nintendo Switch

Fans of Resident Evil who owns a Nintendo Switch, rejoice! Capcom recently announced in a Tweet that three of their classic Resident Evil titles are coming to the portable console sometime in 2019. The games are Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4. No exact date was given but it will be by next year. The very first Resident Evil was released way back in 1996 and it was one of the games that defined the survival horror genre for video games and has since been released in multiple platforms.


Play Half-Life As Spyro The Dragon

It is the Year of the Dragon in Half-Life! An insanely talented modder named Magic_Nipples was able to recreate the complete Half-Life game and have Spyro the Dragon replace Gordan Freeman as the protagonist. Not only will you play the cute purple character, but his movesets had also been added to the game, meaning you will be able to glide, charge and breath fire in Half-Life. This mod right now is in early access and players are able to download and play this Office Complex demo over at the ModDB.


Ark Survival Evolved Lunches On November For Switch

The ever so popular dinosaur-themed survival game, Ark: Survival Evolved will be coming to Nintendo Switch as announced by Studio Wildcard. The announcement was made back in March but was recently given an exact release date. The porting was done with the help of the studio Abstraction Games. They promise to give an authentic Ark: Survival Evolved game on the portable console. The Switch version will have the original Island map and 100 plus creatures and is set to launch on November 30th.


Two Point Hospital Adds New Mode

A freeplay mode is coming to the simulator Two Point Hospital and it is particularly a sandbox scenario mode. This will come as a free update for the game as announced by developers Oddball A&E. This mode will allow you to change the settings of a level that includes the patient flow, cash and more. You will also get to unlock all other upgrades. New features include a copy and paste ability for the rooms as well as the chance to change employee names as well as choose their uniforms.


Virtus Pro Fires Social Media Rep Because Of Offensive Tweet

An offensive tweet prompted eSports organization Virtus Pro to terminate its relationship with individuals who have been managing its social media handles. eSports presenter Redeye spotted the said tweet and called it out, saying it “feels inappropriate.” Virtus.pro General Manager Roman Dvoryankin replied and apologized on behalf of the organization, and said they’re taking measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again.


New Karaoke Streaming Game Twitch Sings In The Works

Twitch and Harmonix have partnered together for a new game called Twitch Sings. This game will bring karaoke to livestreams. Twitch CEO and co-founder Emmett Shear announced this at the opening of TwitchCon and described the game as a “new category of game that’s made to be streamed.” It features hundreds of songs that both streamers and audiences can use to make performances together. The game is currently in closed beta, and is accepting sign-ups on its website. It will launch on PC later this year.


Destiny 2 Update Improves Quality of Life

Destiny 2 will be getting a new update which will include quality of life improvements. Among those included are changes to drop rates of Exotics. The update changes how the game creates random drops and increases the chance that players will get Exotics they don’t have yet. It also changes the chances they get duplicate ones. Although it won’t be totally eliminated, Bungie said they’re working on tweaking drop rates so it will be less annoying if you ever get duplicate ones. New “How to Hitman” Video Brings Back “The Briefcase”

The latest installment in Io Interactive’s How to Hitman series has revealed the return of “the Briefcase” in Hitman 2. Yes, Agent 47 will be using a briefcase once again. This very important tool will allow Agent 47 to conceal a huge variety of items, except the sniper rifle of course. Hitman 2’s briefcase, though is “new and improved” and can now be used to knock down opponents or distract observers. This and more are coming to Hitman 2 when it launches November 20th!


MediEvil Will Be a Full Remake

The remake of MediEvil is heading to PlayStation 4 on October 31st, and Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden has revealed an important detail about the game. Layden clarified that MediEvil will not simply be a remaster, rather it is a remake of the game from the ground up. Layden added that they took the original game design, the key art, and some other attributes and worked with a developer called Other Ocean Interactive and remade the game in the original MediEvil from PS1.


Overwatch Halloween Skins Available

Halloween has come in Overwatch! The Overwatch Halloween Terror event runs until October 31st, and until then, here are the new skins which players can purchase with their credits: Legendary skins, which cost 3000 credits include Swamp Master Doomfist, Banshee Moira, Enchanted Armor Pharah, Slasher 76: Soldier: 76, Bride Sombra, and Jack-O’-Lantern Wrecking Ball. Epic skins costing 750 credits include Undead McCree, Pumpkin Mei, and Spider Widowmaker.
