Changes to Blackout Announced After Beta

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be launching on October 12th for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. The game’s battle royale mode, Blackout, will also be launching along with the game. And now that the Blackout beta is over, Treyarch has announced that some changes will be coming to the Blackout mode. Changes will be coming specifically to armor, audio adjustments, inventory and item management, and Xbox One performance. These were based from the feedback gathered during the beta. Halo Infinitie to Include Microtransactions and Anti-Cheat Measures

According to some online job listings, it looks like Halo Infinite will have microtransactions as well as some anti-cheat plans. The job listings posted were for ‘Online Experince Design Director’ and a ‘Senior Software Development Engineer’. The job description of the Online Experience Design Director is to “design and deliver a AAA social experience that fosters the community”. While the Senior Software Development Engineer will work on “PC client anti-cheat and security features”.

Horror Game Silver Chains Announced

Developer Cracked Head Games has announced their upcoming horror game Silver Chains, which they created in partnership with Headup Games. Silver Chains will be released in Spring 2019, and will be available for PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. The game is set in the Victorean era, and players will take the role of the main character Peter who wakes up in an English manor after an accident. He tries to escape, but he stumbles upon disturbing secrets, and discover clues that it is not the first time that he is there.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Store Sales are Down By 70%

The Shadow of the Tomb Raider physical sales in the UK is not doing great as compared to the 2013 reboot and is down 70%. The game released just last week and it seems that the game’s physical sales are not catching up with the 2013 reboot and it is being outperformed by Insomniac’s Spider-Man. The digital sales are not doing that great to as compared to the Rise of the Tomb Raider which had a peaked player count of more that 44,000 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider having just under 38,000.

Street Fighter 5 Halloween DLC Costumes Announced

Capcom announced the Street Fighter V’s Halloween 2018 DLC through an announcement trailer! Halloween is just around the corner and we get to dress out favorite characters in Halloween costumes! For the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition we will get an Abigail killer cyclops, a Falke shinigami, a Kolin witch and a Guile zombie. Each costume would cost around $3.99 each but a bundle cost has not been announced yet. Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is available for PC and PlayStation 4.

Fear The Wolves’ Third Update Live Now

The third update for Fear The Wolves is live now on Steam Early Access. This update includes additional content, optimizatiom, and bug fixes to the battle royale game. The update also includes 10 new languages, different types of kills, new customization options, toggles for movement keys, and more. Fear The Wolves is currently in early access and is a battle royale game that involves surviving not only from other players, but also from wolves in the map.

New Killer7 Trailer Shows Characters

Killer7 by Goichi “SUDA51” Suda will launch this Fall and it has a new trailer from NIS America and it features three of the game’s characters in action. Feast your eyes on Gracian “The Cleaner” Smith with his Resurrection ability, Dan “The Hellion” Smith using his Collateral Shot ability as well as Kevin “Four-Eyes” Smith with his Invisibility ability. If you didn’t know, Killer7 originally launched in 2005 for the Gamecube and PS 2 directed by SUDA51 and published by Hiroyuki Kobayashi.

Cloud9 Has Secured a Place in League of Legends World Championships

Pro eSports team Cloud 9 has secured a spot in the League of Legends World Championships, as they emerged victorious over TSM during the North American League Championship Series Regional Qualifier. They had a sweeping 3-0 victory over TSM. The team can now advance to the League of Legends World Championships, which also gives them a chance to take home a hefty sum of prize money.

Rocket League’s Hot Wheels Triple Threat DLC Pack to Launch Next Week

Rocket League is getting a new DLC as announced by Psyonix and Hot Wheels in a new trailer! This is the Hot Wheels Triple Threat DLC which will be coming to all the game’s platforms on September 24th. This will include three premium battle cars – Gazella GT, MR11, and Fast 4WD, four unique decals, and three toppers – Gorilla, Snake, and Spider. Some free content will also be available for all players which are the new Hot Wheels Rivals Arena and the Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary-themed customization items.

LawBreakers is Gone for Good

Cliff Bleszinski’s LawBreakers from Boss Key Productions has now been shut down. This had been announced back in June and for a short while, fans of the game thought that it could come out as a free-to-play game but, sadly that would not be the case. Josh Rife, the senior environment artist announced that the game’s servers are “officially closed for good” via a tweet. LawBreakers has already been removed on Steam, clicking on the still available store page link will just reroute you to the front page.

Amazon’s New World MMO Shows Off Diverse Locations

Amazon shows off the different locations players can traverse on in their upcoming MMO New World. Screenshots of these diverse locations were released, and shows locations such as woodland, mountain ranges, and more. In terms of gameplay, New World promises a variety of different features such as crafting and clan battles. The game does not have a release date at this time, but a closed alpha will be available for players who will sign up through its website.


Ghost Recon Wildlands Free to Play This Weekend

Got nothing to do this weekend? Well, Ubisoft has got your back with a free to play Ghost Recon: Wildlands. It will be available for all its platforms which are PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This free weekend play will be available starting September 20th and will only be available up until the 23rd and will include the full game as well as the PvP and PvE missions. We are assuming that your progress will carry over once you purchase the game. Speaking of, the game is available at a discount price as well.

Madden 19 is the Best-Selling Game for August

Madden 19 proves to be a very popular game as it received some record-breaking sales for the month of August making this the biggest launch in the history of Madden since Madden 13. For the year of 2018, Madden 19 is ranked 4th as the best selling game of the year. This, however, should not come as a surprise as Madden was the biggest seller for the month of August since 2000 according to NPD Analyst Mit Piscatella. This happend every single year except for 2011 and 2012 since the game launched in Septmber.

Rocket League Season 9 Kicks Off Next Week

Rocket League’s Season 9 is launching next week, September 24th which is a Monday! This will release at the same time for all of its platforms. The new season will come with new features like the Extra Modes which was the previous Ranked Sports. This will bring the Dropshot, Hoops, Rumble, and Snow Day to the Rank-based Competitive Playlist. A new soundtrack will also be included which is the Rocket League x Monstercat Vol. 4. Another thing that Season 9 brings is the Hot Wheels Triple Threat DLC pack.

Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition Announced for PC and PS4

Resonance of Fate which is known as a game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is getting a 4K/HD edition which will be available for the PC and the PlayStation 4. The game was first launched in 2010 and was originally published by Sega. Sega confirmed that they licensed the game to Tri-Ace to make the HD remaster. The game’s base model will run at 1080p with 60 frames per second and 4K is available for PC and PlayStation 4 Pro. Resonance of Fate 4K/HD Edition will be available for $35 on October 18th.

Fortnite Season 6 Could Start Next Week

Fortnite’s Season 5 is about to end after 10 weeks of challenges. Season 6 is just around the corner, and although Epic Games has not announced when it will begin, all signs indicate that it will start next week. Season 5 ends on Tuesday, September 25th and based on past seasons, the new season begins just after the previous season ends. Epic is fairly quiet these days and has not teased anything about what’s to come in the new season, so we’ll have to stay tuned until we get more details.

Heritage Armor Added to World of Warcarft in New Patch

In a recent livestream by Blizzard, World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas that there will be plenty of changes that will be coming to the game, and the most exciting of these is the addition of two Heritage armor sets for old races. Old races can start earning Heritage armor sets starting in patch 8.1. This will start for Dwarves and Blood Elves. Patch 8.1, also called Tides of Vengeance, is set to be released later this year.

Pro Player Amada Retires From Super Smash Bros Solo Competition

Professional Super Smash Bros. Melee player Adam “Armada” Lindgren, who’s considered as one of the best players to ever play Super Smash Bros., has announced that he will be retiring from competitive singles tournament. He cited motivation issues as the main reason for retiring. He added that he simply doesn’t have any more goals to compete in solo competition. Lindgren started his eSports career back in 2009.

Blizzard Stops Development on Hearthstone Tournament Mode

The previously announced Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft’s Tournament Mode will be placed on hold as announced by Blizzard. According to the company, they felt that the new planned mode will only cater to a small number of players. Although this is the case, Blizzard still believes that having the tournaments is “an important part” of the game’s social features. The developers will not necessarily close the door to this feature but will be placed on hold for a possible future release.

GTA Online Adversary Mode is Back

GTA Online’s Running Back Adversary Mode is back this week. The mode’s main goal of reaching the end zone still remains the same, but this time upgraded Tezeracts oppose and flank the “pocket-sized hatchback Runner.” The mode includes 7 Running Back tracks which players can try. Players will also get double GTA Dollars and RP from now through October 1st. Players who also login between now and September 24th will get to unlock the Santo Capra Coins Livery for the HVY Menacer & Pegassi Oppressor Mk II.

SCUM Has Sold 1 Million

SCUM has reached another sales milestone! This detail-oriented survival game has reached one million sales after its debit in Steam Early Access last month. This is quite impressive, and as previously reported, the game is Devolver Digital’s “biggest launch ever.” The game’s sales are thanks to its low price point, plus how impressively good the game is. We are yet to see how long the game can keep its peak sales.

Destiny 2’s Sleeper Simulant Gun to Get Nerfed

The new mode in Destiny 2’s Forsaken DLC called Gambit pits two teams of four together with the invading team usually choosing the Sleeper Simulant as the gun of choice. This weapon is so popular since it is fun and effective to use. Bungie, however, said that they believe that the gun is too strong in Gambit and it will be nerfed soon enough. They do plan to keep the weapon’s strength but just tweak a few things about it so that it will not be the only power weapon that is available in Gambit.
