Ghost Recon Wildlands Gets New Mercenaries Mode
Ubisoft has unveiled the final update coming to Ghost Recon Wildlands. This update brings a new mode to the game — Mercenaries. Mercenaries plays like a battle royale mode, and it limited to 8 players. In Mercenaries, players will spawn and must gather equipment, find an extraction point, and extract themselves — all these while fighting against other players. Those who complete at least one match will get a “Lone Wolf” costume.
MADievals Now on Steam Early Access
Point-and-click adventure game MADievals is now available on Steam Early Access. Players will play as Rusty Steelknee, a fearless knight who’s on a hunt for precious relics. The game is set in Realm of Manzasun, a mysterious place that’s been afflicted by a curse and surrounded by a terrible darkness. The game features puzzles for Rusty to solve, plus a fascinating story that’s full of “absurd and zany scenarios.”
Summer Catchers Launches on PC
Endless runner game Summer Catchers is now on PC. It is currently available on Steam. Summer Catchers lets players go on a road trip as the protagonist Chu. She is “a young girl from northern lands who has never seen summer.” Aboard her wooden car, Chu will travel to distant lands as she completes her quest of finally seeing summer. She will also face strange creatures along the way. The game is playable in co-op, or solo.
Xenon Racer Gets Third Free Content Update
Xenon Racer has received a new free content. The third free content update brings players to Nevada, the newest location added to the game. This new location also comes four new tracks that players can race in both directions: Nevada Dam, Nevada Grand Canyon, Nevada Route 93, and Nevada Red Rock Canyon. A new racing team, called Helix Wing, is now also available in the game thanks to this new update.
Sea of Thieves New Limited-Time Event Kicks Off
Sea of thieves has launched a new limited-time event called Black Powder Stashes. This event marks the start of the new monthly content plan for the game. Black Powder Stashes introduces new limited-time voyages which players can purchase from Duke at any tavern. The voyages have five variants in total and each one plots a different course. The new LTM also introduces new Mercenary Commendations, new titles, and more.
Gears 5 Multiplayer Test Servers Go Live July 19th
The Gears 5 multiplayer tech test will go live on Friday, July 19th, and eligible players can now start downloading the game’s client as early as now so they can start playing as soon as servers go live. The Gears 5 Tech Test download is available on the Xbox Store for both PC and Xbox One players. The file size is 10.89 GB. The Gears 5 Tech Test runs until July 22ndand includes three modes (Arcade, Escalation, and King of the Hill), two multiplayer maps (District and Training Grounds), and the Bootcamp tutorial mode.
Subnautica: Below Zero Gets a New Update
The early access underwater survival game Subnautica: Below Zero has received a new update called Arctic Living. This new update adds the much-needed Flashlight Helmet to the game as one of the tools players can use underwater. The update also adds a Metal Detector, and the Booster Tank upgrade that lets players jet forward underwater. The update also comes with a new mining site, the Alterra Mining Site located near the Thermal Spires.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 to Launch in Halloween
Nintendo has confirmed that Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be launching on October 31, 2019 on the Nintendo Switch. This is the perfect release date for the game as it’s a spooky adventure-puzzle game set in a haunted hotel. The game will have Luigi and his super sweeper Poltergust-00 search for extra towels and vending machines inside the mansion. The game features a local co-op mode, as well as the Scarescraper mode that brings randomly generated floors and objectives for players.
Ace Combat 7’s First Campaign DLC Launches This Fall
Bandai Namco has confirmed that Ace Combat 7’s first campaign DLC, Operation Sighthound content pack, will be launching this Fall. Operation Sighthound takes place after one of the main missions from the game. This expansion is the first out of three story packs for Ace Combat 7. The two other story packs are yet to be announced. Stay tuned as Bandai Namco will be announcing Operation Sightbound’s official release date soon.
Horse Care Packages Up for Grab in Red Dead Online This Week
Players who log in to Red Dead Online this week will get a Horse Care Package which will allow them to give their horses in-game some love. The Horse Care Package includes the Horse Revivers, two Horse Medicines, and two Horse Stimulants. This care package also contains Oatcakes, Hay and Carrots — five of each one. Horses are also available at a discount this week.
Control System Requirements Revealed
Remedy has revealed the PC system requirements for its multi-dimensional action-adventure Control. At minimum, players will need 8GB RAM, Ray-Tracing GPU: GeForce RTX 2060, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD RX580 or better GPU, an Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X or better CPU, and DirectX 11. Players will need at least a Windows 10 64-bit OS, 16GB of RAM, DirectX 12, Intel Core i5-8600K / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or better CPU, and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti / AMD Radeon VII or better GPU for better performance.
Monster Hunter World Reaches Milestone By Selling 13 Million Units
Capcom’s Monster Hunter World is still selling strong with 13 million units shipped since it launched in January 2018. With this new milestone, Capcom is celebrating it by giving a special in-game item pack which can be claimed from July 25th to August 29th. This will include 1 Attack Jewel, 13 Appreciation Tickets, 13 Silver Eggs, 3 Gold Wyvern Print, and 3 Heavy Armor Spheres. This is available in any of the game’s platforms, and to claim it, you would just have to log in to the dates given.
Rainbow Six Quarantine To Launch Between January to March 2020
The launch date for the newest PvE co-op game of Ubisoft which is Rainbow Six Siege Quarantine has now been specified. During E3 2019, the game was said to launch in 2020 only but this time a more specific timeframe has been given although it is not the specific date itself. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot announced that Rainbow Six Siege Quarantine is set to launch in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year. This means that the game will be launching anytime between January to March 2020.
New Rainbow Six Siege Test Servers Nerf Shield Operators
Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege test server is now live and it comes with nerfs to the shield operators. Do keep in mind that not all test server changes make it to the live servers but there is a strong indication that these will. The complete patch notes are available in the game’s Reddit page but we have the most notable ones here. First, there is an increase in the cone for hip-fire from behind, also the shield melee is now less deadly and Glaz now has a complete 6 seconds of movement time for the vision.
Best Selling Game Right Now is The Division 2
According to Ubisoft, the best selling game of 2019 is The Division 2 and this is in terms of the number of units sold. The estimated numbers that were given came from NPD, GSD, GFK, Famitsu as well as the own internal metrics of Ubisoft’s sales worldwide. Ubisoft did say that their console sales were not able to meet their expectations but the PC version did, making it Ubisoft’s most profitable platform for the quarter. The Division 2 is exclusively sold through Epic Games store for PC.
Total War: Warhammer 2 Gets Free Content
Creative Assembly has shared that they will be releasing some free content for Total War: Warhammer 2. These will be the last three DLCs for the game which will include a Legendary Lord, an Old World update as well as “Some Old Friends” which may possibly mean that other characters from the tabletop games will be included. In the Tweet that was shared by the Total War official handle, there will be a new campaign, new mode, legendary lord and more. No specific date has been given for this right now.
10,000 Players can Fight in a Single Battle in EVE Aether Wars: Phase Two
The phase two playtest of EVE Aether Wars is coming as announced by Hadean and CCP Games. The first phase had been a demo that had 3,852 players in a single battle having destroyed 88,988 spaceships live. In the phase two playtest, the target is 10,000 players in a single battle. Those interested can sign up for free and the playtest will be on August 18th at 13:00 EDT or 17:00 UTC. This will be powered by Aether Engine which is Hadean’s cloud engine for persistent, massively multiplayer games.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 Launch Pushed Back
NIS America has announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 for PlayStation 4 will be delayed from the original launch date which is September 24th to October 22nd in both North America and Europe. In Australia and New Zealand, on the other hand, the previous launch date which was October 4th will now be on October 29th. NIS America thanked fans of the game for their patience and apologized for the delay, as they would want to give the best experience of the game possible.
New Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age Video Features Game Development
Square Enix has shared a new video for their series called ‘Inside Final Fantasy’. The new video is all about Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age and it features the creative minds of the game talking about the creation of the game as well as the inspirations that they had in making its world. We get to see interviews of Takashi Katano, the game’s director and Hiroaki Kato, the game’s producer. Final Fantasy 12 The Zodiac Age is already available for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Wreckfest Trailer Called Lucky99 Revealed
The latest Wreckfest trailer introduces Lucky 99, the Racer. The trailer is a mix of live-action and racing in-game gameplay. At the end of the video, you get to see what bonus car you will be getting if you pre-order the game. It also emphasizes on being the champion of the race. Wreckfest is set to launch on August 27, 2019, and is available to be played on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
MXGP 2019 Reveals New Track Editor and Game Mode
Milestone shared two new awaited features for MXGP 2019 which are the Track Editor as well as the new game mode called The Waypoint. The Track Editor will let players create a fully customized track with specific Motocross modules. This will come with different selections of environments like wooded areas, the desert or even the riviera. The tracks made can be shared with the community. The Waypoint is set inside the Playground which players can freely roam. MXGP 2019 will launch on August 27.

Finally, Overwatch League is putting a stop to the GOATS meta, this is a team composition the includes three tank heroes as well as three healers. The usual choices are D.Va, Zarya, Reinhardt, Moira, Lucio and Brigitte. This is a very strong team composition and was named GOATS because of the team that first used it, to win their way to the top. To combat this composition, the other should also have a GOATS team as well. But this turned out to have the same result in matches which became boring to watch.
