Role-playing Game Heartbeat Out Now

JRPG Heartbeat from Chumbosoft is out now! It is currently available on Itch, along with its hours-long demo. It will become available on Steam within a couple of weeks. Heartbeat is an RPG developed using RPG Maker MV. Players take on the role of Eve Staccato, who is a simple conjurer from a small mountain town. The game features over 15 hours of character- driven story with multiple endings, sidequests, allies, over 100 enemies, and much more.

Last Chance to Complete Fortnite’s Season 5 Challenges!

A new season is coming to Fortnite and what that means is that players would only have a few more days to complete Season 5! Players would have roughly a week to complete any challenges that they haven’t done or unlock the remaining Battle Pass rewards on their platform of choice – PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and mobile. The challenges are split into two. There are a total of three free challenges as well as four battle pass challenges. Season 5 will only run up until September 25th.

MMO Boundless Has Officially Released

Wonderstruck’s massively multiplayer game called Boundless is finally out of the early access stages and has officially launched as a complete game. Get to play as alien explorers across multiple planets and craft, build, dig and fight your way through. What’s cool is that different languages are spoken in the other alien worlds. The game had been previously called Oort Online and was picked up by Square Enix’s indie incubator program. Boundless is available for PC, PS4 and Mac for €40.

Fortnite on Switch Won’t Require Online Subscription in Order to Play

The Nintendo Switch Online Service is charging for multiplayer modes across many Switch games but Fortnite will not be one of them. This has been confirmed in the FAQ page in the official support site of Nintendo. Fortnite was specified as an exception because it is a free-to-play game. That would most likely mean that other free to play games like Paladins and the Warframe Switch version would also be exempted also. The Nintendo Switch Online Service subscription will launch on September 18th.

Blackout Will Get Changes to Armor Indication and Teamkill Looting

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta is live now on PC and Xbox One. Developer Treyarch has outlined some changes to the game, and among those included is teamkill looting. Some concerned players sent feedback that a lot of players intentionally kill their teammates in order to loot their bodies. Treyarch said that they won’t be tolerating this behavior, and will continue to ban these players. They encourage players to use the Report Player function in the game’s social menu.

Nintendo Clarifies Nintendo Switch Online Cloud Saves Issue

Nintendo has updated its F-A-Qs which clarifies how cloud saves will work with Nintendo Switch Online. The F-A-Qs reveal that users will lose their Save Data Cloud backup if they don’t renew their Nintendo Switch Online Subscription. Players who want to have their save data available will need to have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. The service officially launches on September 18th.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Gets 10th Anniversary Edition

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will be getting a 10th Anniversary Edition in Japan when it officially launches next year. The 10th Anniversary Edition will include a collectible box with special artwork, reversible cover for the main game, a hardcover artbook, an acrylic plate showing off the entire cast, and a Blu-ray disc that contains two original video specials. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition launches January 11th on PC and consoles.

Beta Announced for VR Shooter Space Junkies

Ubisoft’s VR shooter Space Junkies will be having its closed beta which will run from September 26th until October 1st. The game’s beta will be available to players who own the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Those who want to participate in the closed beta will hahe to sign up through the game’s website. The Space Junkies closed beta will invlude a new mode, two new maps, and characters, among other new content.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Has Received High Praises and Impressive Scores

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Marvel Games’ newest release Marvel’s Spider-Man has received a lot of praise and to share their success they were able to launch an accolades trailer that gives us an idea on some of the praises as well as the high scores given for the game. Marvel’s Spider-Man had also been well received in both the UK and in Japan. The trailer also showed some cutscenes as well as other characters that players will get to meet in the game both friendly and not so friendly.

The Bard’s Tale 4: Barrows Deep Launch Trailer Revealed Ahead of Release

InXile Entertainment’s Bard’s Tale 4 Barrows Deep has gotten a launch trailer ahead of its release. The game has been previously announced in January of 2015 and was funded via Kickstarter. It offers a classic dungeon crawling gameplay as well as turn-based battles, however, because of the stunning graphics it possesses it will not be an outdated game. Return of the Obra Dinn Out This Autumn

Developer Lucas Pope, the person responsible for Papers Please released a new trailer for his upcoming game – Return of Obra Dinn. The game is set to launch this coming Autumn and players will take on the role of an insurance adjustor who is tasked to investigate a ship that was believed to be lost at sea but mysteriously floats into the harbour. It is a very distinctive game with an interesting sound design. There will be some old maps as well as diagrams to look at that players will surely gravitate to.

New WWE 2K19 Trailer Teases Big Head Mode and More

WWE 2K19 received a new trailer showcasing some features for the game that is coming out this October. We get to see both Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy in an Ultimate Deletion match. We also get to see some old favorites like Shawn Michaels, John Cena, Andrade Cien Almas, and Velveteen Dream. The Woman’s Royal Rumble match is also featured plus the very amusing Big Head mode and a zombie version of Hunter Hearst Helmsey all in a PS2 like graphics. WWE 2K19 will launch on October 9th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The Culling Now Free to Play

The Culling, which is now known as The Culling Origins has transitioned to Free To Play. The game had taken a strange path this year resulting to it being free to play and it plans to support itself through cosmetic DLCs. Everything that you purchase for the game with real money will not affect the gameplay in any way and will only be cosmetic unlocks. Currently, there are two DLC packs for the game, one of which is the Original Gangster Founder’s Pack and the other one is the FUNC Buster Starter Pack.

Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle on PC Will Be Delayed

The Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is set to be released September 18th, however, its PC version won’t be releasing on the same day. Capcom said through a tweet that the game’s Steam version will have a later launch date than what was announced initially. They added that they will have a release date for Steam soon. The game will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, on the other hand.

Democracy 4 Announced

Democracy 3 has been released way back in 2013 and the developers Positech Games has announced that a Democracy 4 game will be launching by next year, 2019. This time around the game will take cues from the previous standalone expansion called Democracy 3: Africa which has simulated corruption, extreme political phenomenon as well as limited press freedom. Other systems that will no longer apply to the new political issues had been removed and replaced with new and updated features.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Ultimate and FighterZ Editions Revealed

Dragon Ball FighterZ is launching for the Nintendo Switch on September 28 and those interested can choose between the three options for the game that is offered in the e-shop. Forza Horizon 4 In-Game Bonuses for Mixer Streams Activated

In case you didn’t know, Microsoft has its own video game streaming platform called Mix. The company has activated in-game bonuses on Forza Horizon 4 for players who will stream and watch on the said platform. Players who will watch Forza Horizon 4 streams on Mixer will receive in-game Influence Points for every five minutes spent watching. Those hosting the streams get it every two minutes. The game won’t be released until September 28th, but credits can be earned as early as now through the demo.

Let It Die Launches on PC

Grasshopper Manufacturer’s dungeon brawler, free-to-play game called Let It Die is finally getting its PC release which is on September 26th. For those of you who didn’t know, Let It Die had been a PlayStation 4 hit that was released in 2016. The game will let you take on a henchman for Uncle Death who will start out with nothing, not even clothes. You will have to scavenge for your equipment and beat the enemies that are out to get you and reach the top of the tower that Uncle Death has ordered you to do.

Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk Gameplay Revealed

The upcoming Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk from NIS America has released a new gameplay trailer. Unlike the previous trailers that mainly consisted of cutscenes, this time around players can get a look at its gameplay. There will be some dungeon exploration and battle — just an overall look and feel of how the gameplay will be like. Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk will launch on September 18th for North America and September 21st for Europe. Available for PC, PS4 and Switch.

Bethesda Showcases The Elder Scrolls Online’s Mukrime DLC Zone

Bethesda hosted a live stream over the weekend and showcased The Elder Scrolls Online’s upcoming DLC zone, Murkmire. The stream was hosted by community managers Gina Bruno and Jess Folsom. The livestream was almost an hour long and the hosts explored through the new zone as well as provided some insights behind the new DLC area. Wizard of Legend Gets Sky Palace Update

Developer Contingent99 has revealed the latest big update which will head to their rogue-like game Wizard of Legend. The update is called Sky Palace, and a teaser trailer revealed that it will be arriving this Winter. No other details aside from that were revealed. The base game Wizard of Legend launched back in May for Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. It successfully sold 500,000 copies across all its platforms.
