Skybound to Host AMA for The Walking Dead: The Final Season

A Reddit AMA has been scheduled by Skybound Games and it is all about The Walking Dead: The Final Season. We are now all familiar with the fate of Telltale Games and The Walking Dead: The Final Season wasn’t supposed to see the light of day anymore. Thankfully, Skybound Games stepped in and will be finishing the game. They will have the Reddit AMA on October 17th at 5 PM EST and will clear up any questions about the project. This will be headed by Skybound Games’ CEO Ian Howe.

New SoulCalibur 6 Trailer Showcases Combat

If you’re a newbie to the SoulCalibur franchise and want to get your hands on SoulCalibur 6, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer that explains the basics of combat. The video talks about movement as well the as the different types of attacks you can use in the game. It also touched on critical edge, reversal edge, and much more. SoulCalibur 6 releases in a few days, on October 19th to be exact. The game is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Artifact Chat Has Mute Feature for Opponents During Matches

Valve’s card game Artifact will have a chat feature, and the company said that it will include a feature where players can mute their opponents when a match is underway. This stemmed from players’ feedback, citing concerns of toxicity since the game’s global chat will include those players play against. So should a player come across someone who’s being rude in the chat, he can simply turn it off. Artifact will be coming to PC on November 28th.

First Four Teams for League of Legends World Championship Quarterfinals Named

The very first four teams to be advancing to the quarterfinals of the League of Legends World Championship 2018 has been set and they are: Cloud9, RNG, G2, and Afreeca Freecs. Both RNG and Cloud9 had been in the Group B cluster beating out Team Vitality and Gen.G and RNG coming out on the top spot. In the Group A cluster, Afreeca Freecs came out on top with G2 grabbing second place beating out Flash Wolves and Phong Vu Buffalo. There are still two Group Stage clusters which are Group C and Group D.

Rockstar Says They Removed 5 Hours of Content From Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar Games shared that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be 60 hours long, and the company’s Co-Founder Dan Houser revealed during an interview that it could have been longer. According to Houser, the game is initially 65 hours long because the protagonist was supposed to have a second love interest. This however was scrapped as the development team decided that it wouldn’t work. The developer also reportedly removed other missions that were either superfluous, or are not fun at all.

World of Tanks Blitz Halloween Event Announced

World of Tanks Blitz is getting a limited-time Halloween-themed event and it’s called Mad Games. This event is in collaboration with Mad Max: Fury Road Principal Vehicle Designer and Concept Artist Peter Pound. The game is offering two new tanks which will only be unlockable during the event: the Tier V Scavenger and the Tier VII Gravedigger. The Mad Games limited-time event will take place from October 17th until November 12th.

Defiance 2050 Update Adds Halloween Content

Defiance 2050 will be having an update for PC and PlayStation 4 which will bring in the Hulker Hell Halloween content. This will come with some tricks and treats and will be available up until November 5 only. Take down the powerful enemies in the fray and gather up the epic rewards that it brings. And make sure to have your ‘A’ game on and your teamwork at the ready as the revamped ark falls will give rewards to efficient takedowns of hordes of the ghoulish enemies. Defiance 2050 will launch on July 10.

Yakuza 6 Sells As Many Copies in the West as in Japan

Sega has shared their Integrated Report 2018 and shows a bunch of financial details but the most notable on the list is that Yakuza 6: The Song of Life was able to sell just as many copies for both in the West and in Japan. This is actually a first for the Yakuza series as the game is made with the Japanese players in mind and not for the European or U.S markets. So it is a big surprise that the game was also appealing to the western audience. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is currently available for PlayStation 4.

Warframe’s Chimera Update Now Live

A new content update for Warframe is live now which brings a new mission type for high-level players. The new mission is called Chimera and it also comes with new weapons, new daily tribute rewards system, plus some other tweaks and changes. Players who want to take on Chimera must complete the entire Solar Map to be eligible. The new tribute rewards system now also allows players to choose from up to three reward choices on major milestone days. More details on this content update is available in the game’s website.

Vancouver and Luminosity Partner Up for New Overwatch Season

For the coming Overwatch League 2019, Vancouver’s squad will be teaming up with Luminosity. The Vancouver team is one of the eight newcomers that will be debuting in the 2019 Overwatch League. Their collaboration with the eSports company Luminosity will help them create strategies, gameplans as well as push marketing and in general get help with the daily operations that is needed by the team. CEO of Luminosity Steve Maida said that he is “thrilled and humbled to be a part of the collaboration”.

Epic Sues YouTuber for Promoting and Selling Cheats

Epic Games is looking to sue two high-profile Fortnite YouTube streamers Brandon Lucas (aka “Golden Modz”) and his frequent partner Colton Conter (“Excentric”). Epic alleges that these two players have been using illegal mods and then selling them to their viewers. Lucas has feigned his innocence and said he didn’t see his behavior as troublesome, and that other streamers are doing what he did. Epic has since requested YouTube to pull several of his videos.


Spider-Man DLC Out Next Week, Introduces 3 Suits

Insomniac Games announced the very first Marvel’s Spider-Man DLC pack and it is from The City Never Sleeps DLC series called the Heist. This will come with three new Spider-Man suits: the Resilient Suit that was designed by Gabriele Dell’Otto, the Spider-Man Scarlet Spider 2 Suit, and the Spider-Verse Spider UK Suit. The DLC will also come with new story missions, crimes, challenges, Trophies, and a new enemy faction. This will go live on October 23 and the new Game Plus mode will arrive on the 17th.

Discord Subscription Service and Marketplace Now in Global Beta

The Discord Store has launched its global beta, opening it to its 150 million registered users. This platform will give the users a chance to purchase games as well as have access to some timed exclusives via ‘First on Discord’. This also comes with the Nitro subscription where paying subscribers will have access to some popular releases like Metro: Light Redux, Super Meat Boy, FTL, Psychonauts, Darksiders, and Inside. Discord was also able to expand Nitro making it a ‘Netflix of gaming’.

PS4 Message Forcing Console To Crash Now Fixed

Recently a malicious message had been spreading in the PlayStation 4 causing the console to crash or even go into a crash loop. Sony was already able to issue a statement saying that an unrecognized character in the message causes the crash. To prevent this, they suggest changing the setting to only allow messages from friends. Also, if you already received the message, delete it via the PS mobile app, start the console on Safe Mode and choose Option 5 in order to fix the issue.

Fortnite Tournaments Have Both Controller and K and M Users Battle It Out

The Fortnite 6.10 update is here and it comes with the new Tournaments feature. This gives anybody the chance to compete with the pros to earn prizes and glory. Matchmaking is also available, pitting players with similar point standings with each other. Also, players from different platforms will be able to compete against each other. This is regardless if they are playing with a mouse and keyboard, a controller, or a touch device. This is quite a controversial decision but Epic thinks it will work.

Bandai Namco to Distribute Cyberpunk 2077 in Europe

Japanese publisher Banda Namco has signed a partnership with CD Projekt Red, and will be the official distributor of Cyberpunk 2077 in Europe. Bandai will be the ones responsible for promoting and distributing the open-world role-playing game across 24 countries which include France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. The two companies previously worked together for The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3, with Bandai also distributing both games in Europe. Warner Bros. will be distributing the game in America.

Unleash Now Available On Steam

Unleash, the competitive multiplayer tower wars game from DeSync Studios, has launched on Steam. This game combines elements of tower defense and tower offense games, tasking players with strategically placing towers and walls while continually spawning monsters to attack their opponents. Players can play against the AI offline or join in up to 8-player matches online. The game also includes a tutorial for new players and a Sandbox mode for never-ending gameplay.

Battlefield 5 Introduces Single Player Story Trailer

EA and DICE have released a new trailer which features the game’s single-player campaign called War Stories. War Stories follows the anthology format of Battlefield 1, where stories of men and women who fought during the war will be told. The trailer suggests that the campaign will focus mostly on stories of young soldiers that were thrown into impossible situations, and eventually using those experiences to bring out the fighting spirit they didn’t know they had. The trailer also showed a lot of action in land, sea, and air.

New Fortnite Skins Leaked

Fortnite’s new patch has been released and with it came more new skins. The skins were actually leaks that were datamined by TwoEpicBuddies and FNBRLeaks. There were four in total which were: a Onesie, the Guan Yu, the Spider Knight, and the Arachne. One of those skins actually looks very similar to the Widowmaker in Overwatch. Some backbling for Guan Yu and Spider Knight have also been found as well as two Fortnite gliders and three pickaxes and some Fly Explosives.

Fortnite Patch Notes For Update 6.10 Revealed

Fortnite’s 6.10 update has been rolled out to PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS and Android. The most notable change is the addition of the Quadcrasher, a two-seater quad bike with a boost feature. A boost meter fills up while you drive. You can activate the boost once the meter is filled. While boost is active, players you run into are sent flying into the air. A new Events tab has also been added, while the Disco Domination LTD has received a number of changes.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Update 1.07 Adds New Game Plus

Marvel’s Spider-Man’s first DLC pack, The Heist is set to launch October 17th, and it adds a New Game Plus mode to the game along with other exciting content, including new skins. The New Game Plus mode will let players who already completed the game to give it another go, but with all unlocked skills and items carried over. The update also add two new trophies, one for those who complete the New Game Plus mode, and the other one for the new Ultimate difficulty mode.

Overwatch Team Florida Mayhem To Sign New Players

Overwatch League team The Florida Mayhem has signed three additions to their team. Sang-Bum “BQB” Lee is returning to the competetive scene as part of the team after being fined for promoting boosting services when he was still with X6-Gaming. Sang-Won “Swon” Yoon is switching over as well, leaving former team NRG eSports. Jun-Soo ‘Kris” Choi was a member of Meta Athena but has jumped ship to The Florida Mayhem as well. Three are currently still awaiting approval for the Overwatch League.
