Volition Fixing Saints Row 2 on Steam
Saints Row series developer Volition has revealed that they have found a fix for Saints Row 2 on Steam. During the 11th anniversary live stream, Volition revealed that they have located the lost source code for the PC port. Some of the changes that will be coming to the game include Steam networking integration for co-op and multiplayer, adding the previous console-only DLC, and performance improvements. Volition did not specify when they will be done fixing the game as they are currently working on the next Saints Row game.
Wargroove Getting Free DLC Update
Chucklefish has revealed details on Wargroove’s upcoming DLC update, Double Trouble. The DLC is currently in the works, but Chucklefish revealed that it will introduce co-op through a story campaign that’s specifically intended for two players. Double Trouble will support “couch-based co-op, online co-op, and can even be played solo if there are no pals around.” Three new Outlaw Commanders and two new units will also be added to the game. The developer is currently in the final testing phase of the DLC.
Football Manager 2020 Release Date Revealed
Sports Interactive has announced the release date for Football Manager 2020. It will be launching for PC via Steam and mobile devices on November 19th. A Switch and Stadia release were also announced, however a specific date for release is not available at this time. Football Manager 2020 Mobile will also launch the same day for iOS and Android devices. The beta for Football Manager 2020 will be available soon for customers who pre-ordered it.
Borderlands 3’s Show Me the Eridium! Event Now Live
Borderlands 3’s Anniversary Celebration is on its third week, and starting October 15th, players will enjoy a huge boost on Eridium drops with its Show Me the Eridium! event. The event will run until October 22nd. During the event, Eridium drops will be added to normal enemies, and there’s an increase in drop rate in Mayhem Mode. Moxxi’s Vault Line slot machine will also ask lesser Eridium to pla, and all Eridium items at Crazy Earl’s hideout in Sanctuary III will be discounted.
Overwatch Halloween Terror Event Kicks Off
The Overwatch Halloween Terror event is underway and players will enjoy Halloween-themed treats until November 4th! Halloween Terror will bring themed skins as well as events. Previous Halloween Terror events include limited-time loot box bundle, seasonal skins, and a story revolving around Dr. Junkenstein. In other news, Overwatch will also be officially available on the Nintendo eShop starting October 18th.
Apex Legends Fight or Fright Reveals Shadowfall Mode
Respawn has released a trailer for the Apex Legends Fight or Fright limited-time event, revealing the new Shadowfall Mode. Shadowfall is a solo mode that takes place in King’s Canyon. When players get killed, their deathbox will spawn spiders and they’ll drop in the map once again, but this time as a member of the Shadow Squad. The goal is to survive until 10 players are left; they then have to work together to escape the dropship. The Fight or Fright event also includes Halloween-themed items for players to unlock.
Soulcalibur 6 Adds New Moves for All Characters in Season 2 Update
Bandai Namco will be adding new moves to all Soulcalibur 6 characters through a free update for Season 2. The publisher revealed the new moves through a trailer. While there’s no definite release date yet for the Season 2 update, Bandai Namco did mention that the paid Season 2 pass will include four new characters, and one of them will be Haohmaru from the Samurai Shodown series.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Allows Players to Make Rooms Public
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has a cool new feature. The console versions have received update 11.01 which allows players to invite their friends into their in-game rooms. This is possible by making their rooms public to other players; players will have to change their settings in their Communication menu, or by speaking to their housekeeper. The update also adds a music player that allows players to change the music in their room, as well as new interactable décor.
Postal 4 Announced, Now Available on Steam
Running With Scissors has announced Postal 4: No Regerts — yes, that’s not a typo — and has also released it on Steam Early Access. Postal 4: No Regerts welcomes back the POSTAL Dude and his loyal companion Champ as he ticks off nasty errands on his daily to-do list. The game’s Early Access version features the Monday list so far, with only three errands to complete.
Black Desert Online The Great Expedition Update Coming Next Week
Black Desert Online’s The Great Expedition Update will be rolling out on October 23rd. The Great Expedition is ocean-themed and brings new systems and content. The new systems this update will introduce are sea currents and wind systems which will influence ships’ speed and travel efficiency. The update also brings a lineup of ships and sailors. Players can now also use the new bartering system. More content are expected to be added beyond this update, so stay tuned.
Persona 5 Royal Install Size Revealed
Personal 5 Royal’s install size has been revealed, ahead of its Japanese release on October 31st. Japanese shops that displayed sample packages of the game’s physical PS4 package, and showed the game’s install size is around 30GB — that is 10GB more than the original Persona 5. This is probably because of the all-new additions to the game. Persona 5 Royal will be heading west in Spring 2020, and will be a PS4 exclusive.
Wargroove Gets New Content Called Double Trouble
Chucklefish announced its new content drop for their advance war-inspired strategy game Wargroove. The DLC is called Double Trouble and it comes with new units, co-op campaign, commanders, private and public multiplayer lobbies and so much more. The new campaign is set to be co-op focused but it can still be played solo. There will be three new commanders which are Wulfar, Errol and Orla. The new map will have a Volcano theme. The Division 2 Update 6 Patch Notes Revealed
The patch notes of The Division 2 Update 6 have been revealed by Ubisoft and it comes with a lot of fixes and improvements, there will also be a brand new PvP mode, plus the Targeted Loot and Inventory Management.2.0. Some notable things included in the update are the overhaul of the Named Items, more stash space, re-balances of talents and weapons. There are changes to the Dark Zone Supply Drops and Recalibrating and Crafting. The improvement of the Early Game, UI and more are also included in this update.
Asterix & Obelix XXL3: The Crystal Menhir to Launch on November 21st
Asterix & Obelix XXL3: The Crystal Menhir will be launching next month, November 21st for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players can once again play as Asterix and Obelix. For the very first time in the series, the game will be featuring a cooperative mode that will allow family and friends to join in on the fun on the same screen. Your favorite Gauls are all still available like Getafix, Cacofonix and Vitalstatistix. Expect a brand new story beginning in the small village of Armorica.
Life is Strange 2 Boxed Edition Revealed
Dontnod Entertainment’s Life is Strange 2 is getting a boxed release in Europe and North America. There will be two editions available, a Standard Edition that will come with the complete season, a bonus game and the Arcadia Bay Patches. The other edition is the Square Enix Store Exclusive Life is Strange 2 Collector’s Edition which comes with what is included in the Standard Edition plus Jonathan Morali’s official score, 32-page hardcover art book, vinyl figurines, and presentation box.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 Introduces Charlotte Katakuri
The fourth installment of the One Piece: Pirate Warriors series, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has been announced and it will come with the latest stories, characters and environments form the Shonen Jump series One Piece. Players are introduced to Charlotte Katakuri, the second son of the Charlotte family. Katakuri is also one of the Three Sweet Commanders and is very powerful. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is set to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch by next year.
Tower Defense Game Anthill to Launch on the Switch
A different kind of strategy game is coming your way with Anthill for the Nintendo Switch. The game is like a tower defense game and your main mission is to protect your hill from the hordes of enemy bugs coming your way. The game is currently available on iOS and Android, and the Switch version will come with the game as well as all the previously launched DLC. A brand new soundtrack is also available and it is now 100% dedicated to handheld play. Anthill will launch on October 24th.
Intertial Drift to be Published by PQube
The arcade racer Interial Drift will be published by PQube. The game features and intuitive twin-stick control which will make drifting more easy as well as accessible to new players of the game and giving a more in-depth experience to the veterans. Choose from 16 different cars, drivers and techniques. There will be 20 scenic tracks showing off the Japanese pink sunset. Enjoy the intense 1 on 1 racing. Inertial Drift will launch in the Spring of 2020 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Dollhouse Update Revealed
Noir game Dollhouse gets a new update with new gameplay mechanics as well as bug fixes. Thanks to all the feedback that the community has given, developers’ Creazn Studio was able to make an update for the game. The new gameplay mechanic is called ‘Tale of two dolls’ where one doll grants bonuses and the other kills. Another feature added is ‘it curses’ where players get to choose who to save or remove in their movie. Overall the game has bug fixes, graphical improvements, and optimized gameplay.
Billy Bomber Debuts on the Nintendo Switch
Logic game Billy Bomber is now available on the Nintendo Switch. Players will have to approach the puzzles creatively by using springs and TNT. Every level available can be solved in different ways. Developed by Jakub Lange and published by Ultimate Games S.A. for the Nintendo Switch the game offers 25 different levels to complete, intuitive controls and two-game modes. You can now get the game for the Switch on the Nintendo eShop. It is also available on Android and soon for iOS.
Get Me Snacks Demo Available in EGX 2019
New fun isometric party game called Get Me Snacks will be at EGX 2019. Get to play as an honorable pigeon who just wants to feed her babies and herself. Look for the best snacks from the different supermarkets, be on your guard from the pest control as well as shop clerks who are not very friendly. The developer’s Heckin Games are originally based in Middlesex University and are a student-lead team. They are now graduates and specializes in low-poly, arcade-style games.
WWE 2K20 Reveals Royal Rumble Gameplay
WWE 2K20 shared a women’s Royal Rumble gameplay video which featured well known female wrestlers like Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, and Lana. In the video, you get to see that it really doesn’t have the traditional amount of WWE Superstars in the ring, but you will also notice that the game does perform well when there are more than four wrestlers in the ring and it could support up to eight. WWE 2K20 will be launching on October 22, 2019 available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
