This War of Mine Celebrates Anniversary with Free Final Cut Update

This War of Mine is celebrating its fifth anniversary this month, and players will be receiving the free Final Cut content update. This War of Mine: Final Cut adds a new character, a new classic scenario, and new quests and events for each of the locations in the Stories DLC. This update also includes 4K UI adjustments and 21:9 aspect ratio support, plus a remastered version of the game’s classic levels. The free Final Cut update is now available for players on PC.


Age of Empires 4 Officially Unveiled at X019

Microsoft has officially unveiled Age of Empires 4 at X019 in London. The reveal comes with gameplay footage and shows that the game is set in the Medieval era. It also teased two of the civilizations in the game: the Mongols and the English. The game is being developed by Relic Entertainment, the studio behind Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and Company of Heroes.


Wasteland 3 Release Date Announced

inXile has announced the release date for its sequel to Wasteland 2 during the recently concluded X019. Wasteland 3 will be officially launching on May 19, 2020 and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. During the stream, inXile studio head Brian Fargo said that players don’t need to have payed previous Wasteland games in order to play Wasteland 3, and added that the game is “completely standalone.” He also added that the tactical RPG has “half a million words of dialogue.”


Planet Coaster Arriving on Consoles Next Year

Frontier Developments park sim Planet Coaster will be launching for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and will be available on the said consoles next summer. The game first launched on PC back in 2016 and has received positive responses from players and critics. Frontier did not include concrete details on the console versions of the game, but it did say that console players will benefit from its “ongoing development since its original launch”.


Life is Strange Dev Announces New Game, Tell Me Why

Life is Strange developer Dontnod has revealed its new game at X019, a narrative adventure game titled Tell Me Why. The studio has partnered with Xbox Studios to bring the game to Steam, Xbox One and Windows 10 in Summer 2020. Although not developed by the exact same team from Life is Strange, Tell Me Why will have a similar style. It is set in a small town in Alaska and stars identical twins Tyler and Alyson. Players will explore the twins’ memories and will choose which ones to believe — the player’s choice will affect the story’s outcome.


New Microscale Survival Game, Grounded, Revealed at X019

Obsidian Entertainment is on a roll this year. After the successful release of The Outer Worlds, the studio has now announced a new game: the co-op survival game titled Grounded. If you’ve watched the movie “Honey, I Shrink the Kids” back in the days, this could be familiar to you as it features four players that have been shrunk to ant sizes. They are tasked to gather supplies to build a camp while tackling insect threats. It is yet to receive an official release date, but it will be launching for PC and Xbox One through Game Preview and Xbox Game Pass.


Rare Announces Next Xbox Exclusive Game, Everwild

Rare has revealed its new IP titled Everwild. The game will be launched exclusively for Xbox One and Windows 10. Rare’s presentation at X019 reveals the game’s world which has different species of animals. The studio also revealed that the game is still in its early development stage, but players can expect “an experience that allows for new ways to play in a natural and magical world.”


Kazuki Kazama Joins Samurai Shodown Roster

Kazuki Kazama from Samurai Shodown IV is joining Samurai Shodown’s roster starting November 18th. Kazuki will be available as a purchasable character, or as part of the game’s season pass. He is described as a hot-blooded teen as he’s known for his short temper. As an opponent, he is unpredictable and wild; he is armed with pyrokinetic powers that allow him to conjure up fireball and flames in battle.


Release Date for Halo: Master Chief Collection on PC Announced

Microsoft and 343 Industries have finally announced the release date of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It will be available starting December 3, 2019 on PC and Xbox One and will include Halo: Reach. Halo: Reach will be the first title available for the Master Chief Collection on PC, while the other Halo games will be added one-by-one in chronological order.


10 Final Fantasy Games Added to Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has revealed that they’re adding 10 Final Fantasy games on Xbox Game Pass! The games will be added sequentially starting in 2020. Here is the full list: Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8: Remastered, Final Fantasy 9, Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age, Final Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy 13-2, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy 15, Final Fantasy X: HD Remastered, and Final Fantasy X-2: HD Remastered. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will be added next year on Xbox One.


GODSENT Completes its CS:GO Roster

In esports news, Swedish pro esports organization GODSENT has announced its return to the Counter-Strike scene with the completion of its CS:GO lineup. The team ceased operations for more than a year, and fans will be delighted to know they are finally back. The team’s CS:GO lineup consists of all-European players and includes Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend, Martin “STYKO” Styk, Mikail “Maikelele” Bill, Jesse “zehN” Linjala, and Pavle “maden” Bošković. They will be under the direction of coach Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg.


Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Has Launched

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order had launched! The game is considered to be the first proper single-player Star Wars adventure game there is. This was developed by the makers of Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends – Respawn. What this means is that you will still see the studio’s style in the game like timing in saber combat, parries, and dodges. It also comes with a world of secrets and backtracking as well as some wall-running. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is out on Steam, Origin and the Epic Games Store.


Minecraft Dungeons Set to Launch by April 2020

During Microsoft’s XO19 presentation, Minecraft Dungeons has been announced to launch by April 2020. The ARPG spin-off of the world-conquering world-builder will have an old-school Diablo-like dungeon-crawling RPG. There will be randomly generated levels and monsters instead of the typical crafting and building. Dungeons will also have a four-player co-op support. Minecraft Dungeons will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.


Final Fantasy 14 Patch 5.11 Revealed

Final Fantasy 14 has a new patch which is patch 5.11 and it is not that massive but the content will surely surprise you. The update comes with some minions, a mount, a variety of bug fixes, a new questline to bring back Ishgard to its former glory, additional items, new cosmetics like hairstyles, sidequest and the most important of all, the Alexander Ultimate. If you remember, Ultimate tier raids are those lengthy fights that could sometimes take days to finish.


Sea of Thieves November Update Revealed

Sea of Thieves is getting a new adventure called Tall Tales. This is still part of the free update The Seabound Soul. Tall Tales is a story campaign that had been previously introduced last April with the Anniversary update. The tease stated, “Join Captain Pendragon to uncover the mystery of the feared ship, the Ashen Dragon”. The update will also come with the use of firey destruction by way of firebombs that can be loaded into cannons.


Destiny 2 Nerfs the One-Eyed Mask and the Recluse

Another One-Eyed Mask nerf is coming to Destiny 2. This nerf will no longer grant an overshield whenever you beat an opponent that has damaged you. So what this means is that the OEM will still give wallhacks, which still makes it very powerful, however, with the nerf, at least it won’t be doing anything else more than that. The Recluse is also getting a nerf it will “continue to receive a damage bonus from Master of Arms, but damage will not default to precision values when the perk activates”.


Squad is Free to Play on Steam This Weekend

Developer Offworld Industries has announced that their game Squad is free to play this weekend on Steam. Also, the developer announced that they will be supporting the military charity called StackUp. This charity supports active duty military and veterans through gaming. During the weekend, StackUp has a “Call to Arms” event that will feature veteran-oriented clans on live streams. You can check out the streaming schedule at Squad’s official site. The free weekend will end on November 18th.

Fortnite is offering a limited-time skin to celebrate the launch of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. The limited-time skin is that of an Imperial Storm Trooper. Those interested can earn the skin in two ways. The first one is by purchasing the skin via the Item Shop in Fortinite which will cost you 1,500 V-Bucks. The second way is to purchase the Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order game in the Epic Games Store. The Item Shop will have the skin available until November 17 and until the 30th on the Epic Games Store.

An adorable game called Woven is out now as announced by developer Alterego Games and publisher StickyLock. The game offers a rich story in rhymes with casual yet challenging and rewarding puzzles. Xseed Games’ Heroland to Launch on December 3rd

Xseed Games has announced that their humorous and cute game called Heroland will be launching on December 3 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Those who preorder the game will get a day one physical Heroland “Knowble Edition” for $49.99 USD at the Xseed Games Store and other participating retailers. The digital version of the game is also available for $39.99 USD via the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, Steam and Humble Store.
