OCTOBER 15 PART 1

Match Composer Coming Soon to Halo: The Masterchief Collection

4 years after the game launched, Halo The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One is still receiving updates from 343 Industries. This time around, they’ve added a Match Composer which allows players to mix and match games they prefer to search for when playing online. A Custom Game browser has also been added, allowing players to simply view all available games. Custom controller settings mimicking game feeling on the original Xbox and Xbox 360 are now available as well.


Ephemeral Engrams and New Questline Included in Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost

Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost Event is returning tomorrow with Amanda Holliday as host. The Tower will be dressed with Halloween-themed ornaments. Daily bounties will award Fragmented Souls which can be used to purchase Festival of the Lost masks and a new Legendary Auto Rifle called the Horror Story. Ephemeral Engrams will be awarded to max level characters each time their XP bar is filled. Players will also have access to the Haunted Forest and a new questline to avenge Master Ives.


God Eater 3 Gets 8-Player Co-op

God Eater has traditionally stuck to four-player co-op, but it looks like God Eater 3 will be breaking out of that mold. The upcoming third-installment will be introducing an Assault Mission mode which will feature eight-player co-op. DualShockers has just uploaded some gameplay footage of the mode and it looks like bosses won’t be pushovers just because there are eight players coming for it from different directions. God Eater 3 is set to launch on some time next year for PC and PS4.


Warriors Orochi 4 Shows Off Xu Shu in New Character Trailer

Koei Tecmo has just released a new character trailer for Warriors Orochi 4 featuring Dynasty Warriors veteran Xu Shu. The character first appeared in Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires, first fighting for Liu Bei and the Shu before switching sides to Cao Cao and the Wei. He’ll be joining a cast of 170 playable characters, a number recognized by Guiness World Records to be the most in a hack-and-slash game. Warriors Orochi 4 will launch on October 19th for PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.


Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2 Announced

Part 2 of the most exciting off-road motorcycle championship in the world was announced in the form of Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2. This time around a renewed Career Mode can be experienced. As a professional racer, being the fastest one on track is not the only important thing, you must be able to increase your fame as well as capture your fan’s hearts to get the attention of the best sponsors. Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2 launches on February 8, 2019.


Bethesda Softworks Opens Russia Office

Bethesda Softworks has opened up a new office in Moscow, Russia. The new office will oversee sales and marketing in Russia and CIS and will be headed by managing director Simeon Chirikov who has consulted for Bethesda before and has previously worked with Wargaming and Electronic Arts. Sean Brenman, managing director for Bethesda Europe says Chirikov’s extensive knowledge of the market will help in delivering on all of their titles’ potential in the region.


Ember Sword Announced

A new cross-platform sandbox MMORPG entitled Ember Sword has been announced. The game is being developed by Couch Studios and draws inspiration from the likes of Ultima Online and Runescape. The game features a classless combat system, open-world PVP, player-driven economy, and will let players own parcels of land in-game. What’s most exciting about the game is that it won’t feature a cash shop or any pay-to-win elements. It will launch for PC first then mobile later on.


11:11: Memories Retold Gets Charity DLC

War Child UK teamed up with Bandai Namco Entertainment to support the Armistice 2018 campaign and came up with a charity DLC which is 11:11 Memories Retold, a game about World War 1. Bandai Namco Entertainment plans to donate 100% of the profits to the cause for the children and young adults that were affected by war around the world. The DLC will be available on November 9, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and will be sold for £2.99. Other studios and games pledged support as well.


New Jump Force Trailer Reveals Saint Seiya Characters, Mayan Stage

Bandai Namco has just released a new trailer for Jump Force, revealing the addition of characters from the Saint Seiya series. Pegasus Seiya and Dragon Shiryu are set to join the 3D fighter’s all-star cast. Both are members of the Knight of the Zodiac, an elite group of warriors who serve to protect peace and justice across the world. The trailer also reveals a new Mayan City stage set in the ruins of the ancient civilization. Jump Force launches in February next year.


New First-Person Horror Game Unholy Announced

A new first-person horror/stealth game has been announced with a trailer and it is called Unholy. Developed by Duality Games, a team consisting of developers from Painkiller, Gears of War and Bulletstorm comes a rich story of the Last City as well as Siadah’s critical journey to save both herself and her child. Your mental health is also something to look out for in the game, you must fight the madness or deal with its consequences. Unholy is targeted to launch by 2019 and is powered by Unreal Engine.


Call of Cthulhu PC System Requirements Revealed

The official system requirements for Call of Cthulhu was announced by Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide. According to the post, the minimum requirements would need a Core i5-3450 or an AMD FX-6300 processor and for the graphics card a GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870. The recommended would be a Core i7-3820 or an AMD FX-8370 and GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon R9 390 for graphics. 8 GB of RAM is needed and about 13 GB of storage. Internet connection is also required. Call of Cthulhu will launch on October 10.

Black Ops 4 Breaks Sales Records of Activision and Playstation

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 released October 12, and it’s already breaking sales records for both its publisher Activision and PlayStation. Activision announced that Black Ops 4 broke the publisher’s record of the biggest day one digital release in its history. The game also has the strongest day one digital full game sales on the PlayStation Store. Another thing is that the game also broke a record on Xbox One as Activision’s best-selling game of all time.


Star Citizen Gets Almost a Million Dollars in Additional Funding

Funding for the crowd-funded space sim Star Citizen spiked last Wednesday, October 10th, the same day Cloud Imperium released the three-minute trailer for Squadron 42. The game reportedly received a donation of $379,254 on October 10th and $600,000 combined within the next three days. The company cited the announcement of the new ship Anvil Valkyrie as the possible reason for the increase in donations. This ship is currently available in the test servers.


Bloodborne Community Plans Halloween Event

The Bloodborne community is planning a Halloween event for the game which will take place from October 26th until November 1st. The event is called Blood Moon, and it is similar to the Yharnam event. The objective of the event is to get as many people as possible to play the game and cooperate in completing a few things such as creating a new character, co-op for at least three times, invade at least three times, and always carrying their torch to demonstrate they are part of the hunt.


Red Dead Redemption 2 Xbox One Download Size Revealed

The approximate file size for Red Dead Redemption 2 on the Xbox One has been revealed. In the game’s page in the Microsoft Store, the “Approximate Size” of the game is at 88.57GB. It is not clear whether this number pertains to download size or install size. We are yet to get official word from Microsoft to clarify this. A few weeks ago, it was revealed that the game will need 105GB on the PlayStation 4.


For Honor Marching Fire Graphical Enhancements Detailed

For Honor is getting a huge graphical overhaul thanks to its upcoming Marching Fire expansion. The recent livestream for the game had a segment called “Graphical Enhancements Showcase” and it illustrates the following changes: global illumination, updated sky tech, color grading, and new tone mapping. It is also worth noting that these changes won’t affect the game’s performance. Marching Fire launches October 16th and will come with the new Wu Lin faction and four new heroes.


PUBG Releases Initial Fix on Broken Auto Server Allocation Issue

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds released an auto server allocation system, however, it did not work properly and players were placed into regions that were not their own. PUBG Corp. has explained that there was an error in the ping calculation resulting to the problem. They have since apologized and offered an initial fix for the issue. The developers though are working on correcting the whole problem plus other remaining issues and release the fix by next week.


Paradox Games Get New Engine That Allows Easier Modding

Starting next year with the upcoming Paradox game Imperium: Rome, all future games from the company will be using the new upgraded Clausewitz engine. This upgraded engine will provide more tools for modders which in turn allows them to create mods easily such as creating custom UIs, or even changing a map’s terrain. A new software called Jomini will also be added which will allow Paradox to create new tools which modders can use in future games.


Monster Hunter World Mega Man Crossover Event Starts This Friday

This Friday is the start of the Monster Hunter: World – Mega Man crossover! Starting at 12 midnight UTC and will be running up until November 1st, players will be able to get a special outfit for their palico companion and it is a pixel-themed Mega Man suit. Also, players are able to craft a Mega Man gear by going on the Rush of Blood event quest. This quest, however, requires players to be a Hunter Rank 13 or above. The background music will also change to the 8-bit Mega Man music depending on your weapon.


Fortnite Gets Gifting System for Dances and Cosmetics

Fortnite will be getting a gifting system for cosmetics and dances, according to a Twitter user and streamer named Jaren. According to him, in the in-game shop, players will be able to see a new button under the ‘purchase’ button which says ‘buy as a gift,’ Once that is selected you can choose a friend on your friend’s list to be the recipient. It will take eight days for the gift to be delivered and players would need enough V-bucks to make the purchase. A quick clip has been posted for the demonstration.


Warriors Orochi 4 Shows Off Nu Wa in New Trailer

Koei Tecmo released a new trailer for their upcoming game Warriors Orochi 4! The trailer features Nu Wa, the serpent goddess who is making a comeback from Warriors Orochi 3. The trailer is just less than a minute but we do get an idea of how powerful she really is. She even gets into a fight with Lu Linqi. The game now has a massive roster of playable characters with 170 and counting. Warriors Orochi 4 will launch on October 16th in North America and the 19th for Europe for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.


For Honor’s “Year of the Harbinger” for 2019 Teased

It has been a good year for For Honor with a new expansion called Marching Fire coming next week, and also for the game hitting the 15 million-player milestone. Ubisoft also released a teaser for the 2019 For Honor: The Year of the Harbinger. The details for this right now is not clear. This could be the next title expansion for Marching Fire or perhaps several updates that will be coming in 2019. Right now it is anyone’s guess. But continued support has been promised for For Honor by the developers.
