Heavy Sniper Coming to Fortnite Battle Royale
Epic Games has announced that Fortnite will be getting a new content update very soon and it will come with a new weapon for the game. According to the New Updates feed of Fortnite, the new type of weapon is a sniper rifle called the Heavy Sniper. No specifics were shared about the weapon as of yet and its description states that the gun is “capable of dealing high damage to structures”. The game’s previous update also introduced a new weapon which is the Double Barrel Shotgun, a powerful close-range gun.
A Hat in Time Will Release a Special Announcement Before Gamescom
Gears For Breakfast shared a tweet saying that a special announcement will be made available regarding their cute retro-platforming game A Hat In Time. For right now, there are no hints about what it is all about, but what is known is that the “special announcement will be shared right before the upcoming Gamescom event in Cologn, Germany. A Hat In Time is already available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and it is about an alien girl called Hat Kid who gets stranded on Earth and needs to do everything to return home.
Payday 2 Celebrates 5th Anniversary With New Content
Overkill is rolling out a week’s worth of free updates in celebration of Payday 2’s fifth anniversary! Each of the updates will be released once every day for five days starting August 14th. The first one is out now, and features the character Joy who sports a cyber mask. A new heist is also available, and it looks like players will be going to a black tie event. Payday 2 is available on PC via Steam.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Much Longer Than Origins
According to Assassins Creed Odyssey director Scott Philips, the game will be much longer than the previous outing — Origins. Phillips also confirms that the map is much bigger for Odyssey. To compare, according to HowLongToBeat, Assassin’s Creed Origins had a normal story completion time of around thirty hours, and around fifty hours if you are really getting into the game’s content plus of course, the DLCs added. If Assassin’s Creed Origins is longer than that, then that is mighty impressive.
Europa Universalis 4 Dharma Release Date Revealed
A new expansion is coming to Europa Universalis 4! Dharma will focus on the Indian subcontinent, and focuses on peacetime interactions between India and the colonizers. This expansion brings reforms players can unlock and enable them to define their own kingdom, a reworked policy system, new Indian mission trees and estates. This expansion comes with a free update for Europa Universalis 4 players as well as a major rework on the India, Burma, and Tibet maps.It will be available starting September 6th.
The Padre Releases This Fall
The Padre, a suspense, 3D survival-horror adventure game, will be launching on PC and consoles this coming fall. The game brings players to the Lovecraftian universe with the main character as a Catholic Priest named Alexander Padre. He is a former demon hunter who will be taking on the impossible as he tries to earn his once rightful place in heaven. To search for his redemption players must first uncover the truth and overcome some obstacles as well. The game plays as a point-and-click title.

Sword Legacy Omen Coming to Steam
A new launch trailer has been revealed for Sword Legacy: Omen as the turn-based tactical RPG is now available on Steam. The game comes with a Standard edition and a Digital Deluxe edition which will come with a digital story and art book, wallpapers and the Sword Legacy Omen OST. The game will also be on a 20% discount for the first week of its launch. Get to play as the knight, Uther Pendragon who is aided by the sorcerer Merlin. He has to avenge his fallen Lord as well as reclaim the lost sword Excalibur.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Releases Gameplay Launch Trailer
Although Marvel’s Spider-Man won’t be launching until 3 weeks from now, Sony has already released a gameplay launch trailer to get anticipating gamers hyped up. Although it’s dubbed as a “gameplay” trailer, a big chunk of the teaser is actually made up of cinematics. The trailer showcases the game’s exciting swinging, plus some of the baddies Peter Parker will be up against. We also get a glimpse of Aunt May and Miles Morales. Marvel’s Spider-Man launches exclusively on PS4 come September 7th.
Don’t Delete Your Black Ops 4 Beta Client, Treyarch Says
If you played during the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta over the weekend, Activision has a helpful suggestion for you. In a tweet by Activision Support, those who played in the multiplayer beta are recommended not to delete the beta as a file update will be made available by September for the Blackout Beta. If you can remember the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 beta is two-part. One for the multiplayer beta which just finished and the other for the game’s battle royale mode called Blackout.
Madden 19 Hits Over 100 Million Copies Sold
Madden NFL 19 has helped the franchise reach a very impressive milestone. EA Sports has revealed that their premier American football sim has sold over 130 million copies since it first launched back in 1998. The game has now joined a very exclusive list of other EA games that have hit over 100 million units sold. FIFA managed to pass 100 million copies sold back in 2010, while The Sims and Need for Speed accomplished the same feat in 2008 and 2009 respectively. EA also revealed that Madden has also enjoyed success on mobile with 73 million installs so far.

Fortnite Streamer Ninja Explains Why He Won’t Play with Female Gamers
Popular Fortnite streamer Ninja recently stirred up the gaming community when he revealed that he will never play with women on his streams out of respect for his wife and to avoid common forms of online harassment. Some women streamers were outraged by his stand, insinuating that he was encouraging some form of stereotype against female streamers. Some even called him out for completely ignoring women in gaming instead of helping them become mainstream. Ninja later insisted that his stand is against online harassment and that he will always put his family first.
Super Street: The Game Gameplay Revealed
Super Street: The Game has just gotten its very first gameplay trailer and it’s a lengthy one. The trailer gives us a glimpse of 3 cars as they start off as junk cars and then later get tuned up. The game is definitely not lacking in customization options to pimp up your car’s looks and performance. The trailer also reveals that players will be able to explore the environment without limits. Super Street: The Game will be launching on September 4th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Crystal Dynamics Expands and Hires New Staff
Crystal Dynamics, the studio behind the Tomb Raider reboot series, is beefing up their staff and adding an entirely new studio in Seattle. Co-head of studio Scot Amos says that they’ve “assembled a team of industry veterans and leaders” and these key new hires are initially expected to tackle technology development for the highly-anticipated Avengers Project and other future endeavors. New additions include world-class developers who previously worked on God of War, Dead Space, Halo and Call of Duty.
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel Gets New Community Patch
A new version of the unofficial community patch for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel from a team of modders has been released. The patch alters the game’s balance to make weak guns, skills, and gear more viable. It also makes all gear farmable, which should appeal greatly to min-maxers and completionists. The unofficial community patch is available now on Nexus Mods while a video tutorial has also been released to help with installation. No patch notes were released so we only know that it comes with over 335 changes.
Capcom Acknowledges Monster Hunter World Connection Errors on PC
Monster Hunter World players on PC have been getting connection errors which has resulted in an influx of negative reviews on Steam, dropping it to an overall rating of 50%. Capcom has finally acknowledged the problem in an announcement saying that they are currently working with Steam to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Despite the said problems, it has quickly become the best-selling Japanese game of all time on Steam and has sold over 10 million copies across PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Jagged Alliance is Back With Jagged Alliance Rage
THQ Nordic announced the return of Jagged Alliance with a new game titled Jagged Alliance: Rage! The turn-based strategy game is being developed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and is set for release Autumn 2018. The game is set 20 years after the first game. It features a 2-player online co-op mode, plus a deep turn-based tactical gameplay that’s paired with adventure elements. Tactics range from stealth to using brute force, plus players get to also use rage skills which are unique abilities that get more powerful over time.
Arkane Says the Dishonored Series Will Be Resting for Now
Dishonored is apparently taking a break on its future releases as said by Lead Designer Ricardo Bare during an interview at QuakeCon 2018. To quote, he said, “I can’t say definitively what might happen down the road, anything could happen but [Dishonored] is resting for now”. The latest that came out of the Dishonored series is Death of the Outsider which came out in September 2017. Bare didn’t actually share what they are working on next, but it may involve multiplayer elements.
Garry’s Mod Inspired Prey Typhon Hunter’s Multiplayer Mode
Prey’s Typhon Hunter DLC is apparently inspired by a game mode from the sandbox game Garry’s Mod. In an interview with VG247, Arkane lead designer Ricardo Bare looked back and said people are telling them how the DLC is similar with Prop Hunt, a game mode in Garry’s Mod. In Prop Hunt, players disguise themselves as furniture, and in Typhon Hunter, players play as Mimics who are out to get the protagonist Morgan. They thought it was a great idea, so they decided to incorporate it to the game.
WWE 2K19 Gets Showcase Mode and It’s All About Daniel Bryan
The Showcase Mode is making a comeback to WWE 2K19 as announced by 2K Games. This time around, Daniel Bryan will be featured in the mode. The last Showcase Mode was available in WWE 2k16 which features Stone Cold Steve Austin’s greatest moments. In WWE 2K19, Daniel Bryan will be telling his own story, complete with his own narration in this single-player mode. There will be 11 historical matches to play as well as a surprise match, 15 Bryan interview packages, and 20 video cutscenes as well.
Twin Mirror Gameplay to Be Revealed at Gamescom
The next title from Dontnod Entertainment is called Twin Mirror and Bandai Namco the game’s publisher has announced that a gameplay footage will be made available on August 21. The interesting thing is that is the date that Gamescom will be opening in Cologne, Germany. The game was first announced during E3 with a trailer of a man who wakes up with no memory at all and a bloodied shirt that he knows is his. It looks like a dimension-splitting game. Twin Mirror is still in development for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
World of Warcraft Player Reaches Battle for Azeroth Level Cap in Just Over 4 Hours
World of Warcraft’s newest expansion called Battle for Azeroth was released yesterday and in just a few hours a player was already able to reach the new level cap. The player’s name is Gingi from the World of Warcraft guild Method. Using a troll druid named Luigingi, he went from the previous level cap of 110 to the new level cap of 120 in just four hours and seventeen minutes. He did this with the help of two of his friends by completing the quests as fast as possible based on their progress in the beta.
