Spider-Man New Game+ Mode in the Works
Insomniac Games has revealed that they will be releasing a New Game+ mode for Spider-Man PS4. This was revealed by Insomniac Games on Twitter as a response to a user who asked whether the game will have a New Game+ mode. Insomniac said that they’re working on it now, and polishing it up. Spider-Man will also be getting a three-part DLC series called The City That Never Sleeps. It will include new missions, villains, characters, and additional suits for Spider-Man.
Fortnite Removes Drum Gun
With Fortnite’s newest update 5.4 going live, it came with it a lot of changes and most notable of all is the removal of the Drum Gun. The Drum Gun was a very useful weapon in any different situation and it is something that would be hard to balance. It has a quick spray technique as well as a fast rate of fire. This powerful weapon had been added to the game way back in July 3rd and its removal came as a surprise as it was not announced by Fortnite. We are not sure if we will still see this special weapon soon.
New League of Legends Odyssey Skins Revealed
Riot Games will be adding six new skins to League of Legends with the Odyssey Extraction mode that is part of the 8.18 patch. The six new skins are for Odyssey Kayn, Sona, Jinx, Yasuo, Ziggs, and Malphit. The Kayn skin is Legendary and will cost players 1820 RP and the rest of the skins will be for a lower cost at 1350 RP only. The other things that are included is the return of the PvE in the Odyssey: Extraction. There will also be ward skins, emotes, icons and mission rewards as well.
Strange Brigade Gets New Character, Campaign, and Free Maps
Rebellion Games’ Strange Brigade will get free maps, a new hero, as well as a campaign. Players who own the game’s Season Pass will get the new hero as well as the new campaign, while everyone else who owns the game will get three new maps in Score Attack and one map in Horde mode. The new hero is Patrick ‘Bash’ Conaghan, an “ex-rodeo rider with an eye for danger and his ‘shocking’ Wrath of Quetzalcoatl amulet attack.” Season Pass owners can download him now. The free new maps will come in October.
Black Ops 4’s Blackout PC Beta Goes Live This Week
Just a few more days and the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 battle royale mode called Blackout will be launching by September 15th at 6 PM British time for everyone on PC. The new mode does have some interesting perks like silencing your footsteps or perhaps being alerted when somebody is aiming at you which you can activate at will. This feels like an unfair advantage though. But, there is the grappling hook which is something to look forward to in the game and it somehow redeems the strange advantages.
PUBG’s Concurrent Player Count Dips Below 1 Million for the First Time
For the first time ever since the game was released, the hit battle royale PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was not able to reach its one million daily players on PC. This report was according to Steam DB which recorded the player count as 960,000 only. The most probable cause of this is because of its rival battle royale game Fortnite which always has some very interesting updates, new features as well as a lot of celebrities playing. Also, PUBG had been plagued with cheaters, which had been a problem.
Endless Space 2 Gets AI Mod Support and Free Skins
Endless Space 2 players get an exciting treat through a free update that brings a host of new features to the game. One of the highlights of the update is the official release of AI modding which allows modders to modify the game’s AI. This feature will change the game in a variety of ways. The free update also comes with new skins, as well as a new lore.
SCUM’s Map May Get Larger
Early access survival game SCUM has a pretty big map, which spans about 144 square kilometers already. To get from one end to another will take quite some time so players discovered a new way to get from one point to another. Players found out that they can teleport themselves to the sky with the admin console and they were able to discover that the map is actually much bigger. When Devolver was asked whether this means the map could get bigger in the future, the company’s reply was that the areas accessible to prisoners may change over time.
One Piece: World Seeker Release Delayed to 2019
Bandai Namco has announced through a press release that their upcoming game, One Piece: World Seeker, will be released at a later date. It was expected to be released this year, however, the developers needed more time to work on the game so they decided to move its release. The game will come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year. An exact date has not been provided at this time.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Exploration Mode Scraps Map Markers
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey features two game modes: Guided Mode and Exploration Mode. The new exploration mode will give players a bit of a challenge in terms of acquiring quest objectives, since the player needs to investigate the world in order to uncover targets and quest objectives. According to the game’s description, Exploration Mode is the way the game is meant to be experienced. This mode puts away the Markers, and instead the game will provide clues where players can find them.
Lethal League Blaze Launches Next Month
Lethal League Blaze is a violent version of ball games that is set in the future and anti-gravity ball games were made illegal. So players went underground so they can still play. There will be an expanded roster of players that will try to hit their opponents with the other player launching back and parrying. It’s basically a fighting game with balls. It is a game that is easy to learn but hard to master. If this is your cup of tea, you will be able to play Lethal League Blaze on October 24th.

Forza Horizon 4 Demo Live Now
Forza Horizon 4 has gone gold, and is set to be released on October 2nd on PC and Xbox One, and if you want to hop in and try out the game, its demo is currently now available. The demo will have players experience four weather seasons. Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games did not mention which specific cars are available in the demo. The full game will include over 450 cars.
BlizzCon Virtual Ticket Includes Free Sombra Outfit
If you’re one of those who can’t make it to this year’s BlizzCon in Anaheim,California, don’t fret because Blizzard is offering virtual tickets for those who want to watch from home. The good news is that this virtual BlizzCon ticket also includes in-game items, and this year it’s a new Demon Hunter costume from Diablo for Overwatch’s Sombra! Rocket League’s Cross-Play Party System RocketID Delayed
The long awaited cross-play party system for Rocket League called RocketID will be delayed, as announced by Psyonix. The reason for the delay was so that the system will have a smooth launch. The company did not provide a timeframe on when the feature will become available, however, Psyonix promises to provide more information in their Fall/Winter blog update.
Fast Collapse Event Added to Black Ops 4 Blackout Beta
The Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout beta is currently underway on PS4, and Treyarch has already made a couple of tweaks just on the beta’s second day. First, they increased the player cap from 80 to 88. Secondly, they are adding Blackout’s first event playlist – Fast Collapse. This is a faster version of the battle royale mode where the play space is constrained at almost double the speed as the base game. Two more events will be added to Blackout after Fast Collapse.
Destiny 2 Forsaken’s Last Wish Raid Launch Time Revealed
The first Raid for Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion is about to begin, and we’ve got the details on when it will start. The Raid is called Last Wish, and it will start on Friday, September 14 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM BST / on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Details as to what players will actually be doing on the Last Wish Raid are yet to be revealed, but expect some awesome gear in exchange for completing the Raid.
Pirate Cervantes Stars in Latest Soulcalibur 6 Trailer
Souls will burn in Soulcalibur 6 as the pirate Cervantes will be making his comeback to the game! He will be one of the playable characters when the game officially launches on October 18th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. He made his first appearance in Soul Edge as the main antagonist. He has appeared in subsequent titles since then. Cervantes fights with two weapons which are the sword Acheron and the dagger Nirvana which has a pistol in the hilt.
Absolver’s Downfall Expansion Launches This Month
Online melee fighter Absolver will be getting its first major expansion called Downfall, and it is set to go live on September 25th for players on PC and PS4. The Downfall expansion will come as a free update to existing players of the game. This adds a significant amount of content to the game’s PvE and PvP. There’s a new Downfall game mode in PvE, where players set out in an exploration of the new Adalian Mines. Downfall’s PvP-focused additions come in the form of School Challenges with reworked leaderboards.
World of Warplanes Now on Steam Early Access
The aerial combat MMO action game World of Warplanes is now available on Steam Early Access. World of Warplanes will let players experience the golden age of of military aviation. It will throw players in a never-ending battle of aircrafts for dominance of the skies. It also allows aircraft enthusiasts to pursue full-scale careers as virtual pilots, earning their wings in intense 12-vs-12 battles where supremacy in the air depends on not only a fast trigger finger, but also coordinated teamwork.
Halo 5 is Not Coming to PC
Microsoft has shut down rumors of Halo 5 coming to PC. This comes after a product listing that appears like it’s saying that the game won’t be exclusive to the Xbox One was discovered. “As we’ve shared previously, we do not have plans to launch Halo 5: Guardians on Windows 10 PC,” a representative for Microsoft said in an interview with CNET. So to make it clear, Halo 5 will be an Xbox One exclusive game.
Absolver Expansion Brings New Fighting Style Inspired By Bruce Lee
Absolver’s Downfall expansion will be introducing a new combat style to the game in addition to the new game mode and school challenges. The new combat style is called Faejin , and it is inspired by Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do martial art and philosophy. This combat style, however is a tricky style to master, so players will need “to balance the fluidly powered offense with different defensive abilities that shift with their stance.” Absolver: Downfall is due out on September 25.
Battle Royale Shooter Ring of Elysium Heads to Steam Next Week
Chinese publisher Tencent will be launching its battle royale shooter Ring of Elysium in the West soon! The game will be heading to Steam on September 19th, and it will be the Early Access version. The game differs from other battle royale games in terms of its weather mechanics. And unlike PUBG or Fortnite, up to four players can win a match – they are asked to head over to an extraction helicopter instead of being the only one left alive.
