OCTOBER 13 PART 1
Kingdom Come Deliverance’s Hans Capon DLC Launching October 16th
Kingdom Come Deliverance will be getting its latest expansion, and it is set to arrive October 16th. The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon will task players into helping Hans Capon as he attempts to win the heart of Karolina. The task involves “a lost family jewel, a magic love potion, and the most romantic poem of all time.” This new content will also come with the Rattay Combat Tournament which is a free update.
Earthfall Horde Mode and Player Progression Coming This Month
Earthfall is getting a major update starting October 30th and it is called the Invasion Update. Two notable things that are included are the introduction of the new horde mode and the new progression system. In the new Horde mode, players will be tasked to fight back against waves of aliens on the four new maps also included in the update. The progression system, on the other hand, will allow players to work their way up 50 levels to unlock new cosmetics and character abilities.
Goldeneye is Being Remade for PC
Modder Ben Colclough is attempting to bring back the 1997 N64 game GoldenEye which is based on the 1995 Bond movie of Pierce Brosnan of the same name. He plans to finish the game by its 25th anniversary which is in 2022. The new mod is being rebuilt with Unreal Engine 4 and it will come with the game’s complete story campaign. The initial plan of Colclough was to port the game from the N64 version but later decided on building it from the ground up because of the scope of the first adaptation.
Day and Night Cycle in Blackout a Possibility
It is possible that Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s Blackout would get a day and night cycle. David Vonderhaar, the game’s design director said that it is possible for Blackout to have a day and night cycle but they would want to first make sure that it will not impact the performance of the current time of day. The statement does suggest that we might see a night and day cycle in the game in the future if it would not hinder the game’s performance, possibly a future update?
Darwin Project Has Reached 2 Million Downloads, Halloween Content Update Announced
The battle royale game Darwin Project has reached 2 million downloads in Xbox One through the Xbox Game Preview program. This news was shared by Scavengers Studio Creative Director Simon Darveau who also expressed his gratitude to players of the game. He also announced that there will be new updates coming to the game, with the first one coming October 16th. Darwin Project is also available on PC.
Warriors Orochi 4 Shows New Trailer Featuring Kyubi
Koei Tecmo released a new trailer for Warriors Orochi 4 which showcases the nine-tailed fox Kyubi in action. The trailer shows her taking on hundreds of troops. The Kyubi is actually voted as the 10th favorite character from the Warriors Orochi series with 214 votes, Koei Tecmo revealed. Warriors Orochi 4 launches in North America on October 16th, and in Europe on October 19th for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Saint Seya Characters Join Jump Force
Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed two new characters coming to Jump Force and they’re none other than Saint Seiya’s Pegasus Seiya and Dragon Shiryu. The company revealed them through a new trailer that showcases both of them in action. Jump Force is becoming one of the games with the most interesting crossovers, with characters from Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Death Note, Bleach, Hunter X Hunter, and Yu-Gi-Oh! joining the roster. The game will be available February 2019.
Pax Nova Head Into Early Access in December
The epic space opera called Pax Nova will be coming to Steam Early Access by December 2018. The game is set apart from other space games because it seamlessly blends together a space layer and planetary strategy. The devs expect to keep the game in early access for about two to three months. They plan to regularly release content updates that include new factions, new quests, additional technologies as well as localization to multiple languages.
Battlestar Galactica Deadlock Announces DLC
Battlestar Galactica Deadlock will be getting its “most significant expansion” called the Anabasis DLC. This expansion will bring a new survival/skirmish mode, called Operation Anabasis where players will be taking command of a single fleet which comprises of both military and civilian ships. Each playthrough in Operation Anabasis will be unique and completely randomized. This expansion contains a new game mode, 11 new skirmish maps, 4 new ammunition types and 12 new resource missions.
Conan Exiles Gets New Update
Just five months after its launch, Conan Exiles has received its biggest update. The update is free for anyone who owns the game. The update brings the ability to tame animals in the game, use them for battle, or build a farm where these animals can produce materials for players. A new dungeon called Midnight Grove has also been introduced. You can check out more information on this update through Steam.

Blizzard Says Diablo 3 Cross-Play a Possibility, But Won’t Happen Soon
The rumors of Diablo 3 having cross-play support has finally been laid to rest by Blizzard. In their statement, they said that they do love the idea of bringing the players together across the different platforms, but they do not have any plans to do so “at this time”. Diablo 3 is available in a lot of different consoles making it a great candidate for cross-play. However, with Blizzard’s statement, it may seem that there is still hope for having cross-play but just not at the moment.
Crusader Kings 2 Holy Fury Expansion Release Date Revealed
Paradox Interactive has announced their newest expansion called Holy Fury which will be launching on November 13th, available for £15.49 or €19.99. The expansion is huge, in fact, it is bigger than the previous expansions it also has a random world generation. The main thing about this expansion is that it will be expanding the religious side of the game. Expect more complex crusades, clergy blessed coronations, and pagan religions with new custom rules plus so much more.
Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2 Are Free to Play Next Weekend
If you have nothing fun to do next weekend, check out Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2 as these games will be free to play. This is called the Free Play Days event where both Xbox One and PC gamers can play these Halo spinoffs for free from October 18th to the 21st. During this time Xbox One players can download and play Halo Wars 2 and PC gamers, on the other hand, can play Halo Wars: Definitive Edition on Steam. No information was given though if the games will be on sale after the free play which is usually the case.
New Extended Gameplay for Thronebreaker Released
CD Projekt Red has released an extended gameplay video for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. The gameplay featured the game’s map and its kingdoms, some characters, side quests, discoveries, and more. One can’t also help but notice the game’s striking 2D cutscenes and conversations. CD Projekt Red also showcased the game’s war camp where most upgrades take place. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales will be available starting October 27th.
Blackout Won’t Have a Prestige Option
Remember Call of Duty’s “Prestige” where players can reset their online progress in exchange for an icon placed next to their name? Well, that will not be available in the Black Ops 4 battle royale mode Blackout. It will, however, be available in the regular multiplayer mode. Blackout has a max level cap of 80 and earning progress is quite different as well. A merit system is available which is based on the number of kills in a single match or the player’s placement in the battle royale.
Hitman 2 Gets a Multiplayer Versus Mode
Competitive multiplayer is coming to Hitman 2 with the addition of Ghost Mode. Ghost Mode is a 1 versus 1 online mode that pits players against another player to see which one is the quickest to eliminate a target as cleanly as possible. Each one’s goal is to earn 5 points before the other one does, with each kill granting a single point. To get a point, the player must hide the body without it getting found, and without harming NPCs. This mode will be available when Hitman 2 launches November 13th.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Lets You Customize Your Weapons in a Lot of Ways
Rockstar Games has revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will feature over 50 weapons, ranging from revolvers to shotguns and rifles. Each weapon will feel different, but you can only carry as much as a person can realistically do, with your horse providing a stash where you can switch guns on the go. Each weapon is also customizable, giving players the ability to make each weapon their own. You can also customize what types of ammo you fire from your guns.
Darksiders 3 Horde Mode Will Come as DLC
Darksiders 3 will be getting its first two expansions The Crucible and Keepers of the Void. While Keepers of the Void will add a puzzle dungeon to the game, The Crucible, on the other hand, will add a single-player Horde mode. In The Crucible, Fury’s skills will be put to test as she’s invited in an arena where she will fight off waves upon waves of enemies, competing for a chance to unlock items and rewards. Both of these expansions will be launching after Darksiders 3’s release.
Command and Conquer Remasters Won’t Have Microtransactions
It looks like the Command & Conquer remasters coming in 2020 for the series’ won’t be including microtransactions. After the announcement on Reddit by producer Jim Vessella, user Electrifyer was quick to ask about microtransactions. Vessella responded with a clear statement saying, “we will not be adding any microtransactions to a C&C Remaster.” This should be good news for fans of the series, although other RTS games have found microtransactions to work nicely as long as they’re kept to cosmetics.
Hitman 2 Sniper Assassin Will Get More Maps
The online co-op mode Hitman 2 Sniper Assassin will be getting new maps as an expanded version of the game. Io Interactive community manager Travis Barbour explains that Sniper Assassin is “not just a stand alone pre-order thing, it’ll be in the game from the get-go”. With that being said, Sniper Assassin will actually be a full game mode for Hitman 2 having more maps available for it. Originally, Sniper Assassin was just a single-map play mode for those who were able to pre-order Hitman 2.
Players Discover Splitscreen Option in Blackout
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 recently released and those who were able to play first discovered that Blackout offers a local split-screen play. This has also been shared via a Reddit post showing two players playing in the battle royale mode in local split screen and each player is located in a different location on the map. This is applicable to those playing on consoles like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with separate controllers. PC players would find this hard to do though.
