Freedm Fighters Easter Egg Found in Hitman 2

Freedom Fighters, that 2003 third-person shooter video game, can be seen as an Easter Egg in Hitman 2. This was observed via PCgamesN’s preview. Players will see this in the Columbia Map inside a bar as a Freedom Fighters arcade cabinet. If you know about the game, this is a very nostalgic sight to see. Having seen this, it could be possible that a brand new Freedom Fighters entry could be available soon. Hitman 2 is set to launch by November 13th and it will be available to play for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Season Two of Overwatch League to Start in February

The second season of the Overwatch League will be arriving later than what was anticipated. Last year the season started on January but this time, it will be starting on February 14, as announced by Blizzard. There will be 20 teams playing which are Boston Uprising, Dallas Fuel, Florida Mayhem, Huston Outlaws, London Spitfire, Los Angeles Gladiators, Los Angeles Valiant, New York Excelsior, Philadelphia Fusion, San Francisco Shock, Seoul Dynasty, and Shanghai Dragons, plus there will be 8 new teams.

XCOM 2 is Currently Free to Play

Players May Soon Change Their PSN Name

Sony has announced that the option to change your PSN ID will be rolled out in early 2019. Users will be able to use the service for free once, and then be charged a fee for every use after the first. Sony also says that the feature may not be compatible with some games published before April 1, 2018. If users encounter issues, they can opt to rollback the change for free. Sony will release a list of compatible games published before April first for reference when the service launches.

Star Citizen Gameplay Shows Planet Hurston, Purchasing Ships, and More

Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games shared a new gameplay as well as trailers for the game during the CitizenCon 2018. It featured a mission starting in the huge Planet Hurston. The planet is massive and breathtaking. It has different biomes and is about one-sixth the size of the Earth. Purchasing ships had also been seen, and this is a brand new ability. You can purchase the ships by using the in-game currency that you gained, which is exclusively earned in the game to buy the ship.

For Honor Surpasses 15 Million Players

Ubisoft has announced that For Honor, the multiplayer PVP brawler, has just surpassed 15 million total players since it launched back in February 2017. News of the milestone comes just days before the launch of the massive Marching Fire update, which brings a new Chinese martial arts themed faction dubbed the Wu Lin, a new 4v4 breach mode, an Arcade Mode, and a few other improvements. Marching Fire launches on October 16th. For Honor is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Black Ops 4’s Blood of the Dead Map Showcased in New Trailer

Treyarch has released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and it is for one of the three maps that will be added to the game. It is for the remake of the Mob of the Dead map which had been titled Blood of the Dead. The trailer looks amazing with its slow-motion shots of the different locations, weapons, and characters that the map will bring while the Easter Egg song, Where Are We Going is playing in the background. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will launch on October 12th for PC, Play Station 4 and Xbox One.

Bandai Releases Trailer for Black Clover: Quartet Knights Character Klaus Lunettes

A new character trailer has been released for Black Clover: Quartet Knights’ character Klaus Lunettes. Klaus is a member of the Golden Dawn squad. He is known as a strategic character being able to summon barriers on the battlefield. His special ability is called Steel Magic that has several useful abilities. Special Shooting that allows him to shoot shotgun blasts of magic to hit multiple enemies. Black Clover: Quarter Knights will launch mid-September 2019 for PC and PlayStation 4.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is September’s Top Downloaded Game in PS4

The Playstation blog has revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man sits atop the September chart for digital downloads on the platform. No surprise here as the game has already been reported to be on its way to becoming one of the year’s best-selling games. It is followed by NBA 2K19 and FIFA 19 at second and third place respectively. Another big September release barely made it to the top ten though, with Shadow of the Tomb Raider sitting only at ninth place.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Has Impressive First Week Sales

Great news was shared by Ubisoft about their recently-released game, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. According to their press release, the game was able to get the best first-week launch sales performance for the franchise in the current-generation consoles. The Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Ubisoft, Geoffroy Sardin said that he is “proud of what the team has accomplished with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey”. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launched on October 5 and can be played on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Resident Evil 2 Details Lickers in New Gameplay

Capcom has shared new gameplay footage for the Resident Evil 2 remake. The video shows Claire Redfield as she finds herself face to face with Lickers, terrifying wall crawlers with no skin and exposed brains. The clip shows them moving swiftly from the walls to the ceiling and quickly lunging at Claire every chance they get. It’s clear that Capcom is sticking to returning the series to its horror roots with this entry, just as they did with Resident Evil 7.


Destiny 2 Expansion Pass to be Included in Forsaken Soon

Destiny 2’s Forsaken expansion will now include the game’s Expansion Pass for free starting October 16th. Bungie hopes this move will encourage more players to try Forsaken. This new deal will get them Curse of Osiris and Warmind which are required before players can take on Forsaken, and only for a little more than half the price of the Forsaken Complete Collection. Those who already purchased the expansion prior to October 16th will get unique rewards.

Rocket League Announces First Double XP Weekend

For the first time ever, Rocket League will be running a double XP weekend! It starts today and will end on Monday, October 15th, 10 AM Pacific Time. This is quite significant as the game reconfigured how the item drops work. This time, for every new level earned, a random item will be dropped. What this means is that if you are a player who thinks that the game’s cosmetics is important then experience points would matter a lot to you too. Think of the new system as XP being the gatekeeper to non-crate items.

Command and Conquer Might Get a Remaster for 25th Anniversary

EA is exploring the possibility of having a Command and Conquer remaster for the game’s 25th anniversary. That is roughly two years from now and the publisher said that the first effort for it to be a reality is in the works. The original real-time strategy series game Command and Conquer came out in 1995. The idea of having the remaster came about during the Command and Conquer: Rivals mobile game reveal where the community suggested that they want the franchise to make a return to the PC.

Fortnite’s Quad Bike Can Smash Through Walls

A new vehicle is coming to Fortnite and it is a quad bike that can smash through structures. It is called the QuadCrasher! The official description says that it “can be charged up to smash through structures” so most possibly it has a charging system somewhat like the Mario Kart drift boost, but we would have to wait for further announcements to confirm that. The description also said that it could “get some air”, so, could it jump high enough on ramps? We will know more with the official announcement.

Quake Champions Gets Slipgate Mode and New Character

Quake Champions’ new update this month is already live and it adds a new mode as well as a new champion named Athena. The new mode is called Slipgate, and it is an attack and defend type of mode. This also includes a festival where players will earn rewards when the community reaches a goal. The festival runs until October 31st. The new champion, on the other hand is Athena, and she is equipped with a grappling hook. Her starting stats are:125 health, 50 armor, and 320 speed.

NBA 2K19 MyTeam Unlimited Tournament Kicks Off This Weekend

This weekend is the start of the MyTeam Unlimited 250,000 dollars tournament for NBA 2K19. This new mode will pit 5-on-5 players and allow you to earn rewards depending on your record. In the tournament, you will be able to select 13 cards from your collection and choose the players from the league that is based on the packs that you were able to open. The competition is intense as the prize money is quite high so make sure to put your best cards forward. Also, participants must be 18 years or older.

Darksiders 3 Will Get Two Post-Launch DLC

Darksiders 3 is getting 2 post-launch DLC called the Crucible and the Keepers of the Void. Both can be played once you finish the game. The Crucible will have Fury battle with endless hordes of enemies. Complete the challenge and be rewarded with new items. Keepers of the Void, on the other hand, will send Fury from Vulgrim to Serpent Holes to check the rumors about a deadly ancient threat, finishing this rewards you with The Abyssal Armor. Dark Siders 3 launches on November 27th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Survey Says Players Anticipate Black Ops 4 Over Red Dead Redemption 2

A recent survey done by Nielsen Game Rank suggests that Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is the game that players anticipate most this holiday season. Black Ops 4 got a score of 99. The next one on the list is Red Dead Redemption 2 with a score of 97. Battlefield 5 and Fallout 76 came in third and fourth places respectively. The survey also showed other highly-anticipated games this holiday season: Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Hitman 2, FIFA 19, NBA Live 19, NBA 2K19, and WWE 2K19.

Cities Skylines Will Be Getting an Industries DLC for PC

A new Industries DLC is coming to Cities Skylines for PC. This coming October 23rd, the Industries expansion will be made available for PC players and it will include a more in depth way on how to manage the industrial areas in cities. This will introduce some specialized buildings as well as the ability to manage a production chain. You will also get to manage the traffic and logistics with some new cargo services. A new mail delivery system, new maps, new policies and so much more are also included.

Black Ops 4 Has Sprays and Emotes

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will come with sprays and emotes. This is something that Overwatch is known for and it is now coming to Black Ops 4. With the game’s Gestures, the camera will pull back from the first person to the third person so that you can watch your character’s Gesture. So far, this includes unstoppable, bravo, good job and fist-bump. The sprays work like all other sprays in any multiplayer FPS games. With the camera switch for the Gestures, a possible “emote peeking” could happen though.

Star Citizen Squadron 42 Gets Star-Studded New Trailer

Cloud Imperium Games launched a new gameplay trailer for Star Citizen: Squadron 42. It features an all-star cast with Mark Hamill, Gillian Anderson, Gary Oldman, Henry Cavill, Mark Strong, Liam Cunningham, Andy Serkis, Ben Mendelsohn, and John Rhys Davies. Originally Squadron 42 was supposed to be the single-player portion of Star Citizen but it became a complete standalone experience.
