Fallout 76 Microtransactions Currency is Called Atoms

Bethesda revealed that the currency for Fallout 76’s microtransactions are called ‘Atoms’. These can be earned by purchasing it with real money or also by completing some in-game tasks. Pete Hines from Bethesda said that even though players are able to purchase the Atoms with real-world money, the items that can be purchased in-game are still limited. Bethesda has confirmed that the Atoms can only purchase skins and outfits but not the Special perk card packs. Fallout 76 launches on November 14.


Treyarch Teases Snowy Nuketown Map for Black Ops 4

With Call of Duty Black Ops 4 releasing just days away, Treyarch released a teaser about one of the game’s maps which is Nuketown! The tease came as an image via a Tweet and it looks very Russian. The Nuketown map has been a staple for the Black Ops series so it would be sad if it wasn’t available in the fourth entry. The logo for the Nuketown map this time looks very different, and it looks like it will be set in an environment that would have snow which is a first for the map. We will get to know more soon.


Tetris Effect Physical Edition Announced

Tetris Effect is coming out in a month and a physical edition, as well as the game’s pre-order bonuses, have been revealed. The game’s physical edition will be available for PlayStation 4 all thanks to Sony. This will launch at the same time with the digital version which is on November 9th. Pre-orders of the game are now available and it will come with a bonus soundtrack, PS4 avatars, as well as new PS4 dynamic theme. Also, a 10 % discount is available for those pre-ordering in North America and Europe.


The Sims 4 Get Famous Heads to PC in November

The newest expansion pack for The Sims 4 called ‘Get Famous’ will be releasing on November 16th for PC and Mac. The expansion will allow your Sim to have a career as a famous person in the spotlight. You can be an actor doing jobs like commercials or other bigger productions. You can also take on the career of being an “influencer” where you create vlogs or live stream the things that you do. When you are famous, you can rub elbows with other celebrities in exclusive parties with your fans.


Hunt: Showdown Teases Lawson Delta Map

Hunt: Showdown released a teaser for the game’s second map, Lawson Delta. The trailer shows the town as a place that is becoming infested with the undead. The map is set in Louisiana after the Civil War. These are the only details available at this time with more concrete details coming at this year’s TwitchCon which will happen from October 26th until the 28th. Hunt: Showdown combines PvP and PvE elements as the player fights alongside a friend to win a bounty. The game is currently on Early Access.


Borderlands 2 Heading to Playstation VR This December

Borderlands 2 will be coming to PlayStation VR and it will be arriving on December 14th. Borderlands 2 VR will have the core experience of the game plus the original four Vault Hunters are available as well. The biggest change however that would come to the VR version is that the game is completely single-player only. This is something new as the game had been known for its co-op gameplay. Of course, additional changes are present for the quality of life improvements for the VR version of Borderlands 2.


Fortnite Deep Freeze Bundle Coming to Retail

Epic Games has announced that Fortnite is headed to retail with a new Deep Freeze Bundle. The bundle will contain the Frostbite Outfit, Cold Front Glider, Chill-Axe Pickaxe, Freezing Point Back Bling, and 1,000 V-Bucks. Epic has teamed up with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertaiment for a worldwide retail distribution partnership, bringing the bundle to Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch starting November 13th. The bundle can also be purchased digitally in-game.


EverQuest 2: Chaos Descending Beta Access Available for Pre-Orders

Pre-orders for EverQuest 2: Chaos Descending is now available! Get yours and you will automatically get the beta access to the expansion. This newest expansion will have an expanded lore having the Elemental Planes of Order in chaos. You must return to the planes and bring it back to order. There will also be new elemental planes to explore like new zones, dungeons, quest and so much more. New mount features are also available. Everquest II: Chaos Descending will be releasing on November 13, 2018.


Sci-fi Thriller Observation Announced

Devolver Digital has announced a new sci-fi thriller called Observation. The game is being developed by veterans from well-known studios. Observation tasks players to take on the role of S.A.M., the artificial intelligence operating the titular space station. By operating the Observation’s various control systems, cameras and tools, players will assist Dr. Emma Fisher in discovering the mystery behind the crew’s disappearance. It is slated for a 2019 release on PC and PS4.


Crazy Machines PC Release Date Announced

The virtual reality game Crazy Machines is heading to PC! The game will be releasing via Steam and will be playable through HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality on October 25th. A PSVR version of the game will be released on a later date. Crazy Machines features intricate puzzles that will surely tease your brain. Let your imaginations run like crazy as you design and solve these puzzles using VR technology. The game comes with 5 chapters and 40 levels you can enjoy.


Planet Coaster World Fair Pack to Release Next Week

Planet Coaster will be receiving a massive premium update called the World’s Fair Pack. The update will add ten new international themes that feature unique shops, restaurants, scenery items and billboards. a new transport coaster called Polarity that uses magnetism to propel itself will also be included, as well as a the Jixxer and Interceptor, two launched motorcycle coasters. Over 300 building items have also been added based on the international themes.

Forza Horizon 4 Player Count Reaches 2 Million in First Week

Forza Horizon 4 is off to a great start! In its first week since launch, the game has achieved to reach 2 million players on PC and Xbox One, Microsoft reports. The company has not provided the complete details on how they came up with this number, nor did they say whether this also includes those who played the demo. Microsoft also shared that it will be releasing a new free-for-all feature called Route Creator on October 25th.


Latest Sea of Thieves Update Introduces Cargo Runs

Sea of Thieves’ Forsaken Shores update introduces Cargo Runs which will help players rise through the ranks of the Merchant Alliance. This will be done by having players take on multiple contracts like some sort of a delivery relay. Cargo runs also includes rowboats which will also help people move goods back and forth. The Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is Now on PC

After being initially delayed, the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is finally on PC! Capcom has confirmed this through its US Twitter account. If you want to get your hands on the game, you’ll get to purchase this on Steam. The Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle contains these seven games: Final Fight, Captain Commando, The King of Dragons, Knights of the Round, and Warriors of Fate. It also includes Armored Warriors and Battle Circuit which were previously unavailable on consoles.


Destiny 2 Haunted Forest Included in Halloween Festivities

Bungie has announced what awaits in Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost Halloween event. This event includes a limited-time activity that brings players to the Haunted Forest. In the Haunted Forest, players will be given 15 minutes to push as far as they can into the forest. They can choose to do this alone, or with a pre-made fire team or even matchmade teammates. Players earn a Steadfast Engram and an Ephemeral Engram each time their XP bar reaches max level. This event runs until November 6th.


Return of the Obra Dinn Release Date Announced

Developer Lucas Pope took to Twitter to announce his eerie mystery game Return of the Obra Dinn. The game is set to be released on Thursday, October 18th, and will be available for PC and Mac. Pope previously announced that the game will be released in Fall of this year. Return of the Obra Dinn puts you in the shoes of an insurance agent for the East India Company who suddenly finds himself involved in a mystery involving a vessel with a missing crew.


MapleStory 2 Now Free-to-Play

Nexon’s MMO MapleStory 2 is out now, and the good news is it’s now free-to-play! The game comes out fresh from its paid closed beta last week, and also marks its English debut. You can get your copy of the game on its official website and on Steam. MapleStory 2 combines RPG, platforming, anime, and Minecraft-ish building elements in one game. It was a hit both in Japan and Korea.


Rock Band 4 Turns Three, Celebrates with New Track Skins

It is Rock Band 4’s third year anniversary and Harmonix is celebrating this by adding new track skins. Normally, the note highway has just a dark color with some light design work, but this time players would be able to choose from a variety of different skins to change its look a little. Initially, there will be 27 tracks available, however, more will be released in the future. The anniversary patch will also come with different changes like fixed scoring issues, improved performance and so much more.


For Honor’s Marching Fire Expansion Detailed in New Trailer

Ubisoft will be launching a huge free update in For Honor, and it comes with the expansion Marching Fire. This expansion will be rolling out on October 16th. Ubisoft said that Marching Fire is the game’s largest update since its launch back in 2017. It introduces new elements to the game including a new faction, the Wu Lin. The 4v4 PvP Breach mode will also be available to everyone who owns the base game.


Fortnite’s Popular Skull Trooper Skin is Back

One of Fortnite’s most popular skins is back in time for the Halloween! Epic Games is bringing the Skull Trooper skin back after it was removed last year. It was briefly available during last year’s Halloween event. A female version of the skin called Skull Ranger will also be available this time. If you previously owned the skin, you get exclusive access to its special black and purple color option. Both skins are available now in the Fortnite shop. There’s no word until when this will be around, so get it while you still can.


Star Citizen Gets Face-Streaming Chat Feature in New Alpha 3.3 Update

Developer Cloud Imperium Games releases a huge update for their very ambitious space sim called Star Citizen. The update Alpha 3.3 as it is called added some very intriguing features one of which is the “Face over IP”. This is a level up from the traditional voice chat. To make this into a reality, Cloud Imperium worked with Hazelight. The feature can use any standard webcam and can track the facial features real-time. Anything other than the face cannot be broadcasted in this feature.


New Disco Domination Limited-Time Mode Now Live in Fortnite

Epic Games will take players dancing in Fortnite as its limited-time mode Disco Domination is now available in the game. Players will be divided into two teams of 32 and they will be tasked to dance on dance floors which are scattered all over the map. They will have to eliminate other players in the area before they can hop on the dance floor and use an emote to dance. A disco ball will rise once players do so. The more teammates on the floor, the faster the disco ball rises.
