Call of Duty: Modern Warfare File Size is a Whopping 175GB

Activision has revealed the PC system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and it shows the game will need a whopping 175 GB hard drive space to install it. At this point, it is not clear if this was a simple typo from Activision. Looking at some of the features of the game, the huge file size could be because of ultra high-resolution textures, as well as its huge maps. The game also has CGI cutscenes as well as language options.


The Division 2’s Title Update 6 Launches October 15th

Ubisoft has announced the launch date for The Division 2’s upcoming Title Update 6. The update rolls out October 15th, and will bring two new stories and Classified Assignments. It will also include a new character specialization, a PvP mode, as well as a multiplayer map. The update will also add cosmetics and in-game fixes. Taito’s The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors finally gets a western release date, after much delays. The game will be available in North America starting October 15th, and can be purchased for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is a remake of the classic Japanese arcade game The Ninja Saviors, also created by Taito. Return of the Warriors features a new engine, new modes including Time Attack and two-player co-op, and two unlockable characters.


Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Enhancements Revealed

Rockstar has revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC version will include some enhancements which will allow players to experience a “deeper immersion” in the game. These enhancements include increased, higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion, improved reflections and higher resolution shadows, and higher quality snow trails, among many others. The PC version will also support HDR and multi-monitor configurations, including 4K.


Rocket League Gets Stranger Things Tie-In

Rocket League is hosting a Stranger Things tie-in for its Halloween event this year. The event kicks off October 14th and will run until November 11th. During this period, players will be able to unlock Stranger Things-themed items, as well as take their matches in the Halloween version of the Farmstead arena. The stage will have an Upside Down makeover and features blood-red skies and the Mind Flayer.


The Last of Us 2’s Environment Revealed to be “Much Wider”

Rockstar is bringing extra content in Red Dead Redemption 2 when it launches for PC. According to Rockstar, the story mode in the PC version will have new bounty hunter missions, more gang hideouts, and new treasure maps. PC players will also enjoy more weapons including the High Roller Revolver and Evans Repeater which were only available in Red Dead Online. Special bonuses also await players which they can claim through trinkets, plus more rewards to earn with a brand-new mission called “To The Ends of the Earth.”


Mortal Kombat 11 Free Weekend for PS4 and Xbox One Announced

Mortal Kombat 11 is free to play for the weekend on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. From October 11th until the 14th, players on the mentioned consoles will be able to try two chapters of the story mode, the 1-versus-1 mode with the base fighter roster, The Krypt, Fatality Training, and also Towers of Time where The Terminator is playable. The game is also available at a discount during the free weekend and will run until October 20th on the Microsoft Store, November 1st on the Sony Store, and from October 15th until November 21st on the Nintendo eShop.

Paradox revealed the final faction for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The faction is called The Unseen; they are home to the Underground and exclusively made up of Nosferatu. The Unseen has a history of being excluded by vampires and are also called Clan of the Hidden. They started out as homeless vampires, but now they have grown and are being led by The Council of Three — they are known for trading secrets and gathering intelligence and are composed mostly of journalists, hackers, and engineers.


Oxenfree Downloaded 3 Million Times on Xbox Game Pass

Night School Studios has revealed that its supernatural mystery graphic adventure game Oxenfree has been downloaded 3 million times through Xbox Game Pass. The game has sold over 1 million copies. Xbox Game Pass is a premium subscription from Microsoft which grants members unlimited access to its roster of first and third-party titles.


Steam Might Be Getting Auto Online Support for Local Multiplayer Games

Steam might be rolling out a new feature which will offer automatic online support for multiplayer games. The feature, called Remote Play Together, is currently published on Steamworks, however only developers currently have access to it. The post revealed the feature will be rolling out in beta on October 21st, and will allow “two or more players to enjoy local multiplayer games over the internet, together.”


PC is Now Destiny 2’s Biggest Platform

Data from community-built tracker, Charlemagne, shows that PC is now Destiny 2’s biggest platform. The site revealed that 41% of Destiny 2 players are on Steam, while 34% of players are on PlayStation 4. The remaining 25% is comprised of Xbox One players. The increase in number of PC players can be attributed to the game’s jump to Steam — the game was previously on Battle.Net with only 22% of players.


Rockstar Launcher Offers Over 100 Dollars of Free Games with Red Dead Redemption 2 Pre-Order

Players who pre-order Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC on the Rockstar Launcher will get 105 Dollars worth of free games and DLCs. Pre-ordering until October 22nd will reward players with two Rockstar games, and players can pick between GTA 3, Bully Scholarship Edition, GTA San Andreas, GTA Vice City, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition, or Max Payne 3: The Complete Edition. Players can also take advantage of a free edition upgrade. The offer is only available from Rockstar Games.


Journey for Elysium Launches Later This Month

Story-drive VR game Journey for Elysium has received its release date. The game will be available starting October 31st for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Journey for Elysium tells the story of an unnamed hero who passed away and is trapped in the Underworld. The hero wants redemption and aims to reach Elysium. Players will be solving puzzles, and can choose from two modes, Comfort or Immersive.


Some Details on Stardew Valley’s ‘Everything Update’ Shared

Stardew Valley’s next big update is still on the way, and its creator, ConcernedApe’, revealed some details about what to expect. Update 1.4, also dubbed the “everything update,” will “[touch] pretty much every aspect of the game in some way or another,” according to ConcernedAPe. He added that one of his major goals was to “add in a lot of ‘quality of life’ features that make the game more convenient and effortless to play.” The update will also include “some depth to post-marriage life.”


Dark Devotion PS4 and Switch Release Date Announced

Action RPG Dark Devotion is currently available on PC, and Hibernian Workshop has revealed that it will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The game’s release date for the said platforms is on October 24, 2019. Dark Devotion features four unique worlds that each have its own detailed environments. Players will be able to choose from dozens of weapons and fight bosses who are out to “destroy your soul and damn you forever.”


Harvest Moon: Mad Dash Coming to Europe

Harvest Moon: Mad Dash is coming to Europe later this month. The game will be available on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 starting October 29th, while its physical versions will be released on November 15th. Harvest Moon: Mad Dash will have players work as quickly as they can as they try to fulfill orders in each level. The game can be played solo or in multiplayer.


Apex Legends’ World’s Edge Map Vaults Now Accessible

The mysterious locked vaults of Apex Legends are now accessible. This is a part of the new World’s Edge map. To unlock the vaults a key card would be needed, and players are able to get them from the drones that can be found across the map. You can just shoot them down and they could drop the key cards. There are three vaults available and they are the Lava City, Geyser, and Train Yard. Once you get a hold of the key, these will show up on the map. Samurai Shodown is getting a new DLC character on October 15th and it is none other than Basara the Executioner. Basara was first seen in Samurai Shodown 3 and he is a total madman. He seemingly enjoys every cut that he makes on his enemies as he laughs while doing it. He wields a three-sided shuriken that is attached to a chain. Basara is available with the season pass for $19.99 USD or can be purchased individually for $5.99 USD. Kazuki Kasama will launch by November and Wan-Fu by December of this year.


New Murder Mystery Game Murder By Numbers Announced

Meditonic has announced a new game titled Murder By Numbers. Players will be playing as a TV detective named Honor who’s working alongside their cop partner, a robot called SCOUT. Honor has been accused of murder, and with the help of SCOUT, she will investigate crime scenes and find evidence by solving picross puzzles. She will also need to question other suspects and use the evidence she gathered to uncover the truth. Murder By Numbers is due out in early 2020 for PC and Nintendo Switch.


Episode 2 of Year 1 Content Coming to The Division 2

The Division 2’s Episode 2 – Pentagon: The Last Castle will be available for Year 1 pass holders starting October 15th. Episode 2 brings two new main missions, the new Technician specialization, and two more classified assignments. The two new main missions will have players recover a bioreactor from the Pentagon — the bioreactor is used to replicate antiviral samples. Players will also be facing off with Black Tusk, which made itself at home in the Pentagon.


Sea of Thieves Gets Private Servers

It looks like Rare will be working on adding private servers to Sea of Thieves, although it might take them a while to complete it. In a latest dev video, executive producer Joe Neate said, “We’ve talked in the past – and more recently – about the potential for private servers in the future for Sea of Thieves.” He added that it’s on their mid-term roadmap, and although it’s not in the “immediate stuff [they’re] working on at the moment,” they definitely intend to add private server support in the future.
