Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Has Highest Concurrent Count in the Series

Steam stats reveal that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has reached quite a huge number of concurrent players on the platform. The report comes from GitHyp which stated that the series has set a new record and garnered 62,000 concurrent players on Steam last week. This is a 33% increase over Assassin’s Creed Origins which released last year and reached a record of 41,000 players. This makes Odyssey the highest played title in the series to date in terms of Steam concurrent players.


Fortnite Teases New Weapon

It looks like there’s another weapon coming to Fortnite! The game’s in-game News feed shows a new type of gun which is the Quad Launcher. It is currently marked as “coming soon.” The description says the Quad Launcher is similar to the Rocket Launcher, and can shoot out four missiles. This weapon may be launching as part of this week’s update, but we’ll have to wait until Epic Games officially posts an announcement.


Red Dead Redemption 2 NPCs Will Guide You When Mini Map is Turned Off

Red Dead Redemption 2 has a cool feature that will only work when players turn off the mini-map. In the game, players use the mini map to navigate their way across the world. But in case you want to completely turn off the mini map, you won’t have to worry about navigation as NPCs will step in and help you. Their dialogue will include directions to routes landmarks as you have a conversation with them. This will be available when Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on October 26th.


Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition Includes Awesome Skins

The Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition offers some amazing skins for both Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy. There are a total of 5 skins included in this edition. The first one for Claire is the Elza Walker costume from the scrapped Resident Evil 1.5, having what looks like a motorcycle suit. The next one is her military costume, and the third one is a noir-inspired outfit. Leon will also have the noir outfit plus a sheriff’s costume. Resident Evil 2 will launch on January 25, 2019, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.


New Hitman 2 Gameplay Shows Off Agent 47 in Columbia

Hitman 2 will be heading to consoles and PC this year, and if you want to see more of its Columbia gameplay, YouTuber Arekkz has got you covered. Arekkz’s gameplay video is over 19 minutes long and shows more of the Columbian jungle. The video shows Agent 47 taking on a target while showcasing a lot more of what the Columbian map offers. Hitman 2 will launch with a total of six locations. The game also features a standalone co-op called the new Sniper Assassin mode.


Two New Overwatch Halloween Skins Revealed

Overwatch has revealed two new Halloween Terror skins which are for Wrecking Ball and McCree. Since Wreaking Ball is a new character, this will be his very first Halloween Terror event and also his very first Halloween themed skin. He looks like a gremlin and his mech is turned into a scary fire-powered Jack-‘o-lantern. McCree’s skin, on the other hand, is called the “Undead McCree”. This gives him a zombie-like appearance. He has pale skin, creepy glowing eyes and his torn poncho has a skull print on it.


Castlevania Requiem Won’t Be Coming to PC

Konami has previously announced that two of its most beloved games will be re-released. The two games are Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, and they have now been bundled together as Castlevania: Requiem. However, fans of the game may feel a little disappointed as Konami said that the game will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. A representative from the company confirmed that there are no plans to bring the game to any other platforms. the game will be available later this month.


Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Overview Featured in New Video

Treyarch and PlayStation released a brand new video and it features an overview of the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 multiplayer mode. The video is about two minutes long and it features Treyarch co-studio head Dan Bunting talking about the gameplay of the multiplayer mode. Two new modes have also been mentioned as well and they are Heist and Control. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is set to launch on October 12, 2018, and it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.


Darksiders 3 Gets a New Trailer Showcasing the Charred Council

THQ Nordic has released a new trailer for its upcoming game Darksiders 3. The trailer gives us a glimpse at the game’s lore – the Charred Council to be exact. The Charred Council is the one in charge of preserving the balance until the End War brings true balance to the kingdoms of Heaven, Hell, and Men. Darksiders 3 will be available starting November 27th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Pre-orders for the game’s console versions will grant players access 24 hours ahead of release on November 26th.


Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet Complete Edition Release Date Confirmed

Bandai Namco Entertainment America shared a new trailer giving us the information about Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition and its release date. With the fourth and final DLC coming out for Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet called Dissonance of the Nexus, the launch of the Complete Edition of the game has been announced as well. Initially, this had been shared during Tokyo Game Show 2018 which was later on confirmed in the west. The Complete Edition will launch on January 18, 2019.


Black Desert Online to Reveal New Archer Class at This Year’s TwitchCon

Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss have announced that they will be showcasing the new Archer class for Black Desert Online during this year’s TwitchCon. The event is slated to happen from October 26th up until the 28th. The Archer was a much-requested class by players of the game. He is armed with his Crossbow which is paired with this skill combos. He also uses a variety of magic skills which assist him in combat. Black Desert Online will also be getting its Drieghan expansion come November 14th.

Bungie Disables Destiny 2’s Breakthrough Mode

Just two weeks after it first went live, Bungie has taken down the new Breakthrough PVP mode for Destiny 2 to investigate issues surrounding it. Players did not receive the mode well after it became evident that its scoring system rewarded turtling at one’s base instead of capturing the central point. The mode’s spawn points were also easily exploitable. Community manager dmg04 asked players to share their feedback on the mode on Twitter as the devs worked to fix it.


Bethesda Explains Why Fallout 76 Won’t Come to Steam

Bethesda has revealed why it won’t be bringing Fallout 76 to Steam. The game will be launching on PC exclusively through the Bethesda.net launcher. Marketing boss Pete Hines said in an interview that they wanted to have a “direct relationship” with Fallout 76 players given the always-online, multiplayer nature of the game. He also added that doing it this way will simplify things and help in dealing with issues and challenges they’ve seen in the past.


World War 3 Launches in Steam Early Access Next Week

The Farm 51 has announced that its upcoming first-person shooter, World War 3, will be releasing in early access on October 19th. The game sets itself apart by focusing on the authenticity of the experience. Players won’t be able to perform superhuman moves and each weapon will handle the same way you’d expect it to in the real world. It also features 64-player multiplayer matches where the tide of war will see your team switching back and forth between offense and defense throughout the match.


Hellblade Physical Edition Out This December

Heads up collectors! Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be getting a physical release for Xbox One and PS4. Ninja Theory has partnered up with 505 Games for the physical release which becomes available starting December 4th. The physical version contains a digital documentary of the making of the game, but no other extras will come with it. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice first released exclusively as a digital title back in August 2017 for PC and PS4, then on Xbox One last April.


Black Ops 4 Day One Patch is Over 50 GB

Activision has revealed that Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be 55 gigabytes in size. However, they also announced that those who bought a physical copy won’t be able to play the game before downloading a 50 gigabyte patch. What’s more odd is that Activision recommends that you have 112 gigabytes of free space for “an optimized download experience”. The final installation size will still end up as 55 gigabytes though, which begs the question of what the discs actually contain.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead PC Closed Beta Live Now

Overkill’s The Walking Dead’s closed PC beta has started and it is available to all those who pre-ordered the game. It will come with the first 2 missions plus 2 camp defense scenarios. Additional stages will be rolled out before the game officially launches. The closed beta servers would open and close in multiple intervals in order for the studio to address the feedback and make adjustments. The game will launch on November 6 for PC and February 8 and 9 respectively for US and Europe consoles.


Overwatch’s Halloween Terror is Now Live

Overwatch has kicked off this year’s Halloween event! The Halloween Terror 2018 update is available now on the game’s live servers and it runs until October 31st. The past few days Blizzard has revealed the new skins included in the update. This year there will also be two playable modes for Junkenstein’s Revenge which are Junkenstein’s Revenge Classic and Junkenstein’s Revenge: Endless Night. The PvE mode also gets two new heroes: Tracer and Brigitte. Halloween Terror is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.


GTA Online Offers Tons of Free Cash

It’s raining virtual cash over at GTA Online. If you log into the game between now and October 15th, you’ll get 300,000 GTA dollars instantly. You’ll also get a Green Wireframe Body Suit for free. And, if you’ve completed the Stone Hatchet and Double Action Revolver challenges, you’ll get an additional 250,000 for each one. Left Alive Release Set for March 2019

Square Enix has announced the release date for their survival action-shooter Left Alive which is coming on March 5, 2019 in the west, and February 28, 2019 in Japan. The game was developed by key people in the industry, Toshifumi Nabeshima, Yoji Shinkawa, Shinji Hashimoto and Takayuki Yanase. The game is about escaping a “war-torn city” and finding out the story of the survival of the three protagonists. The game comes in two editions, the physical Day One Edition and the Mech Edition bundle.


First Details on Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered Revealed

Ubisoft has shared some details on the upcoming remaster of Assassin’s Creed 3. The game will support 4K resolutions and HDR on PC, Xbox One X and PS4 Pro and will sport higher resolution textures. The game will also feature new character models, a new physically-based lighting rendering system, and denser crowds, environments and visual effects. Ubisoft also says they’ve improved some gameplay mechanics based on player feedback. No release date has been announced yet.


Team Vitality Moves Into the CS:GO Domain

A new French squad is coming to the CS:GO domain. The group is called Team Vitality and they consist of Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt, Dan “apEX” Madesclaire, Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer, Cédric “RpK” Guipouy, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, and Philippe “faculty” Rodier who is also their coach. Some of the members came from different previous teams like the legendary EnvyUS that dominated the year 2015. Team Vitality will be playing in the knockout stage of GG.BET Shuffle IEM Chicago Qualifier.
